Crazy Clip of the Day: Jesse Ventura Freaks Out About the ‘Bilderbergs’

Weird • Views: 10,920

Jesse Ventura’s insanity has reached epic proportions, and now he has a slick production team courtesy of the amazingly irresponsible TruTV — and help from conspiracy freakazoid Alex Jones.

In this clip, Alex Jones tells Ventura the evil Bilderberg group is planning to exterminate 80% of the world’s population, and Ventura promptly reports this to his “staff,” who sit there with dumb, open-mouthed expressions as Jesse rants, then proceed to come up with more crazed theories about “poisoning the medicine.”

ROFLMAO!

If by expert, you mean an expert at string this kind of crap together, well then yes, that does sort of fit.

5 BlackFedora  Thu, Dec 31, 2009 12:48:08pm

You just have to laugh at this nonsense... Jesse goes to a clandestine meeting with Alex Jones...

I stop laughing knowing that so many take this so damn seriously though.

Honestly, Jesse was cooler when he kept saying, "You know what Mean Gene?!" before saying anything back when he was a wrestling announcer.

Abiotic oil - the idea that oil isn't created through biological processes, but through geological processes, and there there is a whole lot more oil than we think because we're not looking for it in the right places thanks to our mistaken notions of how it is formed.

From wiki:

Origins of conspiracy theories

Jonathan Duffy, writing in BBC News Online Magazine states:
“ No reporters are invited in and while confidential minutes of meetings are taken, names are not noted... In the void created by such aloofness, an extraordinary conspiracy theory has grown up around the group that alleges the fate of the world is largely decided by Bilderberg.[28]

Wow, so, if I just don't tell anyone what I'm doing people will assume that I control their fate? Excellent.

re: #29 brookly red

No. Abiotic, meaning: not from life.

Giles is pushing the idea that there is plenty of hydrocarbons in the Earth, as a matter of the physical processes of the Earth and its formation, not as a result of living matter. His essay is beyond idiotic, but because a big part of it is an attack on AGW I expect the righthate-o-sphere to pick it up.

WASHINGTON — A U.S. judge has dismissed all charges against five Blackwater Worldwide security guards charged in a deadly Baghdad shooting.

U.S. District Judge Ricardo Urbina said Thursday the Justice Department overstepped its bounds and wrongly used evidence it was not allowed to see. He said the government's explanations have been contradictory and ubelievable.

Blackwater contractors were hired to guard State Department diplomats in Iraq. Prosecutors say the guards fired on unarmed civilians in a busy intersection in 2007, killing innocent people.

After the shooting, the guards gave statements to State Department investigators. Prosecutors were not allowed to use those statements in the case.

70 The Sanity Inspector  Thu, Dec 31, 2009 1:14:22pm

If we are on the outside, we assume a conspiracy is the perfect working of a scheme. Silent nameless men with unadorned hearts. A conspiracy is everything that ordinary life is not. It's the inside game, cold, sure, undistracted, forever closed off to us. We are the flawed ones, the innocents, trying to make some rough sense of the daily jostle. Conspirators have a logic and a daring beyond our reach. All conspiracies are the same taut story of men who find coherence in some criminal act.
--Don DeLillo, 1988

Combinations of wickedness would overwhelm the world by the advantage which licentious principles afford, did not those who have long practiced perfidy grow faithless to each other.

You should have seen the handing-over ceremony. I was given a list of foods he would and would not eat.

That didn't happen with me. My mother gave me to my wife, with instructions to not return me. Use me, keep me..... that's my label.....

And I had to explain to my wife what I like and what I didn't like. And I had to use to cook for me....

That's why I can't understend islamic marriage. Ok, you have four wifes (good for sex), but you have also four mother's-in-law. That's a men's nightmare.

I think it was thrown out because of how the government extracted statements via threat of job loss. A least that was one of the major problems.

AP sources: Suicide bomber invited on base, not searched

The suicide bomber who killed seven CIA employees and wounded six more at a remote outpost in southeastern Afghanistan had been invited onto the base and had not been searched, two former U.S. officials have told AP.

A former senior intelligence official says the man was being courted as an informant and that it was the first time he had been brought inside the camp.

The official says a senior and experienced CIA debriefer came from Kabul for the meeting, suggesting that the purpose of the meeting was to gain intelligence.

The former intelligence officials and another former official with knowledge of the attack spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

The CIA would not confirm the details, and said they were still gathering evidence.

"It's far too early to draw conclusions about something that happened just yesterday," said spokesman George Little.

A separate U.S. official suggested the bomber may have set off the explosives as he was about to be searched.

True. But a lot of viewers do turn in for yuks, not because they agree with what's being ranted about.

Case in point: a group of leftward coworkers gather on a regular basis to guffaw over the previous night's Glenn Beck spittle spraying. Although they're contributing to his viewership, they aren't supportive by a long shot.

and now he has a slick production team courtesy of the amazingly irresponsible TruTV

You're being a little generous with him there, Charles, but I know you probably mean that he has something that's slicker than the average conspiracy theorist has since they are usually limited to their MS MovieMaker skills and youtube.

