Breaking: Joe Miller’s Security Guards Have No License

Wingnuts • Views: 8,669

Amazing. As more news comes out about the “security guards” who handcuffed Alaskan reporter Tony Hopfinger, we’re learning that they’re survivalists who run a cheesy military surplus store — and they had no business license to operate as security guards.

Due to the discovery of our reader Older_Wiser we can reveal that the business license for “Dropzone Security Services”, 3701 SPENARD ROAD, ANCHORAGE AK 99503, owned by William F. Fulton expired on 31/12/2009 and was NOT renewed!

The company belonging Mr. Fulton, who was pictured in the above clips, is currently not licensed for providing security services. Joe Miller therefore employed the services of a “rogue” security company, so to speak.

I would think, as they provide armed details, a license might be an issue.

Oh, and check out the local pages reviews of them:

These are the people that have made the word “operator” and “tactical” sour in the mouth of anyone who takes this kind of stuff seriously. Taped to their door is a sign saying “this is not a *#&%ing museum, don’t come in here to just look at stuff,” which to me, created a nice, amicable atmosphere conducive to the exchange of goods and services. I then went in looking for a 1911 concealment holster, to which the chubby man decked out in multi-cam told me “we only deal in tactical gear, and concealment ain’t an option when you’re tactical, bro.” Stupid question on my part, I guess, being an OEF and OIF veteran… I then told him I guess I would look around the store for a little bit. And William Fulton, head of the DropZone security firm that provided the bodyguards to Miller, told Talking Points Memo he has received death threats and his employees have been called “hired goons.”

Possibly apocryphal story about Nell Gwynn, one of Charles II’s multiple fancy ladies—tale goes she was riding down the streets of London in one of Charles’s carriages, when the mob misidentifies her as either the queen or one of the Catholic mistresses, and begin to throw stuff at the carriage, yelling about “the Catholic whore”. Nell, despite the driver’s panic, opens the curtains and yells “Good people, pray be civil! I am the PROTESTANT whore!!!”

Whereupon they all cheered.

What a bunch of clowns. Gun shop commandos is all they are or ever will be. I hope that reporter sues their “tactical” pants right off them.

These brownshirt wannbees must have been bullied quite a bit when they were little boys. Could this be where Iron Fist works?

These are a bunch of brown shirted Nazis who don’t know the law. Little boys who bully others on the playground now think it’s okay to do so in real life. Pinheaded, room-temperature-IQ-having, pimpled-dicked douche bags.

It is Iron Fist and Grimcargo! I didn’t know they had a shop in Alaska!

Taped to their door is a sign saying “this is not a *#&%ing museum, don’t come in here to just look at stuff,” which to me, created a nice, amicable atmosphere conducive to the exchange of goods and services.

Savage is clearly the manager…

I then went in looking for a 1911 concealment holster, to which the chubby man decked out in multi-cam told me “we only deal in tactical gear, and concealment ain’t an option when you’re tactical, bro.”

HAHHAHHAAAHHAAA! That would be Former Corpsman on the register! They are all such experts in the *manly* arts of being so very *manly*

Stupid question on my part, I guess, being an OEF and OIF veteran… I then told him I guess I would look around the store for a little bit. Back when everyone was fussing about how impossible it was to find ammo anymore, and how the prices were skyrocketing, I asked my students if they were having trouble. They looked confused and said, “We just go to Big 5. They have everything. Or sometimes Justin’s dad gives us his extras.”

I’m still waiting for Obama to swoop in and seize all the guns and the ammo. One Baptist Church To Celebrate Halloween By Burning Bibles
CANTON, N.C. (October 13, 2009)—The Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Canton, N.C. will celebrate Halloween by burning Bibles that aren’t the King James Version, as well as music and books and anything else Pastor Marc Grizzard says is a satanic influence.

Among the authors whose books Grizzard plans to burn are well known ministers Rick Warren and Billy Graham because he says they have occasionally used Bibles other than the King James Version, which is the sole biblical source he considers infallible.

According to the church’s Web site, members will also burn “Satan’s music such as country, rap, rock, pop, heavy metal, western, soft and easy, southern gospel, contemporary Christian, jazz, soul (and) oldies.

