For the record, because I half expect the American Spectator to ignore it, here’s the email I just wrote to the editor:

Dear Editor,

As you may or may not be aware, one of your contributors, Robert Stacy McCain, posted several comments on Twitter today, referring to Mexicans as “beaners,” British people as “faggots,” and Germans as “Kraut swine.” Do you have any comment on this? Is this the kind of image you want your publication to present?

The details are in this post, quoting directly from Mr. McCain’s Twitter feed:

I’ll be happy to post your response at my blog. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Charles Johnson

 Frank says:

Ever try to have a conversation with someone on drugs? It just doesn't work... -- Sometime during the summer of 1987, when asked by a DC reporter, "what are your feelings on the war on drugs?" His first response was to criticize the inherent invasion of privacy, followed by the above statement against drug use.
