One of the problems with building a movement on a base of populist rage is that it tends to attract rage-a-holics who would rather die than compromise on anything at all, the kind of people who will just as easily turn their rage on each other when disagreements pop up.

Today the organizers of the National Tea Party Convention sent out an angry email demonstrating this principle, naming and attacking their critics and revealing some of the ugly infighting going on behind the scenes. Dave Weigel has the email: National Tea Party Convention Organizers Push Back.