“We will also be burning Satan’s popular books written by heretics like Billy Graham, Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, John McArthur, James Dobson, Charles Swindoll, John Piper, Chuck Colson, Tony Evans, Oral Roberts, Jimmy Swagart, Mark Driskol, Franklin Graham, Bill Bright, Tim Lahaye, Paula White, T.D. Jakes, Benny Hinn, Joyce Myers, Brian McLaren, Robert Schuller, Mother Teresa, The Pope, Rob Bell, Erwin McManus, Donald Miller, Shane Claiborne, Brennan Manning (and) William Young.

During the book burning, according to the Web site, barbecued chicken fried chicken and “all the sides” will be served.

Ah, book burning. What a joyous Christian pastime….

I’m a good sled handler, but you don’t want me rescuing you…I’m known for getting the sled to first aid at record speed…Last year, I took a guy (fortunately he was quite stoned at the time) straight down an advanced run in heavy snow…the pro driving the snow mobile to tow us back around to the front side of the mountain said, “Holy shit! Meghan McCain also has an image problem. She’s reviled by Republicans because she’s seen as one of these conservatives that the liberal media loves to bring on their shows because she bashes her own.

McCain also likes to call herself a “Progressive Republican,” which everyone can agree is an oxymoron. It is because she takes a “liberal” stance on the two red meat social issues and on climate change. She’d do better to call herself an “Independent Republican” or a “Libertarian Republican.”

Are they required to be licensed by state or local regs?

They should be…for example, here in Tennessee, ANY company that wishes to hire out private security guards (armed or unarmed) must be licensed with the TN Department of Commerce & Insurance, be bonded and insured, and meet certain guidelines to operate as a security company in the state. Guards also must be licensed by the Department of Commerce and Insurance as well.

Hell, even in my current job as an alarm company employee, my company and any employee that deals directly with the public, such as salespeople, technicians, and central station operators (which I am one), must also be licensed by the Department of Commerce & Insurance.

It’s all all regulating minimum standards and safeguarding consumer protections from the likes of shady operators, such as these Drop Zone goons.

Crystal Cathedral megachurch files for bankruptcy…

news.yahoo.com

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. – Crystal Cathedral, the megachurch birthplace of the televangelist show “Hour of Power,” filed for bankruptcy Monday in Southern California after struggling to emerge from debt that exceeds $43 million.

In addition to a $36 million mortgage, the Orange County-based church owes $7.5 million to several hundred vendors for services ranging from advertising to the use of live animals in Easter and Christmas services.

The church had been negotiating a repayment plan with vendors, but several filed lawsuits seeking quicker payment, which prompted a coalition formed by creditors to fall apart.

Yeah, the strikebreaking (and worse) bits were neatly tucked out of sight of the official Pinkerton corporate history by the time I was working for them (1995-2003), but they’d been a full-on modern corporate security firm for a long time then. Besides, a job’s a job, as long as it’s legal and the work is decent…left them for greener pastures long ago.

Apparently Goldberg is a supporter of vigiliantism. I am not.

Goldberg echoes co-conspirator, Hamas linked CAIR’s talking points, and steals their talking points. Surprised? Me neither. These anti-semites deserve each other.

Giving neo-Nazis a dose of their own medicine

Something’s rotten in the state of Germany. And according to the Front of German Apples, it’s fruit. These are hard times for the German fruit, they say. First of all, they are being cross-bred with foreign species — like citrus fruits —and losing their botanical purity. Second, fruits from the south are out of control. German children are all of a sudden eating bananas, pineapples and kiwis, whilst apples and pears are left behind in their order of preferences. The only solution, insist the Front of German Apples, is to close the borders. Finally, there are far too many fruits falling to the ground and rotting. Something must be done so they are not left there, but contribute to the health and wellbeing of German society — maybe fruit purée.

For six years now, the Front of German Apples has taken to the streets every time neo-Nazis make a public appearance, to take a sarcastic jab at them. And to defend the future of German fruit, of course. This weekend saw the latest neo-Nazi rally, even though it was only a minor event involving about a hundred people due to a court order curtailing their proposed march. And, as usual, the Front of German Apples also came out to demonstrate.

