I got up this morning and WOW what a day! I opened the blinds and looked out on the water and saw a bird (and I am certain at one point, I could quote the species etc.). But this morning, out there on the neighbors buoy was this "big black bird" with his wings outstretched.... sunning and drying in the early morning sunlight.
And I thought, damn - I am lucky.

This story understates what is understood about the mathematical constant "pi". The article writes that the constant's digits are believed never to end or repeat. In fact, this is not just believed, it is known. It has been known for centuries. [Link: en.wikipedia.org...]

For legal purposes, it is the "alleged [insert crime]" until there is a concluded trial, at which point the defendant either becomes the "convicted [insert crime]" or the "acquitted [insert crime]".
This is not evidential of a disease or an insidious creeping of political correctness, it is our legal justice system, where all are innocent until proven guilty.
In other words, it's not a bug, it's a feature.

Visually it was breathtaking. The story, on the other hand, was boilerplate. Which in and of itself isn't a bad thing since the movie did have other things to offer. The one thing I must say about the script was that I thought it was very well paced. Avatar moved quickly enough to not bore me, but not so much so that it felt rushed. I give it major points for that because not every movie does it well.
Liberal slant? When people say that I wonder if they've ever seen a Cameron movie before.

Unknown. We're still compiling all the info and records for the visa application. I'm hoping to have it by the end of Feb at the latest. Assuming they issue me one at all. I have heard some real horror stories.
But, on the bright side, Jimmah just made some work arrangements that will let him be physically away from Scotland for a longer period-- so right now, it looks like once he gets all the UK-side records together, he can come over to the US and wait with me. So i think we'll be able to be together again, albeit in the US, in a couple of weeks.
And if all else fails, he'll simply move here to the US. This wouldn't be the ideal situation for us for several reasons, but at least we'd be together.

Dang, this Halperin/Hielmann book Game Change sure does have a lot of gossip about the campaign...Biden kept on separate conference calls because Obama was so irritated at him:
Book: Obama, Biden clashed in '08
The relationship between Barack Obama and Joe Biden grew so strained during the 2008 campaign, according to a new book, that the two rarely spoke and aides not only kept Biden off internal conference calls but refused to even tell him they existed.
snip
when Obama campaign manager David Plouffe was asked about having Biden dial into the nightly campaign conference call, he responded: “Nah.” Instead, Biden had his own call with Plouffe and senior campaign adviser David Axelrod.
Obama himself was growing increasingly frustrated with his running mate after Biden let loose with a string of gaffes, including a statement that paying higher taxes amounted to patriotism and criticism of one of the campaign’s own ads poking fun at John McCain.
But when Biden, at an October fund-raiser in Seattle, famously predicted that Obama would be tested with an international crisis, the then-Illinois senator had had enough.
“How many times is Biden gonna say something stupid?” he demanded of his advisers on a conference call, a moment at which most people on the call said the candidate was as angry as they had ever heard him.

If my friend Oslogin ("Critique of Islam is the same as Anti-Semitism") is reading in this thread, I recommend him reading this article in the JPost:
'Jew-hating, Islamophobia incomparable'
Germany's largest Jewish community has sharply criticized the parallel drawn between anti-Semitism and Islamophobia by historian Wolfgang Benz.
Maya Zehden, a spokeswoman for the 12,000-member Berlin Jewish community, told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday that "Benz's position has not changed. It is not beneficial when one compares anti-Semitism with Islamophobia."
Benz, the first non-Jewish head of the Berlin Center for Anti-Semitism Research, has been embroiled in an international controversy since he introduced his thesis that "the fury of the new enemies of Islam parallels the older rage of anti-Semites against the Jews."
In last Monday's edition of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, which reaches more than 1.1 million readers each day, Benz wrote an article equating anti-Semitism with hatred of Islam.
Critics see Benz as mounting an academic campaign to conflate anti-Semitism with Islamophobia, and argue that there was no pressing news event to disseminate his thesis. Benz declined to respond to multiple Post queries.
He has argued in media interviews that "there are only structural parallels" between anti-Semitism and hostility toward Islam. In connection with bias hatred of Islam, he has said that "the exclusion of something unknown is as dangerous as anti-Semitism."
Jewish community members, however, see Benz as merging anti-Semitism with discrimination against Muslims. Critics in the US, Israel and Germany have argued that the Berlin Center is marginalizing the Holocaust and failing to understand the seriousness of murderous anti-Semitism.
His unwavering endorsement of the Islamophobia thesis has strained his relations with Jews in Germany. The 86-year-old head of the Nuremberg Jewish Community, Arno Hamburger, told the Post last week that he rejected the Berlin Center's parallel and saw it as a form of "schizophrenia."
"There is no acute danger coming from Jews," in contrast to radical Islam, he said.
Hamburger is the longest serving chairman of a Jewish community in Germany; he has overseen the Nuremberg community since 1972.
Last March, the Berlin Jewish community met with Benz and expressed its disappointment and misgivings over the Center's shift away from anti-Semitism research, his comparison between Jew-hatred and discrimination against Muslims, and the failure of the Center to publicly criticize the anti-Israeli Durban II UN anti-racism conference.
A widely read German pro-Israel blog, Lizas Welt, deemed Benz's comparison as "unspeakable" and a mockery of the attempted murder of Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard by a political Islamist on January 1.
Writing in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, Benz deplored that "Islam is associated with terror and extremism" and that an entire religion and culture is subjected to discrimination.

