Orly’s New Line of Attack: Have Obama Prosecuted for War Crimes

Wingnuts • Views: 3,031

Speaking of Birthers, leading Birther bird-brain Orly Taitz has a new plan to bring down our seekrit Moslem alien President — she’s going to have him prosecuted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes.

US is not a signatory to ICC, however Kenya is. According to members of the Kenyan parliament Obama was born in Kenya, he is a citizen of Kenya, and can be prosecuted by the International Criminal Court in Hague, where I am licensed. No matter what happens in US now, this license cannot be withdrawn and I can proceed. I need help with research.

Seriously, what the heck is this other than trying to play from the same nonsensical playbook that the left did with President Bush (arguing then that Bush was a war criminal). Now, Orly is pushing that President Obama is a war criminal for acts in Afghanistan for continuing a war against al Qaeda and the Taliban begun with President Bush. What kind of asshattery is this?

He’s the President damnit. Show some damned loyalty to *this* country and quit with trying to score a couple of political points that actually undermine the President’s (as in the office - not just the person occupying it) authority and command.

Eco-terrorists ‘plot to blow up IBM headquarters’ thwarted in routine traffic stop

The three members – two men and a woman – of the Italian terrorist group Il Silvestre were stopped just a few miles from their target with their explosive device primed and ready to go.

Italians Costantino Ragusa and Silvia Guerini, together with Italian-Swiss Luca Bernasconi, were arrested and jailed after a search of their vehicle revealed the bomb.

Guerini and Constantino – the 33-year-old leader of Il Silvestre - already have convictions for eco-terrorism offences and have served jail terms.

The group describes itself as anarchist and is opposed to all forms of micro-technology as well as nuclear power and weapons.

From wiki:

In March of 2010, Taitz successfully qualified to run for the office of California Secretary of State. At the same time, she challenged the eligibility of her Republican Party primary opponent, former NFL player Damon Dunn, claiming that he is a registered Democrat and therefore ineligible to run on the Republican ballot.

I don’t think she’s trying score political points. I honestly thing that in her heart of hearts she’s believes that he is a usurper and a sekrit muslim that’s part of conspiracy to bring down the US. To her there is no question about this. She also believes that most every one and everything is against this being shown and in her mind has taken on the lone ‘hero martyr’ role. She’s saving the world so to speak and will find any way no matter how stupid and idiotic to keep fighting for ‘truth’ blah blah blah.

There’s nothing wrong with a law school not being accredited with the ABA. That said, I have a friend who graduated from such a school in Northern California and from what she tells me, the lack of accreditation means (in her experience) that it’s harder to find work but not impossible. Yet, the school (Empire School of Law) has a law library, all staff are practicing attorneys, and internships are available.

Speaking of Women of the Wingnuts:

Dunbar Takes New Trip on Extremism Train

Good grief. Cynthia Dunbar has demonstrated once again the kind of religious and political extremism that currently dominates the Texas State Board of Education — and the reason academic experts and classroom teachers should be guiding the process of revising curriculum standards for public schools, not politicians with personal agendas.

Speaking last week on a far-right talk show, The American View, (read more about the show here) Dunbar — a Richmond Republican representing a state board district that stretches from west of Houston to Austin — attacked public education and even the religious faith of people who don’t agree with her. She also repeated her infamous attack on President Obama as a terrorist sympathizer. And as the state board prepares to take a final vote next month on social studies curriculum standards for public schools, Dunbar suggested that supporters of separation of church and state don’t understand the Constitution and that the drafters of the First Amendment had no concerns “whatsoever” for the nonreligious.

[…]

Dunbar also suggested that the First Amendment does not prevent government from promoting religion.

