While everyone has been focused on Shirley Sherrod and Sarah Palin’s self-refudiation (including me), the proposed energy bill that included a cap on carbon emissions was abandoned by Senate Democrats. Without some Republican support, the Democrats could not prevent a GOP filibuster.

Andrew Revkin says some of the blame for the failure to address climate change has to lie with the President: With No Obama Push, Senate Punts on Climate.