As for his show...ignoring the fact that I am a hardcore skeptic (ala Randi, Kurtz, Shermer, et. al) this show is just PATHETIC. It is contrived, scripted, phony, poorly lit, (their DP sucks!), and it seems like it is being written by someone less-than-amateur and certainly acted by people that are less-than amateur. You know your show is sad when the best aspect of it is your narrator.

As for the content, reverting back the aforementioned fact that I am a hardcore skeptic--I'm just sad for anyone uncritical enough to watch that show. I am somewhat heartened to think this, however--if a loony group of people like this with no skills can manage to get some sort of TV show of this uh...caliber...then perhaps there is a chance that the skeptic movement can get one (yes they have Penn & Teller but it's far too 'entertaining' than it is critical) that will help counteract this nonsense.

If by expert, you mean an expert at string this kind of crap together, well then yes, that does sort of fit.

Technically, 'expert' is separate from 'amateur' in the sense that an expert gets paid for what they do and an amateur does not. There is the assumption that if you can make a living at it, then you're good at it.

But then again, what's good about spreading stupidity around to people and fleecing them of their cash in the process?

I started watching a bunch of old Katherine Hepburn movies I'd never seen, last summer, and I was sort of disappointed. I mean, she's awesome, but it's like every movie, there's some man telling KATHERINE HEPBURN that she 'doesn't know how to be a real woman', and he never gets struck by lightening.

I liked "Adam's Rib".

IMHO, Jesse is not actually crazy [nor do I believe that he believes this particular crud]; he is probably taking a page from Beck and Limbaugh ... build your audience by being as bat-shite crazy as possible ... a material [10% or so of the US populace] awaits with baited breath ... ratings and $s appear to trump statesmanship.

You know I wonder about that, too...you look at how a lot of people started off (O'Reilly, Beck, Limbaugh, Ben Stein, etc.) where they were more mainstream in their thinking and then they slowly and steadily move towards an increasingly nutty position. Do they really believe the bullshit they're endorsing, or has it become a means to get a paycheck?

I'm not detecting that Jesse's really falling for this stuff, but all I've seen is this snippet. Reminds me of that series Leonard Nimoy used to do about alien astronauts and things, or a Dan Brown novel. Devil's Advocate just to see where it goes. I'm hoping people are smart enough to see it as entertainment, but you never know- Alex Jones is clearly a circus conman.

Ventura has embraced and promoted the "controlled demolition" explanation for the collapse of WTC towers. He's seen footage of buildings collapsed from actual controlled demolitions, and they looked exactly the same to him, you see. As for those two huge fuel-laden aircraft plowing into them, and all those jumpers --those must have been just a sideshow and a distraction to confuse the gullible masses.

Someone who's not exactly politics as usual? Someone who isn't calcified with special interest money the way most congressmen are?

I can think of dozens of senators and congressmen who say screaming barking crazy things, and advocate for policies that reinforce their crazy. The bigotry they openly espouse, the conspiracy theories they let loose with in front of cameras.

Notice there's a whole lot of talk on this blog about insane things the GOP says, and not so much about Al Frabken? Because he doesn't say crazy things. He's not actually a hack. he's behaving more like a senator than most of the guys we have in there right now.

I'm not sure there is any point in doing that kind of comparative stuff---So and So is no Truman/Reagan/Kennedy, I mean, how could they be.? I think Franken is smart and is willing to work hard and left the glitz of Chevy Chase or Radio yap world and is in the trenches. I guess if he was a mediocre actor or an action figure type he wouldnt be so disdained, but I really don't get the reflexive "clown" shit or putting him up next to elder/dead statesman. I think Franken is quite in line with Wellstone or could be.

Franken is mostly working on healthcare reform. I believe he supports the public option, tho I didn't see it on his page. I was looking for non-healthcare related topics actually.

1. More money for training programs for school principals to be included in No Child Left Behind Act.

2. Supported legislation for federal dairy assistance totaling $290 million.

3. Franken’s amendment on rape included in appropriations bill. An amendment offered by Sen. Al Franken that would withhold defense contracts from contractors if they restrict their employees from taking workplace sexual assault, battery and discrimination cases to court has been included in the final Defense Department appropriations bill, which is scheduled for a floor vote in the House today.

The measure was prompted by the case of Jamie Leigh Jones, a former Halliburton/KBR employee who has alleged that she was raped by several co-workers while working in Iraq in 2005. Jones told reporters in October, after the amendment passed in the Senate, that its adoption “means that every tear shed to go public and repeat my story over and over again to make a difference for other women was worth it.”

4. Hold military contractors accountable for their actions. (see above).

re: #455 reine.de.tout

He simply explained things, was not a bit condescending (some folks could take a lesson from that). I've worked with politicians; Franken did a really good job with how he handled that.

