GOP Removes Nazi-Dressing Candidate From ‘Young Guns’ List

As I pointed out yesterday, when the news broke that Republican candidate Rich Iott liked to dress up as a Nazi for “reenactments,” the right wing blogosphere immediately started defending him — because there is nothing these people won’t defend, if it’s done by a right wing Republican. White supremacism, racism, wearing Nazi uniforms; none of this is a problem for the right wing base.

But it seems the national Republican Party isn’t quite ready to start defending candidates who dress as members of the Waffen SS: Republicans Scrub Nazi-Impersonating House Candidate From Young Guns Website.

House Minority Whip Eric Cantor doesn’t seem to want to defend this, either: Eric Cantor Seeks Distance From Rich Iott, GOP Candidate Who Dressed In Nazi Garb.
