The Obama Administration: Fox News' Four Year Long Shark Week

The Obama administration has been like a prolonged Shark Week for the Fox News channel. American television networks feeds on the illusion of danger. There is only so much talent to go around, and most cable channels can't afford to pay for talent. What they can afford to do is tell you that you and your family are in mortal danger right before the commercial break.

This is why Discovery's Shark Week is their most highly rated week of the year. The Obama Administration has been a two year long Shark Week for Fox. He feeds on the fear of middle aged white people. Fox News has learned to concentrate that fear, cut it with baking soda and sell it back to them at a discounted price. And business is good.

And that my friends is why they let me have LGF up at the office where I work, and so get to lurk.

Thanks Charles!

I love the dealer-stepping-on-drugs metaphor. Too bad it's only cracked.com and not every friggin' other network saying this.

What are they gonna say? "Look at Fox News. They're taking our shtick and turning it up to eleven!"

Would be nice, though, if someone other than Jon Stewart called them (FNC) on their bullshit once in a while.

IT'S COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON!!

Oops, lost control there for a second. It may happen again...and James Blake is playing in the meantime while we await the first CFB games of the season. I'm going to miss Blake when he retires...that guy hits the ball like an eastern bloc drill sergeant..

Whats the limit on College Football and do we have to throw the undersized ones back?

I got my head phones to work through my USB sound blaster, but not the speakers. Guess my speakers don't work no more. Still, speakers are cheaper then a new sound card.

I think that the little ones get tossed as a natural by-product of the activity/

A LOT cheaper...unless you're shopping for wall-shakers. Some people are picky about their pc speakers...not me. Then again, i have a laptop.

Wait, wait, wait. They still sell soundcards? Do they bundle them with buggy whips?

The worst sin toward our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them; that's the essence of inhumanity - George Bernard Shaw

My Dell is from 2006.

I thought soundcards were integrated on the motherboard since before that.

I haven't heard of any casual PC users buying a soundcard since the early '90s.

i have an old pair or two that i haven't gotten around to throwing away yet...you want me to send them to you and you can see if they're good enough for your purposes before you go spend the money? they're just wasting drawer space here.

No fire truck, but the place across the street is for rent. If those guys are playing out there a lot, I'm moving in.
