Later this year, we’ll be launching a two-pronged campaign by which we hope to increase both the reach and efficiency of the blogosphere, as well as to bring pressure to bear on the media at large. Much of this effort will involve a loose network of bloggers that we’re now in the process of recruiting in order that we might all coordinate on exposing the failures of certain news outlets, for instance. This campaign is being planned in large part around software that’s currently in development by open-source advocate and information technology specialist Andrew Stein and which we believe will assist bloggers in making better use of their medium’s existing advantages; this system will provide for a measurable advance in the manner by which bloggers may distribute, obtain, evaluate, and build upon segments of information.

Back in the day, Rush must have raised LGF traffic hits and exposure with his praising Charles's work on the Rather affair, and mentioning LGF on his radio show.

As Johnson recently reminded me, he once attempted a similar improvement on the blogosphere in 2004 by co-founding the conservative blog compendium Pajamas Media. He later repudiated it as “just another right-wing parrot organization” and sold off his share in 2007. I ran across LGF on the blogroll of a rather conservative German site (www.gegenstimme.net) that I used to argue with to practice my written German skills. That site has since gone so far downhill that I rarely even visit and have stopped posting.

Whilst its good that you got decent exposure Charles, its rather sad that something that something as completely uncontroversial as standing up to racist gobshites should now be seen as so newsworthy.

Its sadly a measure of how far (parts at least) of the conservartive moment have sunk.

What's that sound I hear? Far off in the distance...why, it's the sounds of tiny, tiny wingnut heads exploding like popcorn kernels.

First of all, it's old news that Rush dropped LGF from his show prep list. Secondly, Rush apparently has no love for R.S. McCain, so what does McCain care if he also has no love for LGF?

...And Rush Limbaugh has sat back and done nothing as this cancer has spread virulently over the past few years. Look at what they’re doing right now to Robert Stacy McCain. They’re attacking him because he said it’s perfectly rational and natural for people to feel a revulsion to interracial marriage. They’re also going after him because he’s evidently written for American Renaissance, one of the finest publications in America. And what has Rush Limbaugh had to say about all this? Nothing that I’m aware of. And it’s not like he doesn’t know about it – it’s been the main topic on several popular blogs, McCain himself has a huge readership, and even Rachel Maddow has brought it up on national TV. I guess when liberals attack Robert Stacy McCain and accuse him of “racism”, they’re just attacking Robert Stacy McCain. But when they go after Rush Limbaugh, they’re attacking all of us.

You're absolutely right, and it is a measure of how much the so-called 'conservative' blogosphere has apparently signed itself over to teh crazy: the way they cast out CJ as an apostate or heretic because he wouldn't sign on for going Full Metal Wingnut-- going along with every made-up bit of garbage they're currently pushing.

Merely posting pictures of teabagger rallies has earned him all sorts of abuse and slanders.
I don't know anyone sane in the conservative blogosphere any more. If you have any good recommendations I would love to hear them, because this is the only place I know of where I can engage with sane conservatives.

This sounds terrific! Right now I'm just disgusted with politics, there's so damn much BS. But this sounds like it actually might be fun and right now, I could use some fun.
