Pamela Geller’s ‘Overshelming Prediclictions’

Wingnuts • Views: 5,656

Pamela “Shrieking Harpy” Geller is throwing a major tantrum tonight, because the media just refuses to acknowledge her genius. She gives them interviews and what do they do? They paint her as a raving bigoted loon! The nerve!

So the harpy strikes back! She will deprive them of her presence and her truth! Ha! That’ll show those dhimmis! She’s on to them and their overshelming terribleness and prediclictions.

The alphabets stayed out of it for as long as they could without looking competely out of touch. And when they finally  weighed in, the heavyweights 60 minutes, shilled for Islamic supremacists and consequently came under enormous fire from the Americna people, the blogs, and talk radio.

But Friday night’s 20/20 was a turning point. They found their card, the dawah card. The media is going to proselytize for Islam. Dhimm Sawyers show on Islam was a horrible lie. Overshelming terrible. I don’t imagine CAIR would have dared to write such a fallacious and dangerous script filled with obvious lies. ABC followed up the propaganda hour with Sunday morning’s with the notorious stealth jihadist, Christiane Amanpour, whose obvious Jew hatred and predicliction to submision has become the hallmark of her embarassing career. She did not disappoint. Amanpour framed and packaged this hot button issue for al jazeera audiences not American. BTW, America isn’t buying - Amanpour is bombing, dead last. A very great sign of these to come.

But it is a gamechanger. The media is now working on preaching Islam, spreading the historically inaccurate whitewash of Islam. That is how they are using their considerable power to disarm the American people against a mortal enemy that seeks our destruction. That is the role media has chosen. No accident this. As in, why are we fighting?  Beware America.

Well her slam of Diane Sawyer was just sick and hateful. She ever managed an overshoot on Christiane Amanpour, which is hard to do. Amanpour is heavily biased against Israel, but she's not an actual hater.

No, she's just insane. She scheduled an interview on Fox News on September 11th, but forgot that since that date fell on a Saturday this year she'd be facing Geraldo Rivera instead of Sean Hannity. Rivera proceeded to ask actualy questions and use real facts and thus left her looking like a fool. But rather than admit any error (even one of scheduling) she chose to see a conspiracy to "preach Islam".

Our visit coincided with the events that commemorate each March 10, the date the Dalai Lama fled Tibet on horseback in 1959. He managed to evade the Chinese Communist forces, disguised as a soldier and escaping at night. The somber remembrance is a little like what the Palestinians do every year. They call it al-Nakba, or “catastrophe,” which marks 1948 when they lost much of their land as the state of Israel was founded.

I watched that interview.

I found it hard to tell the difference between the American Preacher and the Imam in London.
They both sounded like bigots each wanting their own version of religion to be the only religion.

I have read here at LGF that Right / Left is not a straight line but a circle.
Well those two certainly seem to be at the same point.

Heh!

Good ol' stark raving bigot "Perfessor" Mike Adams at UNC Wilmington makes a major game out of pointing fun at typos in the letters and emails of critics. The fun with flippancy is, of course, that the assumed joke is in how stupid and puerile the letter writers are (GLBT people are called 'gilberts'. How funny!) and Perfessor Mikee never has to actually reply and answer their questions and charges.

How was hoist on his own petard when he made a typo in one of his columns at TownHall.com and several of us noticed it and called him on it. He changed it quickly and never acknowledged what happened. Total chickenshit.

The transcript of Amanpour's This Week (October 3, 2010) is here:
[Link: thepage.time.com...]

(snip)

SPENCER: what happened to your mosque is a terrible thing. Nobody should go around vandalizing anything. But there's also another thing, and you talk about why are Americans suspicious of these good people? Well, there's also documented evidence, and I can get it to you, that the Council on American-Islamic Relations and other groups have and mosques included, have actually fabricated hate crimes against Muslims that are later discovered that they did it themselves.

IMAM: No, no, no - come on.