And I'd simply recommend you to stop lying, and to stop finding new threads to lie about me on. I have never said or even implied that critique of Islam is the same as anti-Semitism; and by the way, Islamophobia - if that term, which I generally refrain from using at all, is supposed to have any meaning whatsoever.
Let me also point to you this blogpost by Deborah Lipstadt, since you claim to be such an avid fan of her: [Link: lipstadt.blogspot.com...]
According to the AP a Muslim woman was arrested for refusing to take off her head scarf at a courthouse security checkpoint. She was ordered to serve 10 days in jail for contempt of court, said police in Douglasville, a city of about 20,000 people on Atlanta's west suburban outskirts.
[...]
I guess the good ole boys who run the court did not like it. If this happened to someone wearing a kipah Jews would be up in arms and rightfully so. There is no difference here.
.
I guess that's Lipstadt engaging in what you would call soft-core denialism (quoting her), by pointing out a similarity between anti-Islamic bigotry and anti-Semitism.

Let me add:
I understand your need to reduce banning minarets, which was what we originally discussed, to a "critique of Islam"; but even if it makes your world much easier, that's not what it is: banning minarets is bigotry, and it's in violation of religious freedom, a basic human right.

Just popped this in spinoffs: excerpt from Game Change. Backstory on the Edwards campaign and the affair.
St Elizabeth and the Ego Monster
A candidate whose aides were prepared to block him from becoming president. A wife whose virtuous image was a mirage. A mistress with a video camera. In an excerpt from the new book Game Change—their sweeping account of the 2008 campaign—the authors reveal that, inside the Edwards triangle, nothing was too crazy to be true.
NYmag is exaggerating when they characterise it as showing that Elizabeth Edwards' virtuous image is a mirage, but it's still worth reading if you want to know about what was happening within the Edwards campaign. (assuming this is true).
However much you already dislike John Edwards, you'll come away liking him even less.

You claimed several times, that Anti-semitism is not different from hostility towards Muslims (while for you, this hostility is not even limited to actual xenophobia, but every critique of Islam, such as pointing out the misogynic function of headscarves or the claim to power that materializises in minarets).
As for Lipstadt, I can only repeat myself from this thread:
Even if she might regressed in recent years [...], it does not derogate her former work and her point of softcore-denial of the Holocaust is still true for people who claim that Muslims are the Jews of today and that after a ban for minarets the next ideological step are gas-chambers.

Heh. Yeah, that spin will work. Not.
The book also claims to reveal just what Bill Clinton said that pissed Ted Kennedy off so much:
One of the enduring mysteries of the 2008 campaign was what got Ted Kennedy so mad at Bill Clinton. The former president's entreaties, at some point, backfired, and the explanation has never quite emerged.I've finally gotten my hands on a copy of Game Change, in which John Heliemann and Mark Halperin report:
[A]s Hillary bungled Caroline, Bill’s handling of Ted was even worse. The day after Iowa, he phoned Kennedy and pressed for an endorsement, making the case for his wife. But Bill then went on, belittling Obama in a manner that deeply offended Kennedy. Recounting the conversation later to a friend, Teddy fumed that Clinton had said, "A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee."
Clinton could possibly have a better defence for his statement than Reid for his, in that he could conceivably have been referring to Obama's junior status in the Senate and relatively recent appearance on the national scene compared to them, but allegedly Kennedy sure didn't take it that way.

