Harry Reid Supporters Threaten Violence Against Breitbart at Tea Party Protest

Supporters of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid staged a counter-protest today in Searchlight, Nevada, the Senator’s hometown. Reid supporters gathered just down the road from the launching point of the Tea Party Express tour, and when Breitbart happened upon them, he was met with threats of violence. At least one protester threw an egg at Brietbart, missing him. Eggs were also thrown at the Tea Party Express bus.

To add insult to insult, Reid supporters called the police to report that Breitbart had provoked an incident.

Very expensive precious stones…I have some real sun stones..Got them from my mom…Really rare precious stones..I guess there is only one place on Earth you can find them…They look like pink diamonds and polish perfectly clear as a rare gem.. My kids will get them or I’ll end up doing a wild week in Vegas..Shit is worth some money.

I have a lot of both worked and rough opal here. As soon as I can put a few bucks aside, I am going to reinvest in some lapidary tools. I need at least a small rock saw and a grinding station. I like flat grinders, but wheels will do too.

That stone did sell, but to a dealer or collector who has it put away. Finest stone I ever got in the same room with. It should be a named stone at a museum. One of the largest flawless diamonds in the world. I expect I’ll never get to a finer diamond.

I was looking at a small table top set up (5 inch saw, and the top turns into a flat grinder)… use… Inland… wanted 365 for it, no pads, but about 10 diamond saws.

I just don’t have that right now. But that’s the type of unit that would work best for me right now, since I am mainly interested in working opals and turquoise (have a ton of rough turquoise) and just some small slab work.

Since the new LGF Cookbook is about to make its debut, I’ve come up with an idea for a companion volume.

The LGF Book of Snarky Cocktails.

Plus we had a person drop out who was doing the collating and design of things in the proper format to be uploaded to LULU.com, and Jaunte took on that portion, also, as he had access to the right software and someone who knew how to use it.

I actually do notice a political angle on this. Lizards, for the most part, aren’t really into the Jaimie Oliver program but it’s very popular with Dkos, HUffpo and left wing blogs. Reason Magazine is producing articles and videos talking about what a douche Oliver is and that McDonald’s is really great. Malkin has written that the school lunch program by Mrs Obama is a leftist plot to empower the unions (not kidding). Zombie wrote an article for PJM attacking school garden programs.
Tonight is one of the Earth Hour events and winguts are advocating turning on all their lights and appliances in protest. Just like conservatives abandoned the environment because they think it’s only for lefties, they’re also going to fight against healthy eating and obesity campaign just out of spite. Republicans were forced to campaign against their own Healthcare reform ideas, simply because Obama endorsed them. It’s amazing how conservatives are so willing to campaign against their own interests.

At strawberry farms across southwest Florida, there’s an unusual sight. Workers aren’t picking strawberries, they’re destroying them.

“We’ve got more berries than we know what to do with,” said Matt Parke, a strawberry farmer.

Parke said that he was forced to tear through 60 acres, nearly half of his crop, to save his farm. He said that prices have dropped so much that it seems cheaper to let the fruit spoil than ship it to market.

Grayson told Local 6 he was in Washington D.C. prepping for the contentious health care reform vote when a female placed the call.

“My 5-year-old twins hit the speakerphone when the phone was ringing, and she said, among other things, ‘If you vote for healthcare, I’ll kill you,’” Grayson said, “and my 5-year-old went to my wife and said, ‘Mommy, there’s a lady on the phone who said she’s going to kill me.’”

Grayson said his son was upset, but seems OK now. Details of the incident have been turned over to Capitol police.

Yeah, Malkin was posting about that earlier too. It really has me thinking. This is a trend that has been going on for a very long time. I think one of conservatism’s main faults is they keep adopting positions that have nothing to do with conservative ideas. There’s no reason opposing evolution or global warming should be conservative ideas. I know they have rationalizations for it but it’s not really conservative. Same goes for childhood obesity, public schools, higher education, science and affordable healthcare. It’s insanity to oppose these things.

That might sound more like consumer protection than revolution, but in the context of US politics it is a famous victory.