5 Reasons The Future Will Be Ruled By Bullshit

Picture your ideal future. OK, not your ideal future, where you’re the last man on earth fighting the zombie horde, but society’s ideal future: Energy is clean and limitless, goods are plentiful and machines take care of all the dirty work. So everybody’s happy, right?

The United States has asked the Chinese government to do more to stop Chinese companies helping Iran with its nuclear programme and missile technology.

A senior US official told the BBC that Washington had provided Beijing with a list of firms it believed had been operating in violation of UN sanctions.

Beijing promised it was committed to implementing the sanctions and that it would investigate, the official added.

NATO official: Bin Laden, deputy hiding in northwest Pakistan

Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) — Osama bin Laden and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri are believed to be hiding close to each other in houses in northwest Pakistan, but are not together, a senior NATO official said.

“Nobody in al Qaeda is living in a cave,” said the official, who declined to be named because of the sensitivity of the intelligence matters involved.

Rather, al Qaeda’s top leadership is believed to be living in relative comfort, protected by locals and some members of the Pakistani intelligence services, the official said.

Pakistan has repeatedly denied protecting members of the al Qaeda leadership.

The official said the general region where bin Laden is likely to have moved around in recent years ranges from the mountainous Chitral area in the far northwest near the Chinese border, to the Kurram Valley, which adjoins Afghanistan’s Tora Bora, one of the Taliban strongholds during the U.S. invasion in 2001.

All I hear is armchair generaling without thought as to how to go about this.

We have to get aggressive re sanction enforcement.

Those sanctions were not ‘suggestions’.

Now why would the Iranians arm their rivals? The best opportunity for the bad guys to use a nuke would have been 2005-06, during the worst part of our occupation of Iraq. Baghdad would have been the perfect target, because they could have accused us of setting it off in hopes of battling the insurgiency. Doesn’t have to be true, but who would most people have believed? Now, you have to put yourself in the Iranians strategic position. What can you do with a nuclear weapon?…

405 SteveMcGazi  Mon, Oct 18, 2010 9:02:27pm

To continue:

There’s no way the Iranians would ever put a nuke into the hands of somebody they can’t trust. Assuming they would have iron control of the jahidi du jour, once that weapon leaves Iranian territory it becomes a huge liability. And what actually happens if they do succeed in detonating one somewhere? What strategic advantage would Tehran gain?

I have not doubt that once they start building nukes they will have no problem sending them to their friends in Syria, Hezbollah, and if they can get them there, Hamas. That would put Israel in incredible danger. Add to those terrorists they support I wouldn’t be surprised if they get a few to al Qaeda & the Taliban in Pakistan & Africa. That would make the Nazis look like boy scouts compared to islamic jihadists with nuclear weapons.

408 Mad Prophet Ludwig  Mon, Oct 18, 2010 9:07:43pm

The topic of this thread though does put in mind a funny thing that happened to me on Sunday though.

I want to talk about the “dork bluff.” Dork bluff is when you have some shop owner who is part of an ohhh sooo cool set that you have to be special enough to be a part of, and who assumes all sorts of knowledge when he has none. Of course, his clientèle are posers also, so, the shop owner “dork bluffs” them with a mix of elite sounding words, exclusive language and appeal to authority. Like:

“We only deal in tactical gear, and concealment ain’t an option when you’re tactical, bro.”

I went to the Renaissance Festival with Miss S. on Sunday. For the record, she looked amazing in a corset and flowy chemise… but, I digress. As many of you know, I am something of a sword geek, to put it mildly. I have many years of fencing and kendo under my belt and I have been studying some of the Chinese forms lately.

Rennfests sell swords, or to be more specific, sword shaped objects that are priced higher than any number of actual swords, and they will try to tell you that these are priceless works of art, forged by Masamune, transported to ancient Britain, held aloft by the Lady of the Lake and presented here - to you, for the low, low price of around $300-1500.

I went into one of the sword shops - as I always do, sometimes there is something worth looking at, or at least once there was.