I think Obama, of all people, knows damned well that we're not post-racial. The point was to run a campaign that stayed, as much as possible, above the rhetoric of race.
And no one would deny that racists can be Democrats too. Some however do like to claim that it's people who point out racism who are 'the real racists'.

I've said repeatedly that that is a short sighted view. People tend to think of history as a place where people dealt with each other with respect and were only critical over actual policy differences, which is a crock. Look at the first year of Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Johnson, etc.... They took a beating. The first year of a presidency is rough and this president walked into a tough situation and he hasn't made it easy on himself. Why do you want to blame racism, when this country just elected a black man which would have been unheard of just 40 years ago, instead of looking at what has actually been happening with his policy issues?

Well, I disagree. We are in a great respect, post racial. We elected a Black man by a wide margin which is something that never could have happened 30 or 40 years ago. Have we solved all our racial problems? Of course not and Obama has said the same, but we've come miles away from where we were.

I just wanted to point out that there are some - repeat SOME - inveterate racists out there who cannot bring themselves to just call Obama the N-word, which makes them open to the most unfounded and ridiculous claims and cricicism against him.
There are grounds to disagree with Obama and it should be possible to hold a civil and reasonable discourse about it, without threats, slurs and falsehoods. But for some pople, that seems to be either impossible or just uniniteresting.

Morning; I see this is still going and I will try my best not to get deleted again.
Honestly, while pure color of skin racism certainly exists, the primary "racism" that is usually referenced is not skin color, but culture.
There is no denying that there exist both white and black subcultures that aren't pretty, and clearly there are people like, for example, Reverend Wright who do all they can make sure there are distinct and confrontational cultural, if not racist, boundaries.
Perhaps, using the right terminology, one can suggest that Obama can stand on both sides of the boundary?

re: #144 RogueOne
I've said repeatedly that that is a short sighted view. People tend to think of history as a place where people dealt with each other with respect and were only critical over actual policy differences, which is a crock. Look at the first year of Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Johnson, etc... They took a beating. The first year of a presidency is rough and this president walked into a tough situation and he hasn't made it easy on himself. Why do you want to blame racism, when this country just elected a black man which would have been unheard of just 40 years ago, instead of looking at what has actually been happening with his policy issues?
Rogue I feel for Obama because he can not rely on good will from those of his own party. He is isolated in a way that no other President has ever been. I suppose it will be the same for the first woman president.

We pray Father for our dear Lizards in need... Those that cry out for help and comfort in this hour.

What a way to start the morning, got a call at six from mom crying and being incoherant so I rushed over there. I find dad laying in about a quart of blood in bed and barely concious. So I got EMS and the ambulance and got him taken to Bayfront. Diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, irregular heart beat, and now liver cancer and chemo are just eating him up.
If anyone is the praying sort I would appreciate a few said for him, that they at least get the bleed stopped and can stabilize him. I know that we are going to lose him soon, but this quickly is going to be awfully hard on mom.

Well, I disagree. We are in a great respect, post racial. We elected a Black man by a wide margin which is something that never could have happened 30 or 40 years ago. Have we solved all our racial problems? Of course not and Obama has said the same, but we've come miles away from where we were.
Racism is still alive, period. One could argue (I suppose) who is more racist, Democrats or Republicans, but what's the point in that? How are you going to prove anything?

I keep seeing people, not you, trying to blame the rough treatment the president is receiving as completely unfounded and therefore must be based on racism when the evidence to the contrary is everywhere to be seen. His policy positions are growing increasingly unpopular and they seriously overreached this last year. People all across the political divide are irritable. I keep pointing out how quickly the independent vote is bailing on them because if they don't get their heads out of their asses they're going to make the clinton mid-terms in '94 look like the good ol' days.

