Nazis Know Who to Blame for Global Warming, And It’s Not Al Gore

Weird • Views: 2,572

Were you wondering about the cause of climate change?

Is it CO2 emissions? Pollution? Cosmic rays? Or is it all a giant hoax perpetrated by tricksy scientists?

According to the neo-Nazis at Stormfront (who really loved Governor McDonnell’s “Confederate History Month,” by the way), you can blame the Jews.

Well, it's obviously the fault of us Jews for producing so many scientists. Oh, and it's our fault because we historically were often forced into being bankers and merchants because all other avenues were closed to us, so we have a history of being involved with finance.

Never mind that there are far more white bankers than Jewish bankers. Never mind that, contrary to what some believe, Godlman Sachs is not actually owned by Messieurs Goldman and Sachs but instead by shareholders, who, again, are overwhelmingly white.

Never mind that on the Forbes list of billionaires, exactly one of them is Jewish, and very few people think of him as Jewish.

[Link: en.wikipedia.org...]

Yes, we Jews secretly control everything, which is why I'm having to break my ass trying to finance a move to New York and deposit on a freakishly expensive apartment there.

Well, it's kind of unclear, but I think some of the Nazis are claiming that the Jewish scientists are making up climate change in order to profit on it. Those would be the brighter anti-Semites who can at least come up with a conspiracy theory that just makes them morons who don't understand science-- aside from still being Nazis.

Then you have the real cavemen, who somehow believe that Jews are orchestrating the death of billions because we're eebil. They believe we're actually causing global warming, to kill lots of people and then, I assume, RULE THE WORLD!

I wonder if any of these assholes realize that if the sea levels rise, much of the fresh water in Israel is going to be contaminated? Why the fuck would the Jews conspire to do something that would cause huge peril and pain for Israel, even if we were eebil monsters?

Here's some ObamaCare™ news to start the day...

CRS: Health Law May Allow Viagra Coverage for Sex Offenders

Jesus fucking christ....I can't believe anyone's stupid enough to write that let alone repeat it. There was a Republican amendment as part of their effort to scuttle the bill to explicitly prohibit the sale of Viagra to sex offenders. That would have sent the bill back to the house for another round, and was voted down. There is no law stating that viagra or other sexual aids may be given to sex offenders, and this bill certainly doesn't mandate it.

This bill does, however, allow ignorant people who think it's a government takeover of their freedoms to find affordable health insurance so that when they do get sick, they don't lose their homes paying medical bills, and thus have a place to stay while they complain about the bill being a government takeover of their freedoms.

Stupid fucks.

It would take another bill passed by Congress and signed into law.

I can't find the referenced Congressional Research Service opinion. It could be as innocuous as "if a physician prescribes it, then yes a sex offender could get it because there is no specific prohibition." That doesn't mean that the likelihood is much above zero, however.

Initial jobless claims increase unexpectedly

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The number of newly laid-off workers seeking unemployment benefits rose last week, a sign that jobs remain scarce even as the economy recovers.

The Labor Department said Thursday that first-time claims increased by 18,000 in the week ending April 3, to a seasonally adjusted 460,000. That's worse than economists' estimates of a drop to 435,000, according to a survey by Thomson Reuters.

The report covers the week that includes the Easter holiday, and a Labor Department analyst said seasonal adjustment for Easter can be difficult since the holiday occurs in different weeks each year.

California also closed its state offices for a holiday March 31, the analyst said, which likely held down the claims figures. On an unadjusted basis, claims rose by 6,500 to nearly 415,000.

Economists closely watch unemployment claims, which are seen as a gauge of layoffs and a measure of companies' willingness to hire new workers.

I really feel bad for the unemployed. I am blessed to have a job.

re: #84 tnguitarist

Gawande also has a great proposal for tort reform; change malpractice insurance into a transparent fund that pays out for damages. In other words, set an actual scale of damages-- like, failed to diagnose an injury before it became worse = $Y, sponge left in patient = $X, etc. Have patient advocates and doctors work together on it. Have an independent review board again composed of people from all sides review and rule on cases.

