I’m sure this has absolutely nothing to do with the non-stop anti-Muslim hate speech pouring out of Fox News, right wing websites, talk radio and shrieking harpy Pamela Geller: Drunken man urinates on mosque floor.

A drunk barged into a Queens mosque last night and shouted anti-Muslim slurs as he urinated on prayer rugs, cops and witnesses said.

Evening prayers were disrupted at the Iman Mosque on Steinway Street in Astoria when the unhinged man “came in with a beer bottle in his hands, clearly very intoxicated,” said Mustapha Sadouki, who was attending services.

“He fumbled over to our rugs where people were praying” and then committed the despicable desecration, Sadouki said,

The man, identified by cops as Omar Rivera, also allegedly shouted slurs, calling the worshippers “terrorists.”

Two men managed to subdue him. They put him a back room and called 911.

He must be a leftist. Quick, somebody find out which party he’s registered with.

UPDATE at 8/26/10 12:43:10 pm:

TPM reports that the New York Post’s original story had some incorrect details; apparently the man didn’t shout “anti-Muslim” slurs, he was shouting insults at everyone: Drunk Man Arrested After Urinating In New York Mosque. The Post edited their story to remove mention of “anti-Muslim slurs,” but did not issue a correction.