He's a natural. Perhaps he learned how to compose himself in large crowds from his career in show business. Another thing too is that as a senator he still has to represent and communicate with people from his state many of whom voted for Norm Coleman. It must be tougher for senators since they represent states as opposed to districts which tends to be more focused.

re: #439 marjoriemoon

Taken from Senator Franklin's website

These are his good points? re #2. I don't think dairy farmers, peanut farmers, cattle ranchers or anyone else needs my money to do their job. re #3. It is already illegal for anyone to prohibit their employees from pressing these charges in court. Having been in both theaters with said civilian employees, nothing prohibited this woman from walking into an MP head shed and saying someone had raped her...which is all it takes to get an investigation going. This is an alleged crime which she allegedly was too pressured to report to appropriate authorities. She allegedly told her employers (they deny it) and they allegedly did not pursue it. They were wrong (if guilty) but existing laws already cover it. This is an easy political gambit intended to make the current administration look bad and Franken look sympathetic. Meaningless drivel. Which makes #4 look pretty pathetic since it apparantly is only #3 rehashed. So, 1 point for Sen Franken.

I'm changing the subject, for those who wish, after watching the latest discussion on TV about The War On Terror that doesn't seem to have happened with this administration.

We have the Gitmo crowd now coming here as common criminals (US citizen criminals yet) and the little castrated (hopefully) wannabe mass murderer along with Hassan the shooter, now told by their lawyers that they shouldn't talk anymore.

In the latter cases in particular, this is insane as their guilt is not in question. We must also be insane to think that we should tell them not to talk, whether we waterboard them or not.

I think this, along with the farcical trials to come of the Gitmo crowd will be the defining down moment of this administration in the coming years.

Sorry you feel that way. Finding out a little bit more about the dairy bill, I found this.

This rule implements the new Dairy Economic Loss Assistance Payment (DELAP) program. ... The payments provided by the DELAP program are intended to offset a portion of the dairy producers' losses resulting from milk prices that were far below production costs.

I don't see anything wrong with that.

As to the contractors, the whole idea of mercenaries has never sat well with me anyway. They seem to be more trouble than what they're worth. I don't know the specifics of this case, but the video of Franken in #426 shows this woman has been fighting for 4 years to bring her allegations of gang rape to court.

The part I saw - he was interviewing someone who said he was an aviation investigator, and he had NEVER been to an accident scene where the black boxes could not be recovered. Maybe HE hasn't; but I think there are plenty of airplane accidents where the black boxes aren't recovered.

Wow. So she made the whole thing up. The rape and the fact that she wasn't allowed to prosecute it. That's what you think?

The woman was gang raped by Halliburton employees and locked in a shipping crate to prevent her from immediately reporting it. It occurred outside of US criminal jurisdiction, Iraq, even while working for an American company. Her employment contract, what Franken and others were fighting against, prevented her from a PUBLIC trial, only to be settled in private arbitration where Halliburton has the favor.

Even if you think this woman is a liar, these stipulations in an employment contract are despicable (possibly unconstitutional) and should not be the practice of any American run corporation. Oh yea, it's Halliburton.

Let me finish this explanation - Ventura seemed to think that the 9/11 hijackers were in the cockpits BEFORE the planes took off, and that authorities knew it BEFORE the planes took off, and the black boxes are supposed to "prove" this, so the gov't has claimed the black boxes were never found when they really were found.

A whole new conspiracy from others I've heard.

Agreed. Al Franken is a jackass.

Seeking fame, recognition and ego gratification in hollywood, politics or the media are all similar in their appeals to vanity.

The politicians are especially hypocritical as they present themself as public-servents and conceal their self interest in rhetoric as they try to build a personality cult around themselves.

At least with the actors the vanity is out in the open and honest.

I've worked with politicians, and I agree that very often the ego thing is very similar in politicians as it is in actors.

However, take a look at this video posted earlier, if you will. I was impressed with how well Franken handled this situation with a woman questioning him, the woman was wearing a tea-party t-shirt. He did an excellent job, imo. And spent quite a bit of time.

Woah! I never said she made the whole thing up! I said the whole thing is still just alleged in that it has not gone to court yet. AND I stipulated the men who improperly handled it, if they did, were wrong. I will go further and say, if what she alleges is found to be true, they should be severely punished. But no NEW law is required. Oh, and our laws DO apply to the Halliburton employees because the are 1) American citizens, 2) violating local law 3) violating General Order No. 1 which applies to contractors, employees, and military and 4) the alleged crimes took place on a military installation, even if located in a foreign country. So again no NEW law is required but rather, enforcement of existing laws. Also, Federal authorities have already ruled that part of the contract wihich required arbitration could not be enforced because it violates labor laws.

My perception of Al Franken is more a distaste for his personality and demeanor and is no doubt influenced by the way he acquired his office, its significance in creating the 60 votes, and his personification of a snarky leftist media elite.

If he was a Republican I'd probably like him for all the same reasons. Go figure.

I stated earlier - I found in his former life, he was as harsh as Ann Coulter, who I also do not like, in part for that reason.

But I was very very impressed with his demeanor in that video. I also stated earlier - I've worked with politicians, and it's rare to see one being so open and forthcoming.
