The difference is that Tonto survived the scrape he got into. “Ensign Ricky the Red Shirt” is only there to die suddenly so that Kirk, Spock and Bones can escape.

I do! They’re not turned up that loud. They’re over-ear closed Sennheiser HD Pros, I can keep them low because they shut out most outside noise.

I’m liking you more and more by the minute, you have pretty much got my tastes in genres exactly :D
Um let’s see, in terms of the really noisy hairraising stuff I’m listening to a lot of lately:
Electric Wizard
Yob
Thought Industry (Mods Carve the Pig especially)
Isis
Neurosis
Skinny Puppy
Mastodon (Skye is my favorite, but sometimes Remission must be blasted)
Nile
(I draw the line at the grindcore/metalcore stuff. Converge and such, it’s just not musical enough for me)

I am a big fan of Cradle Of Filth myself.
I am also a huge fan of Combichrist, Velvet Acid Christ, Switchblade Symphony and numerous others. I listen to a range of stuff from new-wave to metal, doom metal, Darkwave, Goth (such as Bauhaus and older stuff) and lots of stuff out of Europe such as Wumpscut, Gothminister, and Euro-metal.

I have Wumpscut on my ipod at the moment. :D Seen Switchblade live in uhhh…early 90’s? With Front Line Assembly. Good bands! I used to be SUCH a goth, more of the Fiends of the Nephilim/Cure/Sisters of Mercy/Siouxie variety. Really more of a metalhead at heart though.
The euro bands I like tend to either be dark prog bands like Katatonia, or in the spaced-out former-death/black Century Media stable, Tiamat, The Gathering, Samael… and Solefald! They’re just so weird and cool.

I like Deathstars, definitely like Frontline Assembly. Where abouts you at? You should check and see if Combichrist is ever gonna be around your area, highly recommend their live shows.
I’m also a big fan of Wednesday 13 (formerly The Murderdolls) and Type O Negative.

Switchblade Symphony anedote: the show was on halloween, and Tina Root had on a fetished-out Bo Peep outfit, and an inflatable sheep she carried on stage and sang with. it was genius :D

WEDNESDAY THIRTEEN RULES
also Type O is great. They’re one of those bands that over and over again keeps opening for bands I go see live. Queensryche, NIN, Danzig…and one more I saw them with I can’t remember. I’m glad Peter Steele got clean, he’s such a smart guy and it sounded like he was just killing himself with booze.