I think Code Pink takes Code Pink seriously, but the organization gains publicity being an all-woman outfit that resonates with the left-wing elements (and our otherwise clueless local and national media).Their recent attachment to International ANSWER and adoption of the BDS movement against Israel, IMO, is designed to give them more air time in a left-wing universe where there are literally dozens of splinter groups with much cross-over.

re: #181 Alouette

It’s more than just “some murmurs”

This isn’t just a bunch of old sixty-year-old post-menopausal women who are making up figures, they’re on to something. The actual military spending is staggering. The Obama defense budget for 2011 is $663.7 Bbllion dollars, which is almost 42% of all worldwide defense spending. This does not include the war supplemental spending that will also come up for a vote. The two next biggest spenders? China comes in at 5.8% of the worldwide budget and France at 4.5%.

I’ve always been one to eye-glaze-over when it comes to defense spending. Whatever they need, give them; we need a strong defense and most of the money is going to US folks. The numbers for the last 6 or so years are pretty staggering though. It does make we want to see, y’know a breakdown. Can we pretty please publish a spreadsheet that shows the line items on that $500,000,000,000 you’re spending?

Yeah a tad hypocritical. I suppose if people are paying attention then that’s a good thing, no matter how it comes about.

The 2010 budget contains $695 billion for social security, $571 billion for unemployment benefits, $453 billion for medicare, $290 billion for medicaid, etc. We probably account for half of worldwide social spending, as well.

The Weekly Standard has a new take on lifties, apparently the problem is their grades in school were too high. To me, it sounds like another anti intellectual rant. If not, encourage your kids to go for lower grades to be successful.

“America has made the mistake of letting the A student run things. It was A students who briefly took over the business world during the period of derivatives, credit swaps, and collateralized debt obligations. We’re still reeling from the effects. This is why good businessmen have always adhered to the maxim: “A students work for B students.” Or, as a businessman friend of mine put it, “B students work for C students—A students teach.”

“A” students.

Another waste of time by pseudo-gonzo journalist P.J. O’Rourke. I always found him boring. What’s up with this rant?

It was a bunch of A students at the Defense Department who planned the syllabus for the Iraq war, and to hell with what happened to the Iraqi Class of ’03 after they’d graduated from Shock and Awe.

Let’s see. General Petraeus was the A-student general that got us out of that hole. O’Rourke himself got his masters from Johns Hopkins and was a Woodrow Wilson fellow.

Anyone care to check the GPA of William F. Buckley? Admiral Chester Nimitz? Buzz Aldrin? The attorneys that represented the White House in Bush vs. Gore weren’t B or C students in college and university.

Code Pink.
They’ve been in the news a lot but are seldom identified as anything more than “antiwar activists”:

* January 20, 2005: Code Pink protesters infiltrated President G.W. Bush’s second inaugural address, unfurling banners and heckling the president during his speech.[10] The group reportedly received VIP passes from unidentified members of Congress, and were eventually escorted out of the area by police.[11]

* September 21, 2006: Code Pink staged a peace march that blocked traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge. Code Pink received permits allowing them to march after the morning commute hours at 10:00am. Instead, the group began an illegal walk toward the center of the span at 7:30am. They left by 10:00am with no injuries or accidents reported.[12]

* March 20, 2007: a Code Pink protester interrupted a Hillary Rodham Clinton fundraiser in Washington DC and was removed by security.[13] This was one of a series of Code Pink protests against Senator Clinton; a week later, five Code Pink members confronted her at the legislative-political conference of the Communications Workers of America.[14]

* March 22, 2007: several Code Pink protestors were arrested outside the office of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi after announcing their intent to take over her office. Code Pink was protesting that the majority Democratic Party had not stopped war funding.[15]

* September 10, 2007: Code Pink attended General David Petraeus’ Congressional testimony. Petraeus testified that security objectives in Iraq were largely being met and that a long-term effort there was needed. Members of Code Pink protested, interrupting the general’s testimony and were subsequently removed. Committee Chairman Ike Skelton (D-MO) banged his gavel, attempted to restore order, and informed the protesters of possible legal ramifications of their actions.[16]

* September 2007 onward: Code Pink began holding weekly counter-recruitment protests in front of the United States Marine Corps Officer Selection Office located in Berkeley, California.[17][18] These protests escalated into the broader Berkeley Marine Corps Recruiting Center controversy.