Currently, very few victims of malpractice actually even sue, and suing is mostly based on how doctors act, not on what they actually do-- it's attitudinal, not having to do with competence. This fund would allow anyone who suffered malpractice to be compensated without the hassle and emotions of a long trial.

And every doctor, no matter how amazingly skilled, will make mistakes. It is not an option to be an inhuman non-mistake-making robot. This would allow doctors to be open about their mistakes, to recognize and correct them, and it would allow people to be smarter consumers of health care-- malpractice suits against a doctor aren't very meaningful these days, but an accurate record of all mistakes he'd made and had to compensate for would be a good overview of the doctor's competence.

A little Merle Travis lyrics for the smoking diplomat (I know there's a video out there, but I can't do videos at work):

Now I'm a feller with a heart of gold,
And the ways of a gentleman, I've been told,
The kind of guy that wouldn't even harm a flea
But if me and a certain character met,
The guy that invented the cigarette,
I'd murder that sun of a gun in the first degree
Not 'cause I don't smoke myself,
And I don't reckon they'll harm your health
I've smoked all my life and I ain't dead yet
But nicotine slaves are all the same,
At a pettin' party or a poker game,
Everything must stop while they smoke that cigarette.

Smoke! Smoke! Smoke that cigarette!
Puff, Puff, Puff and if you smoke yourself to death
Tell Saint Peter at the Golden Gate
That you hate to make him wait
But you just got to have another cigarette.

Who says you can't bat 1.000? Remember the guy who said people should break windows and call over HCR? He lives on your dime...government assistance. One of those other nutters who drove around with his LeSabre full of anti-government materials was also on the dole.

So, it appears, was the asshole arrested for threatening to kill Nancy Pelosi.

The San Francisco man arrested Wednesday for allegedly threatening House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over her support for health care reform spent five years harassing a local church - until its custodian helped break the case involving Pelosi, the church's lawyer said.

Gregory Lee Giusti, 48, was arrested at noon at his Tenderloin apartment. A tall, hulking man who kept to himself, Giusti was not well known - or well liked - at the federally subsidized Marlton Manor where he has lived for more than a decade, said neighbor Rose Riggs.

"When he'd start with me about political stuff," she said, "I'd just back off."

And apparently, he didn't believe in paying his fares on Caltrain, either...

What if They Gave a Klan Rally and Nobody Came?
[Link: www.splcenter.org...]

They really ought to call them the Ku Klutz Klan.

This Saturday, the Church of the National Knights of the Ku Klux Klan — a once-powerful organization that in 1960 coordinated more than 1,000 simultaneous cross burnings in a frightening display of Southern resistance to desegregation — held a rally in Gloverdale, S.C. It was attended by a single Klansman: state leader Tim Bradley.

Not making an appearance were the 1,000 people from four states that a confederate of Bradley’s had predicted. A promised speech never materialized, only endless rounds of Bradley giving interviews to local reporters while some 100 curiosity-seekers looked on. And the 30 or so Klansmen who Bradley said were headed to the rally that day? Well, they got lost on the way from North Carolina. Bradley kept telling reporters his comrades were about to arrive. But they never did.

For those with small business... an object lesson why you need a daily back up procedure for your data.

I keep a free ad running on Craigslist for general computer services, small business programming, typical network and workstation stuff... the standard geek squad menu.

Six months ago, very big karate studio down in the Denver area called me. Can't find the data in their custom karate studio software. So, I go down there, find out that they have an ad-hoc network, sharing workstations instead of a real network/server set up.

One of their workstations had a "blip" and cracked a data table. This was a system table, with info in it directing the software as to where the live tables were (there were on another workstation). The karate management software automatically recreated this table, defaulted the location of the live tables to THAT WORKSTATION, since it found some TEST table on that workstation.

