Sharron Angle Resorts to Blatant Dishonesty

Sharron Angle’s new attack ad contains a statement that is … no other way to say it … a lie.
The ad asserts that Harry Reid voted to pay for “Viagra for convicted child molesters.” But in reality, what Reid voted against was one of many silly obstructionist amendments to the health care reform bill introduced by Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn, banning insurance coverage for Viagra for convicted sex offenders.
Angle herself might be stupid enough to miss the point of this political maneuvering, but the GOP operatives funding her campaign and coming up with these ads certainly do understand it. It’s simple, glaring dishonesty in plain view.