SPENCER: I'm not saying that yours were fabricated. What is - maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. its why people are suspicious and that kind of thing has to addressed

AMANPOUR: Reza Aslan, you've heard - you've heard the -

REZA ASLAN, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, DAILY BEAST: Robert Spencer is quite famous for spewing nonsense, and this is - this is more nonsense that every single -media matters-- every single non-partisan media organization has said, quite clearly, every word that came out of Robert Spencer's mouth - the reason that he's the only one who said this is that he's the only one who actually has this information.

(crosstalk)

SPENCER: It's easy to attack me personally -- its harder to deal with the facts.

AMANPOUR: Reza, what did he say that was inaccurate?

ASLAN: I'm going to go ahead and trust the FBI instead of Robert Spencer when it comes to the rise in Muslim hate crimes. But that's not even the issue here. If you go around saying that 80 percent of mosques are preaching hatred and violence, then why are you surprised that people would actually respond with fear and with violence against Muslims?

SPENCER: Well, actually, I didn't say that.

ASLAN: And if you're spreading this kind of ideology, don't pretend that you don't have a role in the consequences of the things that you say.

SPENCER: -- when in reality, these were three separate, independent studies that came to this figure of 80 percent. They all say that in 1998

ASLAN: Those studies have already been bunked by everybody.

(CROSSTALK)

ASLAN: No one is taking you seriously.

Yes I did, I thought there was a possibility that the woman was acting crazy in an attempt to emulate fellow Tea-Bagger Glen Beck. She craves the limelight and this was her chance to grab the brass ring.

Of course that is in the past, I now know she is an insane drunk.

Ahmadinejad calls for US leaders to be 'buried'

Iran's president Sunday called for U.S. leaders to be "buried" in response to what he says are American threats of military attack against Tehran's nuclear program.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is known for brash rhetoric in addressing the West, but in a speech Sunday he went a step further using a deeply offensive insult in response to U.S. statements that the military option against Iran is still on the table.

"May the undertaker bury you, your table and your body, which has soiled the world," he said using language in Iran reserved for hated enemies.

He really needs to unclench that fist.

re: #142 Fat Bastard Vegetarian

If it doesn't have the meat stuff, it ain't gravy to me.

However, I've found this substitute works well:

Some oil, like between a half and a full cup. Peanut works well if you want that flavor, if not, use rapeseed (canola).
A grated onion (big)
Two cloves of garlic (minced/mashed/grated)
Flour (depending how thick you want it)
Couple tablespoons of yeast (the 'nutritional' kind)
Worcestershire sauce, a few tablespoons
Cayenne (pinch)
Ground cumin
ground coriander
Some veggie broth

First, warm up your broth to a simmer.

Fry up the onion and garlic in the oil until they're just about to but not yet brown, then put the yeast, flour, spices, and worcestishire sauce in there and stir it until it combines.

Then whisk that mixture slowly into the broth, and cook for another couple minutes.

146 Obdicut  Mon, Oct 4, 2010 5:04:06am

heat up grease (the bad stuff, none of that healthy veggie shit)

Salt and pepper to taste...

Heh. My recipie from this morning was basically what I gave you, but with beef broth. I don't actually use drippings to make gravy-- too fatty.

And it's really not that much cooking.

All you've gotta do is:

Pour broth into a pot and heat.
Grate an onion and garlic.
Fry 'em.
Shake out some spices and flour, squirt some soy and stuff.
Stir.
Stir into broth.
Yum.

Oh, if you want the artery goodness--- add two tablespoons of butter at the very end, once you've combined broth and flour mixture.

No, Alouette. "In Defense of Biblical Slavery" is the title of the site to which I linked, not of an item on that site. It clearly advocates the stated position, rather than just documenting it.

I checked and I don't think they link to my site. Anyway my site has disclaimer on every page that we do not endorse any of the content, that it is presented for historical research purposes.

Who knew Harvey Keitel, Quinton Tarantino, George Clooney, Selma Hayek, Julliette Lewis and Danny Trejo could make suck a Suckfest (and not in a good way) of a movie.

How could you not love a movie that has this great bit of dialogue?

Clooney: Thos things are going to break in here and kill us! And the only thing standing between them and us is you. So which are you? A failed priest or a mean, motherfucking Man of God?

Keitel: A mean (mumble, mumble) Man of God.