I don't know how that study correlates to how people feel about Obama or how accurate it is at all. White people are supposed to judge their feelings about the name "Shaniqua?" Sorry, but what the hell is that supposed to mean or prove?
Obama is primarily judged on his policies. He's a popular liberal and still remains popular with his party even if there is disappointment. There is a very small minority in this country that won't accept anything coming from a Black man. Maybe they get a lot of press, but I believe does not represent the majority of his supporters OR detractors.

Maybe you can talk her into getting a 2 yr associate degree somewhere? A lot of people whose HS records aren't the best do that, and a lot of 4 yr colleges will let you then transfer in and accept many of those credits towards a degree.

Evidence of An Ancient Amazonian Civilization Found
David Grann, author of the book "The Lost City of Z," points out that the existence of the ruins overturns the previously held belief that this portion of the Amazon basin had always been a pristine wilderness, even though legends of a lost Amazonian city still lingered by the time the Spanish arrived on the continent.
"Although the early conquistadores had heard from the Indians about a fabulously rich Amazonian civilization, which they named El Dorado, the searches for it invariably ended in disaster," Grann wrote on The New Yorker's Web site. "Thousands were wiped out by disease and starvation. And after a toll of death and suffering worthy of Joseph Conrad, most scholars concluded that El Dorado was no more than an illusion."

The settlement is so ancient that it undercuts the long-held theory that the Americas were first populated by the Clovis people, who crossed the Bering Strait from Asia at the end of the Ice Age, settled in North America around 11,000 years ago, and then gradually migrated down to Central and South America.
In the cave and at a nearby riverbank settlement, Roosevelt made another astonishing discovery: pottery that dates to 7,500 years ago, predating by more than 2,000 years the earliest pottery found in the Andes or Mesoamerica. This means that the Amazon may have been the earliest ceramic-producing region in all the Americas, and that, as Fawcett radically argued, the region was possibly even a wellspring of South American civilization - that an advanced culture had spread outward, rather than vice versa.
Plus, we already have the "Topper" dig that says the clovis people theory is off by at least 30,000 years.

Pet import to Singapore is relatively easy but costly and requires a quarantine of 4 weeks. Dogs and cats from Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Ireland are exempt from quarantine. From September 2004, all imported dogs and cats must be identified with an ISO-compatible microchip. Dogs/cats without or with unreadable microchips may be deported or detained for any necessary action. For Documents and vaccinations required see below.
What you need to know before importing your pet
The hot climate and the law requiring dogs be leashed in public places restrict freedom of action considerably. Category A & B dogs must also be muzzled while in public. While approved breeds of dogs are permitted in HDB flats, cats cannot be kept there.
Prior before your pet import to Singapore you need written permission of your landlord to keep a pet at your home in Singapore. Each dog needs a license that is renewed yearly. The license will be revoked if the dog causes a nuisance (excessive barking, defecating in public, biting etc.)
Note: Only certain breeds of dogs are allowed in apartments and permission depends also on the landlord.
Cats are generally not permitted in HDB flats.
Hope this helps,
William

Suspending taxes on 'capital formation' only helps those with the capital to formate more of it. It does nothing for the middle class and people floating just above the poverty level.

There were many areas where soil was mixed with ash to create better ag soil. I forget the man who found this.
Most of the soil in the Amazon is not good for growing food grade crops, the previous civilization knew this and countered.
Where there is the will, there's a way...
[Link: www.boston.com...]
Using aerial photography and satellite imaging, scientists have also begun to find enormous man-made earth mounds and causeways across the Amazon - in particular in the Bolivian flood plains where Fawcett first found his shards of pottery. Clark Erickson, an anthropologist from the University of Pennsylvania who has studied these earthworks in Bolivia, says that the mounds allowed the Indians to continue farming during seasonal floods. To create them, he said, required extraordinary labor and engineering: tons of soil had to be transported, the course of rivers altered, canals excavated, and interconnecting roadways and settlements built. In many ways, he said, the mounds "rival the Egyptian pyramids."

There are grounds for criticism, even for tough criticism, I am not blaming racism on that. I am talking about the birthers and death panelists, about the folks portraying him as a fascist/communist/zionist/manchurian candidate/cryptoislamist witch doctor/shoeshine boy.

True for small populations but what will be found here if not already known is that the sheer numbers of people populating the area is what caused the collapse of El Dorado.
No more firewood for the cookfires. No more charcoal production and having to move further out from the prime center of the city to find those essentials. 60,000 in that day was a huge population. Much larger of any European population center in the same era.