I saw several heavy calvary sabers hanging up on the wall.

Behind the counter - glass and filled to the brim with Conan, Rambo and fantasy goth weenie knives - was a pudgy kid of about 20.

I asked “Could you tell me about the steel in those sabers?”

He pulled one down - an obvious Chinese replica of a Confederate heavy saber, that was too long, had a loose bell guard, and was “distressed” to make it look older.

This is a U.S. Marine saber. He intoned. It is fully battle ready and made of high carbon steel.

Partially drawing the blade, I point out that the cheap, pattern mold engraving said “CSA.”

“CSA is marine special forces.” He said. Gaining confidence he continued, the S is for special. Everyone who is serious about swords would know it is Clandestine Special Actions… sir!” The sir was said with just the right surly and dismissive roll of the eyes. The kid was good. I knew I had caught him by surprise when I asked about the CSA…

Ohhh… I said, sort of like very old school marine rangers who carry shiny cavalry sabers, in shiny metal scabbards on special missions! “Wow” I said! “Learn something new each day…”

“Japanese army carried katanas into the field to this day! People who take swords seriously know they still have uses.” He said.

“You sure CSA isn’t Confederate States of America?” I asked.

He rolled his eyes again.

So you said this was high carbon steel? I asked.

“Yes, high carbon.”

“So like 1060, 1080, 1095, T-10?”

“It’s high carbon steel man.”

“Why does it say stainless China on the forte then?”

“The forte?”

I pointed to the part of the blade near the guard.

Ohhh… well stainless is high carbon…

“I see. And you are telling people that this is battle ready?”

“Yes and it is great for cutting!”

“I was enjoying playing with you, but now this is a little serious. Stainless steel is made with a lot of chromium in the alloy, it allows for a goo hardness and edge retention, and that makes it good for knives, but it is too brittle to make into a sword. Any blade of that steel over six or seven inches is begging for problems. If someone used this for cutting, there would be a very good chance of it shattering. A shattered flying blade can seriously hurt someone. I don’t mind you playing up a wall hanger, but you can’t tell people lies that might get them hurt. And yes they may be dumb kids, but you could at least not try to convince them you are an expert and then sell them junk in a way that would hurt them.”

Anyway, that is the “Dork Bluff.”

Have they seen action? Have we seen them, or might this be bit of psyop effort?

They really do have the Anti-Ship Missiles. The good news is that they don’t really have an air force capable of hurting us. We would sweep them from the skies in very short order.

The Chicago Way? The Alaska Way? Looks like they’ve got a lot in common.

I don’t think their missiles are as good as the ones shown on their videos.

No. If this was the Chicago Way, the reporter would come up floating the river.

Yes, here he will be found “embedded” in a block of ice.

If the Iranians have Silkworm anti-ship missiles, we’d better be cautious, because the Chinese themselves most likely have plans to use them on our ships if they ever go for broke on Taiwan “reunification” and we send a carrier battle group to intervene.

Our ships may have good defensive weapons, but against a swarm of Exocets or Silkworms, all it takes is one or two to have a real bad day.

Maybe if we attack Iran we could cut taxes again!!

418 SteveMcGazi  Mon, Oct 18, 2010 9:29:54pm

Seriously, the next time somebody wants to have a go around about Iranian nukes, put yourself in the Iranians’ war room and game it out. If anybody had done the same thing in 2002/03 we could have saved ourselves a lot of trouble in Iraq, for which I was completely and utterly disregarded by many of the same people who learned the hard way that “Iraqi Freedom” was the biggest foreign policy blunder since Barbarossa.

Thank you! And by the way, that was both a true story, AND my post about the stalkers.

I wonder if those aging, fat nija wannabes were bright enough to get it…

Probably not, that’s why I explained it here and made it into a thread of its own :)

Drop Zone, ironically, is owned and operated by former employees of Blackwater… (yes, THAT Blackwater!)

They don’t mention classical. I’m not going to mention it to them, lest they get any ideas.

Please don’t. A lot of it was written by them Catholics and, even worse, Joooooooooosssss!