So, no they THINK they are talking to live tables, they are talking to old table, with a years worth of transactions missing.

I fixed it but couldn't merge the data that was now sitting in two different places, other complications. Bottom line I got them up and running, they hand entered from paper a years worth of work and I sent them a two page recommendation as to setting up a back up system and other procedures I thought they should consider to prevent this from happening again.

They didn't take a single recommendation to heart, I'm going back today, same thing happened again. Sure, I make a "C" note today, but that's not the point.

Learn a lesson from this.

If you've ever been royally thrashed at, say, bridge, you may recall how the feeling tried to sneak up on you that it wasn't luck, it wasn't skill, they were cheating.

Your rational half knew full well that they weren't. They were just running rings about you, the way you sometimes ran rings about less skilled pairs.

What is it like to be in Stormfront? You see the world going ways you don't like, and you can't work out why all your plans miscarry and other arguments prevail. And then it comes to you----somebody's pulling the strings behind the scene. Somebody who seems to get more of the accolades, more of the recognition, more of the wins, than is his fair share.

Not talking about Coach K here, or Steven Hawking, or Genghis Khan. In these guys' universe, they need some common denominator, and Jews combine a culture of appreciation for learning and thinking with a long history of scoring high on aptitude tests. If you're a stormfronter, you put aside the rational fraction of your brain that's telling you you've lost a competition fair and square, and you rage at those "cheaters. "

To make this fantasy mesh with the rest of your fantasy world, you have to discard the niggling thought that just maybe there's something to science. Nah, it's all just a conspiracy, and scientists are just gaming the grant system. This inverts reality, since actually it's Al Gore who's grown rich beyond the dreams of Croesus on grants and politically favored business deals, all the while never himself doing a lick of science or even troubling himself to get the main outlines of his own pet topic straight.

Obama is an 'amateur,' Ahmadinejad says
Reuters
Published: Thursday, April 08, 2010

Iran's president issued a scathing personal attack on Barack Obama yesterday, calling the U.S. President an "inexperienced amateur" who was quick to threaten to use nuclear weapons against U.S. enemies. Commenting on new U.S. policy restrictions on the use of atomic weapons that sent a stern message to nuclear-defiant Iran that it remained a potential target, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, pictured, said Iran would not yield to threats. "Obama made these latest remarks because he is inexperienced and an amateur politician," the hardline Iranian President said on television. "American politicians are like cowboys. Whenever they have legal shortcomings, their hands go to their guns."

Jesus fucking christ...I can't believe anyone's stupid enough to write that let alone repeat it.

The government can easily order the insurance companies to provide full coverage at a super-affordable price of $X per year. They can mandate ER waiting room times of ten minutes or less. They can instruct the tides to recede.

What the government cannot do is arrange that such insurance continues to be available after the company goes bankrupt, that the hospital ER stays open when it cannot cover its payroll out of the charges it's permitted to collect, and that the tides will recede when flogged.

The reality is that delivering good medical care requires the consumption of scarce resources: the labor of skilled technicians and surgeons, supplies and pharmaceuticals manufactured to exacting precision, and no small amount of conscientious attention to cleaning surfaces that if left to fester would become breeding grounds of super-bacteria.

Unless these scarce resources are put to efficient use, the real-world cost of medical care will rise sharply rather than fall. Governments don't have much of a track record at implementing efficiencies of production. Just watch the saga of GovernmentGM for the next example of this.

With rising real-world costs coupled to falling paper-world numbers, rationing by triage becomes inevitable. Rationing by "pull" becomes overwhelmingly probable. A few premium institutions, favored by the government and located conveniently in and around Washington D.C. and other centers of political gravity, will continue to offer quality medical care.

As to the rest of us, neither love nor money will buy is much in the way of real-world, effective medical care once this new bill has time to work its magic.