Question for lizards who read sci-fi and fantasy books. Who are your favorite authors? Today when I cruised the SF/F section in the local Barnes&Noble what I saw is that over half the shelf space looks to be turning into vampire (or at least supernatural) as the primary subject. Not my cup of tea.
I'm currently working my way through the Pratchett Discworld books, but there are a few authors that I consider (or buy) on sight when I see them on the shelf:
Lois McMaster Bujold
Iain M Banks (thought the last few haven't quite been as good)

Being more serious, I'll agree that is their weakness. The secondary is iffy too. However, Dallas under Romo have a bad habit of choking and the game will be in the noisedome which gives me hope. It should be an interesting game to watch.

another epic fail you can lay squarely at feet of the donks and their enviroweenie minions...we have plenty of gas and oil around here
100 years from now the major epic fail will be recognized as the "No Nukes" movement. If we had just built another 300 nuclear power plants over the past 40 years think of how much less dependent on oil we would be.
Fewer terrorists and less global warming too!

Activists Missing After Declaring “War on Leather” at Motorcycle Rally
Excerpts:
“Something just went wrong,” said a still visibly shaken organizer of the protest. “Something just went horribly, horribly, wrong.”
[snip]“I…I was trying to show my outrage at a man with a heavy leather jacket, and he…he didn’t even care. I called him a murderer, and all he said was, ‘You can’t prove that.’ Next thing I know he forced me to ride on the back of his motorcycle all day, and would not let me off, because his girl friend was out of town and I was almost a woman.”
[snip]When confronted with the allegations of force-feeding the activists meat, using them as ad hoc latrines, leaving them incapacitated in fast food restaurant dumpsters, and ‘farting on their heads,’ the organizer declined to comment in detail. “That’s just our secret handshake,” assured the organizer.

There's a good chance - almost a certainty - that they're going to lose their super-majority of 60 in the fall. Not surprising that they're agitating to change the rules.
It was a bad idea when the GOP proposed it a couple of years ago, and it remains a bad idea now.

We had Iraq and Iran at war for most of the 80's, and selling thier oil at $10 a barrel to finance their militaries. That gave us absolutely no impetus to either conserve, convert or develop local and/or alternative sources.

Actually a interesting thread over at Hot Air discussing Avatar. About half the posters loved the movie, the other half sees a liberal slant and condemn it.
I saw it recently. Love the 3D. The liberal slant I presume is that in this case the funny looking people win?
Honestly, I give the story line a C. It was nothing but a vehicle for a combination of cool hardware and cool nature special effects, and I thought the one word explanation for the mining was tacky. "Unobtainium"? Give me a break.
The other part that had no rational attempted explanation was the pretty floating mountains. There they went for the scenery, and zero attempt to make sense of anything.
Anyway, a great visual experience. Go see it if you haven't but leave your critical half at home. Obviously I didn't.

Yes, that's what was fascinating. The scientist built on the premise that they actually mixed in the soil repeatedly, ash and other materials, over a period of time (or seasonally). This is a massive amount of work, but the soil would be sustainable.
I have to find it now...
In the west of Ireland, they used to burn and mulch seaweed, somehow. The soil out there is incredibly poor, they spend generations building up patches that could be used for farming.

I had high hopes for them (like I always do, dammit) until the Arizona game. That's when I realized that Farve or no they were the same Vikings I've known, loved and been dumped on for more than 25 years...

It wasn't quite clear - to me, anyway - that the single reference to "unobtainium" was meant as an earnest statement of the mineral's name or was uttered as sarcasm. I took it as the latter, that the corporate suit who made the statement was simply dripping snark.
As noted, it hardly matters. The movie is about keeping the action in motion, and anything that interferes with that goal - plot, character development, backstory, etcetera - gets shoved aside. Even NPR was critical of the stereotypical, broad-brushed storyline. Like me, though, they agreed that such weighty concerns are secondary to a movie meant as pure entertainment, and one that was never intended to put any stress on higher brain functions.

