Anderson Cooper on Renee Ellmers: ‘The Lowest Response I’ve Ever Heard’

Wingnuts • Views: 4,946

Anderson Cooper interviews fear mongering GOP candidate Renee Ellmers, who proceeds to be about as weasely and dim as a politician can possibly be.

Quote of the day from Cooper, after Ellmers accuses him of being “anti-Christian:” “That’s like the lowest response I’ve ever heard from a candidate.”

Teh Stoopid...it burns!!!

Just as I'm planning to do with Jack Conway and Chris Coons, I think I'll make a donation to Rep. Etheridge. We can't totally eliminate the stupid, the crazy, and the venal from Congress, but we can slow the increase.

Anti-bigoted stupid politcians? Definately

Interesting how 'Christian' and 'American' are being conflated as to mean the same exact thing. Identity politics straight out of Cromwell's England.

I can hardly wait for burnings at the stake and heads on pikes on the bridges over the Potomac.

A North Carolina candidate for federal promises will try to stop a New York project if elected?

What happened to states rights?

There's a Spanish saying that seems to apply to these situations--

"Que es mio, es mio. Que es suyo, es suyo y mio."

Translation--"What is mine, is mine. What is yours, is yours and mine."

"I get veto power over what you do. You have no right to interfere with what I'm doing."

I have to wonder what she thinks she could do about this if she is elected. I wish Cooper had asked her that. Building her campaign around a local issue from another state is a pretty good indication that this woman has nothing else to offer.

Its easier to get the pagan masses to celebrate the birth of your diety if you happen to celebrate it during their festival of the winter solstice.

(I really enjoy tweaking my fundie friends who oppose the kiddies collecting candy on Halloween by pointing out that All Hallows Eve was a celebration of the freeing of spirits from limbo by Christ while December 25th is a pagan winter solstice celebration.)

So two questions:

Some potential things I think might be of interest:

So what is entropy anyway, and basic thermodynamics...

Chaos theory...

Special relativity (a little more in depth)...

GR and black holes...

Christmas is about how Santa died for our gifts and rose from the dead and ascended to the North Pole and because of that, every year Santa comes down to forgive us our sins and give us eternal presents.

I thought Santa was the 4th wise man who got lost and followed the North Star accidently and was cursed by God to wander the Earth every December 25 until the new messiah is born. Over time Santa decided to play it safe and just give every child presents to make sure he didn't miss him a second time.

Your analysis of the Ekpyrotic model of the Universe. The comparative weakness of gravity to the other three forces, closed string gravitons leaking into other "branes," etc. Also, QCD and what color superconductivity actually means, what are the consequences in terms of color confinement and asymptotic freedom. An explanation of virtual particles and their role in Hawking radiation.

You know, the basics.
