That was brilliant. It was really everything that needs to be said on the matter. The only thing I would add is that alternative energy sources do exist. They can be deployed. They would be profitable.

We can fix this. It is not for lack of technology or lack of capital. We can make money fixing it. We gain better security fixing it. We however, are held hostage by the fossil fuel corporations and their pet politicians.

Nuclear, wind, solar, smart grids and high energy density batteries.

We have all of these things. They will work.

Great. And the end is great, too.

Call your senator. Call them and let them know that you want the truth about AGW represented, and you want action taken. That the US should be the world leader on renewable energy.

Politicians will not act on this unless we force them. It's up to us.

I liked this panel the most, because of way you in particular get labeled as telling doom and gloom children's fables.

I like it because I feel it's the most effective argument: This is about our children, and our grandchildren. We can't fail them.

Only these are no fables. Cause and effect is a bitch. I liked the one about Mother Nature doesn't negotiate.

I would phrase it as, the equations of physics have no parameter for mercy.

We are doing it right now. However, for people under 50, they will see very bad effects of AGW in a business as usual scenario, here in America, in their lifetimes.

Well done.

I need to get that book.

I just made a call to my senator. It felt futile, but it's something.

wonder what the deniers will say about this nice little presentation...maybe they will rebutt with something like this of their own?

Sorry to be so OT so early, But Sarah Palin calls on Obama to "refudiate" the NAACP. As I said in my own thread, she's the git that keeps on giving.

Good point, the Republican healthcare reform plan was hilarious.

I certainly don't want to hijack this thread. I just wanted to pass the link along. I know the crowd with enjoy it. Please return to your regularly scheduled programming. Now I'll have a chance to look at the AGW graphic.

You don't have to hijack this one. You got the hat-tip on the next one.

Wow! Cool! Thanks Charles!

And I just got done reading the graphic representation of the climate battle and have already posted it on my FB page. Very well done.

It looks just like LVQ.

"The Fight to Save the Earth"

Good grief. Why stop at that paltry objective, why not go after "The Forces of Evil."

"Save the Earth"
Sounds like something a religious nutjob would advocate.

Please educate yourself. The threat of global climate change is real, and the language is appropriate.