Except that nothing mandates that doctors have to take Medicaid or Medicare patients, or even any specific private insurance patients for that matter. Goodness. I'm no fan of teaching religious principles in school but the wording in the text does seem rather harsh and unnecessary. US Refuses Visas to all Israeli Nuclear Scientists

.... Ma'ariv reported today that the Israeli government was stunned when every nuclear technician at Israel's Dimona reactor who had submitted visa requests to visit the United States for ongoing university education in Physics, Chemistry and Nuclear Engineering had their visa applications summarily rejected, specifically because of their association with the Dimona reactor.

This is a new policy decision of the Obama administration. Up until now, it was routine for Israeli nuclear scientists and technicians to receive such visas and to study at US universities.[snip]eportedly the US has an unofficial embargo on selling anything to be used at the site.

Professor Zeev Alfasi, the head of Nuclear Engineering at Ben-Gurion University in the Negev stated that "the United States doesn't sell anything nuclear-related to the Dimona reactor, and that means absolutely nothing. Radiation detectors, for example have to be purchased now in France because the USA refuses to sell these to Israel."

Jefferson used "fable" rather than myth:

"And the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerve in the brain of Jupiter. But may we hope that the dawn of reason and freedom of thought in these United States will do away with this artificial scaffolding, and restore to us the primitive and genuine doctrines of this most venerated reformer of human errors.

Lebanese President: We'll Defend Hizbullah, We Won't Let It Be Harmed

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman told the Qatari daily Al-Watan i n an interview that the Lebanese would defend the resistance [i.e. Hizbullah] and that no one in Lebanon would permit it to be harmed in any way.

He added that the resistance is one of Lebanon's important defense capabilities, and that the Lebanese must use it to its benefit.

Saying that Israel must consider well whether it wants to launch new aggression against Lebanon, because this would be stupidity on its part, he noted that if it did, the Lebanese would participate alongside the resistance in defending their land.

Regarding his relations with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, Suleiman said that there was trust, friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect between them, and that they were in regular and ongoing contact.

Exactly.

Also, if someone is sensitive enough to creationism being called a myth that they want a book banned over it, they'd have the same reaction to it being called a belief. For that person, creationism is the Truth and should be treated as such, and the myth is everything else in the biology book.

Wars have been fought over who's myth is thought to be a fact.

Let's keep our science textbooks focused on the good subject of science, and leave theology out.

re: #220 Charles

It's our fault for interpreting the hebrew YWM linguistically rather than contextually.

Typically, YWM means "day", especially when used with a numerical (1st day, 2nd day, etc.)

However, it can also mean "age/epoch/era" - i.e. a longer period of time.

Linguistic studies led us to translate the Genesis myth/story (whatever) as "days", but contextually, we ought to look around the world for five seconds and think...hey, we don't believe God was a drooling idiot, so He probably meant "Epochs".

The Genesis myth is a lot more sensible if you substitute Epoch for day. Christians are doing this wrong.

You nailed it. It's amusing to trace the equation--even though the answer is always the same. See, the scientists are deceiving the world into believing that there is global warming, which will cause the passage of many laws which will impinge upon everyone's freedom and give unprecedented power to governments who are actually run by the international financiers who are the leaders of a conspiracy by the_______, to take over the world.

And if some scientist, who is a _______, invents a battery or a viable solar panel to stop the "so called" warming (it becomes 'so called' warming when the guy can't stop schvitzing in December), then it becomes a matter of the ______s inventing something that makes money to further infiltrate the world governments to take away freedom..........

Yep, that's the song, which are not played to chords used by Irving Berlin or George Gershwin.

re: #224 MandyManners

To me, the word "myth" implies a lie, a made-up bunch of hooey.

But, I won't argue this with you.

Wikipedia will help you understand the meaning of 'myth'...

The term "myth" is often used colloquially to refer to a false story; however, the academic use of the term generally does not pass judgment on its truth or falsity. In the study of folklore, a myth is a religious narrative explaining how the world and humankind came to be in their present form. Many scholars in other fields use the term "myth" in somewhat different ways. In a very broad sense, the word can refer to any traditional story.