So I went outside last night to lock up the animals. The ducks were missing! Had a bit of a freak out and was all prepared to go duck hunting with a flashlight. Went to lock up the chickens and low and behold, the ducks! Guess they decided to stick with the crowd.

It was pretty funny. The ducks were nestled on the floor right beside one of the mother hens and her chicks. Today a few of the chicks much to the chagrin of mama hen have decided that the ducks are more interesting to follow around.

Republican Sharron Angle is definitely worried that she could lose the Nevada Senate race due to vote-splitting with Scott Ashjian, who is running on the "Tea Party" ballot line. She's so worried, in fact, that she personally met with Ashjian last week to tell him how much she really agrees with him about bashing the Republican Party, and offered him access to the party's upper echelons if he dropped out. re: #230 Varek Raith

Database, for the most part.
I think.

Yes... I spent 1993 through 2005 programming Oracle databases using Oracle forms and Oracle reports, and the programming language behind those forms and reports was Pl/SQL.

Back after the turn of the century, Oracle announced that they were developing a application server that would allow you to continue programming in that way, not having to learn HTML, Java or any of the other WEB BASED programming stuff.

You would simply continue to program under Oracle the way you always did, and the application server would take your programs and dynamically serve them up to a web browser.

It was an amazing product, the application server, and it did do what they said it would do, but at the same time, I didn't have to learn much of anything new, didn't need to learn any new web based tools or programming languages, just keep programming the way I had been doing for years.

Then when I got laid off in 2005, I stepped into the real world, lacking a lot of the newer skills needed to keep up with a fast evolving technology world.

You know you're going to get into trouble for that but it was funny so I gave you a ding anyway. Although, I do get into enough trouble around here without your help so I'd appreciate it if you kept your sarcasm to yourself in the future.

Good advice, but tough for someone who uses sarcasm a primary communication tool. I have to constantly remind myself that folks here don't know that I am an unrepentant, unreconstructed social liberal. My bitterness truly is directed towards the misguided minority of any grouping - political, religious, or other - who don't understand the Golden Rule. And who want to kill me.

Looks like Rahm Emanuel's hopes to be mayor of Chicago are starting to become a big hill to climb...

Jarrett Refuses to Back Emanuel

Rahm Emanuel: Experts say not a legal resident of Chicago, cannot run for mayor

Emanuel Mayoral Team Would Have to Explain $17M Bank Pay

Jewish voters don't reflexively back Rahm Emanuel for Chicago mayor

Obama could run..since he still has a home there and stays overnight occasionally. By the time the job opens up again, he may decide it's a better gig than the one he's got now.

I would suggest that Rahm was only looking for a gracious way to skedaddle from the WH. He never really meant to be mayor of Chicago; as my wife put it, who would give up a position of tremendous power and influence on a national level to be mayor of Chicago? There are other reasons which drove his decision.

McGregor, senators and lobbyists arrested on corruption charges

The owner of Alabama's largest casino is arrested, along with four senators and several lobbyists.

They have been indicted on federal charges accusing them of buying votes on a bill to legalize electronic bingo.

A federal grand jury has been investigating whether there was political corruption or vote buying going on, in the unsuccessful effort to pass legislation to legalize electronic gaming.

Victoryland casino owner Milton McGregor, Country Crossing casino developer Ronnie Gilley and state Senators James Prueitt, Quinton Ross, Jr., Harri Anne Smith and Larry Means were among those indicted.

Because the world isn't screwed up enough we're going to toss Biden into the mix? The only way that plan works is if Obama doesn't really want a 2nd term.

Closing arguments held at NYC temple-plot trial

Four men accused of plotting to blow up synagogues and shoot down military planes believed that the scheme concocted in a government sting would kill innocent New Yorkers, a prosecutor said Monday in closing arguments at the men's trial.

"The defendants thought this was real — real bombs, real missiles — every step of the way," Assistant U.S. Attorney David Raskin told a jury in federal court in Manhattan.

Lawyers for alleged Muslim mastermind James Cromitie and co-defendants Onta Williams, David Williams and Laguerre Payen have accused the government of entrapping harmless dupes with a paid FBI informant posing as a representative of a Pakistani terror organization.

Raskin argued that the men needed little prompting to commit to a jihad operation.

