Just got back from seeing the movie "The Lovely Bones".

Turribull... Just turribull.

I read the book.
The movie left out a ton of stuff that made the story make sense.

re: #13 reine.de.tout

What a pretentious sack of crap the movie was though. I don't think Peter was sure what he wanted to do. Meandering, self-important poo-poo movie.

The book worth reading?

Hiya Toots!

Maybe it's just me but, I don't understand why people pay money to sit in a dark room and allow others to manipulate their senses, their thoughts and their emotions.

Hiya Toots!

I enjoyed the book. I didn't think I would, but I did.
Too much in it to put in the movie - so if you didn't read the book, the movie isn't going to make sense, imo. (Oh, I saw the movie too).

re: #16 MandyManners

Have a good nap?

Yes.
I've been lucky, not one sniffle all winter.
And now I have a bitch of a cold. My throat is sore, my head hurts, I don't feel like doing anything - wah wah wah!

oops, I see you've already answered that. Take care and try the shiitake broth if you can. I haven't tried it with a cold yet but it certainly clears out sinuses and lungs and it's supposed to boost the immune system too.

Got a bunch of kosher restaurants I plan to visit. My parents are elderly, but they love adult beverages, so we'll get smashed together.

I don't what it is about the Japanese. At times they overboard with the weird, the plot, or just plain talking in the worst way. But there are times they hit it out of the park with the story, plot, action, horror, and the weird. Case in point FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Shogun Assassin, this video, Princess Mononoke, etc. :-3

Well I drove 300 miles today to escape for a few hours, so I can hardly deny your point. We drove up to Red Rock Canyon, near Ridgecrest. Beautiful clear cold day. Got some good photos. Rented a wicked car for the trip, a Dodge Challenger.