Not just a lie...a religious narrative. And without judgement. No need to be defensive - your faith is your own, regardless of whether anyone else buys into the mythology (again, not a judgement).

Here's the original Ma'ariv story via the Google translator. It's a mess, but the gist claims that the US has somehow altered the visa policy to deny Israelis who worked at Dimona from coming to the US.

Via your link;

Prof. Alfasi added that "Americans want to know about each item of equipment and what it was for. They sell to universities, but those details are refusing to sell equipment for Nuclear Research Center. I do not know if Iran will sell what they refuse to sell us. "Nuclear Research Center declined to comment on things.

the google translator version is hard to understand, but that bit of snark came through loud and clear.

Personally, I think that entire line could have been left out. It was a gratuitous swipe at a religious belief and has no place in a science textbook.

Personally I think all references to creationism could have been left out of a biology book since creationism has exactly zero to do with biology.

Hamas: We will abduct Israelis over maltreatment of Palestinian prisoners

Hamas spokesperson in Gaza Sami Abu Zuhri warned Thursday that the militant party would seek to kidnap more Israelis if the international community continued to turn a blind eye to the maltreatment of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli prisons, Israel Radio reported.

Zuhri said that the world was only interested in the conditions in which the captured Israel Defense Forces soldier Gilad Shalit was being held, and ignored the suffering of the Palestinians serving prison sentences in Israel, adding that if the situation did not change they would have to find "new friends" for Shalit.

Earlier, Gaza militants opened fire at an Israel Defense Forces unit patrolling near the border with Israel, Army Radio reported.

The IDF patrol was reportedly hit by at least three mortar bombs, as well as two RPG anti-tank projectiles during a routine operation near Kibbutz Kissufim in the western Negev. No injuries were reported.

Critics, who said the play was blasphemous, caused such a stir that the university became concerned for the well-being of those in attendance. First, they blocked access to the show by making it invitation only and then canceled the production outright just hours before it was to debut.

Otte said he is a gay Christian and chose the play to help other gay youths who may be struggling with their faith.

The Play's Synopsis:
Corpus Christi (part Auto-Biography, part Passion Play) is the story of Joshua, a young gay man, born in Corpus Christi, Texas, who grows up, falls in love, gains 12 followers, and is utimately persecuted for being just as radical with his message of love and self-divinity as another man from Nazareth was nearly 2,000 years earlier. It is highly controversial due to its depiction of Christ and the Apostles as gay men living in modern day Texas. It contrasts modern devices like television with anachronisms like Roman occupation. This Judas betrays Jesus (in this version known as Joshua) because of sexual jealousy.

Did people throw a fit over "Life of Brian"?

Yes! I was in the ninth grade, and going to Grace Baptist High School in Redding, California (I always let those fucks get credit for their idiocy). I went to see "Life of Brian" with my brother, only to find most of my classmates, teachers, and the school principal and pastor protesting the film out in front of the theatre(this is rural Northern California). When they saw me, they said, "Hey, you're here to join the protest! That's great!" I said, "No, I'm here to see the movie. I love Monty Python."

Needless to say, I got several detentions (and swats - corporal punishment) the following week for various minor infractions, like responding to another student who talked to me in class, but didn't actually get in trouble herself.

Kyrgyzstan President Bakiyev refuses to resign

[Link: news.bbc.co.uk...]

Contained in the lower article half:

"Kyrgyzstan is a strategically important central Asian state and houses a Russian base and a key US military base that supplies forces in Afghanistan.

The US says there are "limited operations" at its Manas base but support for its forces in Afghanistan "has not been seriously affected".

Ms Otunbayeva said the "status quo would remain" regarding the bases but that some questions had to be considered.

Later another opposition leader, Omurbek Tekebayev told Reuters that Russia had "played its role in ousting Bakiyev" and that there was a "high probability that the duration of the US air base's presence in Kyrgyzstan will be shortened." "

Putin.... what are you up too now?