* October 24, 2007: Desiree Ali-Fairooz approached Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice with red paint on her hands and shouted “The blood of millions of Iraqis is on your hands!” She was immediately arrested.[19]

* September 4, 2008: At the 2008 Republican National Convention, a Code Pink activist attempted to confront nominee John McCain onstage while he was giving his acceptance speech. Secret Service stopped the activist before she reached the stage.[20]

* December 12, 2008: Code Pink announced its plans to invest in Iranian wind energy in hopes “to defy sanctions and build peaceful relations” with the government of Iran.[21]

* June 3, 2009: Code Pink flew a banner that said “End the siege of Gaza” at President Obama’s Muslim-outreach speech at Cairo University.[22]

* December 31, 2009: Code Pink is one of the organizers of the historic Gaza Freedom March on December 31, 2009 which will bring over 1,300 people from more than 43 countries to join the Palestinians of Gaza in a non-violent, mass march to the Israeli border.[23]

Their iconic stunt, though, was bringing a pink papier-mache tank to an antiwar rally soon after their founding.

I’ll have to disagree with you on that one. They are a common group at any given anti-war rally that I’ve been too (since 2007) here in the SF Bay Area. They honor the standard anti-war rhetoric and are now part of the greater anti-Israel movement that promotes boycott/divestment/sanctions.

Technology…

No one shapes nature the way we do. We take atoms and molecules, and by the time we’re finished with them, they’re everything from combat boots to bombs, the kind of bombs no one from the other side will ever see until the damn thing’s plowing down their chimney like Santa Claus from hell!

Yeah. Well, someone’s going to have the technology. I’m sure as hell glad it’s my team. Manhattan Project didn’t do anything but make sure it was us that had the bomb instead of the other team. If anyone can bust bunkers, shoot around walls, or pick people off with an unmanned plane, I’m glad it’s us.

I would never suggest that they were not mainstream within the anti-war movement, merely that their influence outside it was and is pretty much nil.

Yet Medea is getting quoted in major news sources, albeit not too often. Here’s the thing that gets me crazy, given how anti-semitism is becoming a staple at anti-war rallies in SF, perhaps Code Pink could serve as a neutral zone for the less racist but still rabidly anti-war folk. Maybe i am thinking too much.

The latest stupidity from Matt Drudge:

OBAMA PLAYS RACE CARD: RALLIES BLACKS, LATINOS FOR ‘10 UPSET

Which is in reference to this Politico article: Obama seeks to ‘reconnect…young people, African-Americans, Latinos, and women’ for 2010.

So reality has become a “race card?” Last time I checked the GOP makes no effort to even connect with young people, African-Americans, Latinos, and [some] women.

Here’s a reality. The frequent use of the race card meme is in fact a race card.

Had Code Pink remained just another anti-war group, I wouldn’t even give a rat’s turd about them but they’ve gained special interest from me regarding their recent hobnobbing with anti-Israel groups.

Same here. I wouldn’t be aware of them any longer, except for the Israel angle. So I read up on their activities.

We have officially reached the “Bush = RINO” stage:

Beck calls Bush a ‘progressive,’ says Obama is doing ‘exactly’ the same thing

The tea party movement is staunchly opposed to big government and deficits, but right-wing activists and their supporters have been unable to explain away the fact that former President Bush, not their nemesis President Obama, is responsible for the majority of the current deficit, not to mention the greatly expanded size of the federal government. Fox News host Glenn Beck offered a convenient explanation on his radio show today — Bush is a “progressive,” just like Obama:

BECK: What has [Obama] done that is different? I think he’s done exactly what George Bush was doing, except to the times of a thousand. I mean we’re talking about a progressive. And George Bush was a progressive. It’s the difference between a steam train and the space shuttle.

Hamas video mocks Israel’s efforts to secure soldier release

TEL AVIV – Psychological warfare is shaping up to be a vital component of Hamas fight against Israel.