"The FBI did exactly what it's supposed to do," he said. "It caught four dangerous men before they could do any real harm. ... Ordinary people wouldn't even dream of what these defendants did."

Hopefully these fine gentlemen will get to enjoy everything our prison system has to offer for a very long time.

~ Christiane Amanpour

The Pali terrorists are just like the Dalai Lama.

I would venture that NJD's comment is a wry take on Amanpour's uncalled for - but characteristic - attempt to equate Tibetan oppression by the Chinese to the founding of the State of Israel. Whether she employs the coy phrase "a little like" is irrelevant. Her intention is clear: Israel oppressor. Palestinian oppressed. Rinse, Repeat.

Pioneer of In Vitro Fertilization Wins Nobel Prize

The Nobel prize in physiology or medicine has been awarded this year to Robert G. Edwards, an English biologist who with a physician colleague, Patrick Steptoe, developed the in vitro fertilization procedure for treating human infertility.

Since the birth of the first test tube baby, Louise Brown, on July 25, 1978, some four million babies worldwide have been conceived by mixing eggs and sperm outside the body and returning the embryo to the womb to resume the normal development. The procedure overcomes many previously untreatable causes of infertility and is used in 3 percent of all live births in developed countries.

Wonderful. He certainly deserves this award. He has helped millions of people who couldn't normally have kids because of health issues. Me and my wife owe him a gigantic thanks for my twin girls.

I don't know. I don't follow her, and I'm even willing to take your word on that, though I'd prefer to see what pro-Hamas statements she's made. I have already agreed that likening fleeing Tibet to fleeing Palestine is a poor simile. On the other hand that statement is _not_ the same, by a long shot, as equating the Dalai Lama with Palestinian terrorists. Your specific statement in #22 imples exactly that, and it's dead wrong.

Where have I been? Not watching Amanpour. As I said, I was and am willing to take your word on her bias. Though Hamas winning the populace in Gaza is being echoed today with similar terrorist organizations winning popular support in in Pakistan for flood relief in absence of other major players. It's a clever tactic, and effective, and apparently we've not learned much in the last 4 years.

And, it still doesn't make your likening all Palestinians to terrorists accurate. Nor "a little like" to "just like".

re: #35 Dark_Falcon

No, but far too many of them are terror minded, and their refusal to simply accept the loss of lands in 1948 makes peace impossible. Here's a good article on that:

The Nakba Obsession by Sol Stern.

One of the things that has long bothered me about the discussions I see re Israel and her foes is this nasty tendency to apply tu quoque and each to all arguments.

I've no problem with defenses such as mentioned recently regarding the soldiers using a child as a shield - that while it happened, Israel hammered the soldiers.

But the one problem where this is particularly evident to me is the long-standing issue of settlements. By the decision of Israel's own courts this is wrong. A group of people move into territory belonging to others and squat on it. When the owners attempt to evict the squatters, the sqatters shoot back. If the owners are still winning, the Israeli military is brought in.

It's wrong. Yet any discussion of the subject is inevitably sidetracked with a tu quoque about how the owners are (usually) Palestinian, and Palestine and Gaza are where Hamas and Hezbollah are, and those organizations use terrorist attacks on Israel, so there.

Note please that this last paragraph isn't just to quoque. It's each to all. Some are terrorists therefore all are terrorists. It's the same evil argument on which Gellar and her ilk are attacking all Muslims.

I've kept silent on this for a while, demonstrating a regrettable cowardice. I've done so for many reasons, not least of which is that I consider the Islamic terrorists who attack Israel worse.

But that's the same trap, and both honesty and honor demand I stand even when it's hard. In the specific case, finding wrongful behavior on Israel's part does not make me, or Christine Amanpour, a supporter of Israel's foes. I think she's more tolerant of those foes than I am, but please don't use the methods we condemn in Gellar and company to paint either of us as allies of Israel's foes.

You and I will have to agree to disagree. I think "a little like" and "just like" are two different phrases with two different meanings. You seem to be saying that with what you know regarding Amanpour's beliefs based on other statements she has made you get to rewrite what she said here. That doesn't seem like honest argument to me.