Posted by Reverend Mike
Washington DC (GlossyNews) — The US Transportation Security Administration today announced effective February 1, 2010, the Administration will take the word “Security” out of its title, becoming simply the US Transportation Administration.
The official spokesman for the Administration, Roger ‘ Pink ‘ Floyd, told the Glossy News this morning, “The whole security thing is a lot harder than we originally thought. We think it is just beyond the scope of services we can offer at this time.”

Seems like it. There are a couple video links in the story. It's incredible. Not only the technological ability to make it but the amount of knowledge that had been gained about the universe around them that the makers didn't understand but were still able to account for in a time piece. Humanity has always been impressively ingenious.

You claimed several times, that Anti-semitism is not different from hostility towards Muslims
See, here you come closer to the truth. I have said - repeatedly - that one could easily draw comparisons between some kinds of anti-Islamic bigotry in modern-day Europe and anti-Semitism in the form that existed in for instance 1814 or 1914 in Norway. And I'm not the only one to do so, the ADL makes a comparison between the minaret ban and the ban on kosher meat in Switzerland a century ago. From their statement:
This is not the first time a Swiss popular vote has been used to promote religious intolerance. A century ago, a Swiss referendum banned Jewish ritual slaughter in an attempt to drive out its Jewish population. We share the FSJC's stated concern that those who initiated the anti-minaret campaign could try to further erode religious freedom through similar means.
Source: Jerusalem Post:
[Link: www.jpost.com...]
Now, that's a very direct comparison of an effect of anti-Semitism and an effect of anti-Islamic bigotry. But perhaps you are implying that the ADL- too - is engaged in "soft-core denialism"? Your abuse of Lipstadt's term - motivated from your own support of minaret bans - is rather painfully clear.
(while for you, this hostility is not even limited to actual xenophobia, but every critique of Islam, such as pointing out the misogynic function of headscarves or the claim to power that materializises in minarets).
And here, once again, you apparently find it necessary to lie, and to claim that I have said something that I have - obviously - never said. You're so cute! I have however said that banning minarets or for that matter headscarves is illiberal.

Europe Slapping Rich With Massive Traffic Fines
Switzerland, other European nations are slapping rich drivers with massive traffic fines
[snip]
Advocates say a $290,000 (euro203,180.83) speeding ticket slapped on a millionaire Ferrari driver in Switzerland was a fair and well-deserved example of the trend.
[snip]
In Germany the maximum fine can be as much as $16 million compared to only $1 million in Switzerland.
I suppose requiring the offender to watch James Dean's traffic saftey public service message would be construed as cruel and unusual punishment.

...which is exactly the belittlement of Anti-Semitism that I critizise. You do not only trivialize Anti-Semitism to some form of xenophobia, which it is not, but you claim that there exists a form of "anti-Islamic-bigotry" - as in your world, human beings are nothing, collectives are everything and Islam as an ideology should not be critizised. This is especially disgusting when it comes in the form of "basic human rights", since people like you couldn't care less for real sufferings of human individuals (most of the are people who were so unlucky to be born into Islamic socialization) under Islamic rules. The cold-blooded ignorance for real suffering is attended with the immunization of Islam against every critique.
It is senseless to talk about the ADL with you: people like you will always cite their Jews on Demand to get a kosher-certificate of their resentments. I wouldn't be surprised if you come up with Norman Finkelstein or Hedy Epstein the next time you speak out against Israel.

Finkelstein? Seriously? That's your reply? You're not seriously comparing ADL and Finkelstein, are you?
But of course you don't want to discuss the fact that ADL - a leading organisation in the battle against anti-Semitism - draws a historical comparison between the result of anti-Semitism and the result of anti-Islamic bigotry.

They both serve for people with certain resentments: Finkelstein grants the kosher-certificate for Israel-haters and you are misusing the ADL to trivialize Anti-Semitism.
ADL - a leading organisation in the battle against anti-Semitism
Even though I appreciate the fact that the ADL is pointing out certain anti-semitic incidents, one has to keep in mind that they are often wrong and fail to critizise Anti-semitism, blatantly here: "We share the FSJC's stated concern that those who initiated the anti-minaret campaign could try to further erode religious freedom through similar means."
Anti-semitism has nothing to do with religion or religious freedom, but of course this sentence is excellent for people like you, who want to immunize Islam against every critique and therefor cite the Jews on Deman to "prove" that banning of minarets is an act of Anti-Semitism.