In an effort to increase pressure on Israel to agree to a prisoner swap in return for the freedom of Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier who has been held by Hamas since his capture in 2006, the militant group released an animated video on Sunday.

The video depicts the aging of Noam Shalit, Gilad’s father, as Israeli politicians continue to promise his son’s return.

In the three-minute video, Noam Shalit is shown mournfully holding a framed picture of his son as he walks down a deserted street lined with political billboards.

Beck is a televangelist. The rhetoric, the style, the sermonising, the calls to arms mixed with articles of faith - it’s clear what the attraction to his audience is. And like all televangelists, what he actually says isn’t important. The audience is familiar with all the basic tenets of the religion - Obama is a tyrant, libs/progs are the enemy, America is under attack, and so forth - so what they’re really looking for is a reinforcement of those beliefs, an appeal to their emotions, and the feeling like they ‘learned’ something. Glenn could directly contradict something he says in one show with something he says in the next show and as long as it didn’t contradict a basic tenet of the cult, nobody would notice. And if any did notice, none of them would care.

The thing is, anyone can get a bunch of buddies to write flattering customer feedback. I check the non-flattering feedback as a better gauge. If most of the complaints consist of “It did not arrive the exact second he/she said it would”, I ignore it as pointless bitching.

However if most of the complaints consist of “I payed $150 for the Nintendo DS he/she was selling, and the son of a bitch sent me a $10 calculator”, or similar indications of a dishonest seller, then I take heed.

Not sure if this was posted before:

David Duke defends the Tea Parties from charges of racism: Why, they’re just like him.

Dr. David Duke, former Klan leader, is here to explain it all for you in his new YouTube message:

Duke: …Tea Party people are called racist because the vast majority wants to stop the massive non-European immigration that will turn America into a crumbling tower of Babel. Most Tea Partiers believe that we in America have the right to preserve our heritage, language, and culture, just as every nation has that human right. The vast majority of Tea Party activists oppose affirmative action and diversity, which are nothing more than programs of racist discrimination against white people. The vast majority of Tea Party enthusiasts despise Hollywood and the mass media…

The crank nationalists in those places are probably doing better than their Polish, Romanian, and East German counterparts were in, say, 1970. Puerto Ricans vote on independence from time to time. Yes, that’s true. But you never get a second chance to screw up a first impression, and we’ve been so actively searching for people with the right qualifications (going on five or six weeks now that I’ve been actively involved on a daily basis) that our tolerance for screwing up is pretty thin.

So get her on Fox news, get that all stirred up and then come election time Democrats can seriously pulverize them with it. K,,

So Battery Plus wants $40 for a new cell phone battery for my wifes phone

Found one online through Amazon @ “Wireless Umlimited” for $3.15 plus $5 for shipping

Thoughts !?!?

I found a NIB battery for an old cell phone online for 4.98 with free shipping, in the stores they wanted $28.00+ for it, while I was there I got a spare charger for $3.75 again with free shipping.

E-bay and Amazon rule!

I also buy all my cabling online, a 10’ RGB cable with gold plated contacts can cost $50.00-70.00 even at Best Buy. Online you can buy it for less than $10.00, and don’t even get me started on what the charge in the stores for HDMI cables…

They sell DVD players for $29.00 and then have the balls to charge you twice that for the cable to connect it with, seemingly even in the “big box” stores like Comp USA and Best Buy they always mark that shit up by at least 300%.

Buy all your “accessories” online, it is the only way to pay a fair price for them.

A husband, on his deathbed asks his wife to put all the money and valuables on the cellar so he can picked them up on his way to Heaven. Sometime later, he dies.

About a month after the husband dies, the widow is cleaning the house, and decides to clean the cellar. Upon opening the cellar, she sees her husband’s money and valuables still in the same place, to which she said out loud: “Geez, I told him this should have gone to the basement. He wasn’t going up on his death.”

Uhh…that made absolutely no sense in english. I think perhaps he should have asked his wife to put his valuables in the “Attic” (the space between the ceiling and the roof).

The “cellar” is the same thing as the “basement” in American parlance.
