Geller Still Using Gingrich’s Name in Promos

Wingnuts • Views: 3,560

Since Newt Gingrich announced very clearly yesterday that he isn’t going to be a guest of honor at the Bigot Brigade’s anti-Muslim rally on September 11, either in person or on video, shouldn’t Pamela Geller remove his name from the promotional articles still posted prominently on the SIOA front page? SIOA Condemns Obama’s Blessing of Ground Zero Mega-Mosque; Bolton, Wilders, Gingrich to Speak At 9/11 Rally.

The Geller-thing’s website currently features a tasteful Photoshop image of our right wing heroine being persecuted by Nancy Pelosi in Gestapo garb (kinda right wing kinky!), but no mention at all that Newt Gingrich bailed out of her demonstration like a pilot ejecting from a crashing fighter jet. Instead, with her usual class and standards of professionalism, Geller quietly dropped his name from her most recent post, but left it prominently displayed in all the older ones.

Like we should be surprised that they lie and have no shame.

Newt is probably secretly proud of her >

Going back and editing the old ones is more work than she can be bothered with.

She should have a staffer or intern do it. I'm sure she has plenty of those.

Nah. Newt has much better tactical sense than Geller. He likely thinks her a fool (Which she is).

There's also a new protest being planned to show the movie El Cid at ground zero (which will somehow stop the mosque).

Left unsaid will be the fact that El Cid was a mercenary who fought for both Muslim and Christian kings. Of course one must be careful telling that to a wingnut. It's liable to make their head explode, so you need to stand back and use a megaphone to tell them from a safe distance.

Hey, there's an idea. Maybe instead of putting up another dull, boring skyscraper, we should make Ground Zero a drive-in movie theater. What could be more iconic? The world's largest drive-in, with THX sound piped into every vehicle via Bluetooth.

Being able and willing to edit old posts makes the difference between pros and wanna-be's. Guess Geller can't be bothered to take things to the next level.

They'd probably also be unhappy to know that the origin of the word Cid is form the Arabic sidi, which itself is a shortened form of the word sayyid.

The Spaniards really knew how to hold a grudge. You know the Mexican city Matamoros? It was named after Mariano Matamoros, and that surname literally means "kill Moors".

That was at Poitiers, in 732 AD. The battle Gates of Vienna refers to is the Second Siege of Vienna in 1682. The Siege ended with a reinforcing army lead by the king of Poland trapping the Turks against the city walls and slaughtering them. The long war that followed ended with the Ottomans being forced to sign the Treaty of Carlowitz in 1699, in which they relinquished their claims to most of Hungary.

Most yes, but not entirely. The Lakota and Cheyenne won the Battle of the Little Bighorn but were ultimately defeated. In contrast, the the Second Seige of Vienna was the high water mark for the Ottoman Empire. They never recoved the lands they lost in the subsequent war and from then on were in decline until the empire finally collapsed after being defeated in WWI.
