Repost so you all can be jealous:

OK I have to go. My beloved just called. She’s coming over and I need to start dinner.

Tonight’s menu:

Seared lamb with a rosemary and thyme sauce - with lemon, lavender, shallott and black pepper. The sauce is basically caramelized shallots with a beef stock, burgundy and mushrooms, thickened by a rue made from the lamb drippings.

Asparagus

Wild rice - I have some nice long grain rice that mixes well with Jasmine rice (I’m skimping on that part, but I don’t feel like making noodles or potatoes)

G20 Toronto Riot Anarchy

Another BaguaPage exclusive on LGF.

Scenes from a variety of videos showing the Police and demonstrators in the lead up to rioting, the burning of a Police car and the destruction of store fronts as the anarchists run wild.

The drumming of the protesters is contrasted with Police drumming as the two tribes prepare to clash in downtown Tornonto.

I see what you mean, it’s a racial slur in the intertoobs.

Apparently it’s another poster on his blog named Smitty who claims it means he is RSM’s sidekick.

On the subject of silly nicknames.

He admits denies it’s a racial slur in the post I linked to.

There is also the bit that the term veers quite close to a racial slur. Having served several years in the military, I’m about as un-racially biased as anyone.

I’m not understanding why serving in the military means he’s not racially biased.
That doesn’t make a lick of sense.

It’s like saying “some of my best friends are such and such, how could I be racist?”

His assistant is using a blatantly racist nick on a political blog. Ok, I didn’t know what the term meant, but then I don’t associate with people like that. Of course I’d google a nick I used and I could go on for pages about the meaning of the nic I chose.

Here’s the recipe I found and tried last night. It does taste a lot like Noodles & Co’s noodles. I use pasta penne, though, mostly because that’s what I had. And I had to do some other substitutions, because it was already six. But it came out just fine.
