Neither list comes up, though the triangle does flip down.

I was hired in as a part time cashier… that’s a for sure 20 hour week… but, the company gives you MORE hours based on your “speed and efficiency” in cashiering… so, as my scores have gone up (cash register keeps track of how well you are doing), I earn more hours, which the managers can give me so they get more coverage during peak hours…
Problem is, I’m happy with 20 hours… I had 36 this week that’s closing and next week I get 33… and with the summer coming on, there will me more hours…
I’m not complaining as such, it’s my own fault, I’m doing a much better job than some of their more seasoned employees…

Tested with both Firefox v3.6.3 and IE8. Problem persists on both.
I had the same problem. Login button greyed out on the main page. I used the LGF bookmarket to force a different login window and it worked. Just passing it along.

OT: Anyone figure out yet who was responsible for ordering the tugs and fireboats to “fight the fire” right up to the point of flooding and sinking the Deep Horizon platform?
You do realize that if they hadn’t filled the rigs twin floats up with water and sunk it causing the riser to twist and snap on the way down that this spill would have been stopped weeks ago, right?
By capping it above water, not fucking around with it under more than 5,000’ of water…

I watched the very entertaining Hawks-Flyers Stanley Cup game instead of the Lakers-Suns game. I don’t really care who wins the Cup this year, I like both teams and think both would be worthy Champions. And both those cities have waited a long time to hoist the Cup.
That is the greatest trophy in Sports. There isn’t even a close second IMNSHO.

Yep. I use it alot for a number of reasons, but it’s here that it causes the most trouble. I end up having to log out and in rather more often than I might otherwise because I choose to keep using that package. If you want it, you get a) issues and if you don’t you get b) issues. You makes your choices and you pay’s your dues… It’s rather like oil companies. There are none without sin, so you have to decide who get’s your money and etc… I chose to go with Exxon/Mobile. There’s nothing particularily good about them or thier corporate policies but they aren’t inherently evil either… But hey, there’s a good happy face when my friends are on Water street…

Israel stations nuclear missile subs off Iran
Three German-built Israeli submarines equipped with nuclear cruise missiles are to be deployed in the Gulf near the Iranian coastline.The first has been sent in response to Israeli fears that ballistic missiles developed by Iran, Syria and Hezbollah, a political and military organisation in Lebanon, could hit sites in Israel, including air bases and missile launchers.
The submarines of Flotilla 7 — Dolphin, Tekuma and Leviathan — have visited the Gulf before. But the decision has now been taken to ensure a permanent presence of at least one of the vessels.
The flotilla’s commander, identified only as “Colonel O”, told an Israeli newspaper: “We are an underwater assault force. We’re operating deep and far, very far, from our borders.”
Each of the submarines has a crew of 35 to 50, commanded by a colonel capable of launching a nuclear cruise missile.
The vessels can remain at sea for about 50 days and stay submerged up to 1,150ft below the surface for at least a week. Some of the cruise missiles are equipped with the most advanced nuclear warheads in the Israeli arsenal.
The deployment is designed to act as a deterrent, gather intelligence and potentially to land Mossad agents. “We’re a solid base for collecting sensitive information, as we can stay for a long time in one place,” said a flotilla officer.
The submarines could be used if Iran continues its programme to produce a nuclear bomb. “The 1,500km range of the submarines’ cruise missiles can reach any target in Iran,” said a navy officer.

Back in the bad old days of Windows 3.1 then Windows 95 and even Windows 98 although always less often your computer would get so completely screwy after a while that your only option was to format the hard drive (wipe it clean) and start over by loading everything from scratch.
It really was a fact of life back then, not so much now though, well, unless you really manage to mess things up listening to the people here maybe. ;)

They are preparing to cut of the riser at the Lower Marine Riser Package which is above the BOPs. They wouldn’t want to cut off the BOP because it is partially shut and holding back a great deal of oil and gas.

They’re honoring the fallen in Afghanistan and Iraq while Sheriff Joe blow is blowing his big mouth making jokes about basketball and the president.

Yep, I only watch Fox news and only between the hours of five and nine because they are the only ones who consistently re-enforce my confirmation bias (delusions) on a daily basis.
Watching anything else or reading any other websites besides “FoxNation” might require me to question my beliefs!

About the only two sites I avoid is MSNBC and ABC. This is for my own oddball reasons. I don’t like MSNBC’s layout and their java script sucks. Plus their articles are about two sentences. ABC is like a gossip magazine. CBS has actually been the best of late for real news. Pure news as I said before without the goofy commentary.

But the dark side of unfettered “Individual liberty” is quite dark as Rand proved when he tested the waters a bit last week with his “I don’t believe in State racism, but if private property owners want to be racist we should ignore it” schitck.
Idealism is all fine and dandy, but it has to actually work in the real world to be made workable policy.

I tend to think embedding is sorta screwy because it removes the reporter as an objective observer and makes them part of the “team”, this goes for terrorist embedding or US Army embedding.
but basically it sounds like you DO want CNN to be propaganda, just as long as it’s our propaganda.
Terrorists killing soldiers is actually news, and yeah I could do without the footage of it, but that’s the way of the world. Everything has footage. Everyone has a camera. But most importantly, I don’t want a news organization making judgments about what they should and should not report based on whose side could make better use of the footage.

A Paul is a loon is a loon. I just liked the observation that some of our current policies are pretty crazy as well, but they just came to be accepted. I know most lizards are not with me on the Iraq war, but the war on drugs and farm subsidies are very good examples of bipartisan craziness that most people can agree with. I think.

I had the same problem. Login button greyed out on the main page. I used the LGF bookmarket to force a different login window and it worked. Just passing it along.
Still having major problems. Login button grey, can’t vote on primary posts by Charles as the vote buttons do not appear and the retweet button doesn’t appear. Getting past the login problems using the LGF bookmarklet login but yea… still something wonky here.
