Thanks to Brian Deagon of Investor’s Business Daily, for including LGF in his list of the Top 10 Political Blogs!

Here’s Brian’s list:

This reporter asked research firms Hitwise, ComScore and Nielsen to rate 10 pre-selected blogs. The sites were subjectively chosen. The research firms’ rankings were based on their objective methods of counting traffic at Web sites. The ratings from the three were then then averaged out to come up with our admittedly unscientific rankings below.

In choosing the 10 sites, those tied to mainstream media outlets or foundations, and sites that are mostly news aggregators were eliminated. The focus was on sites that have pretty solid reputations. They’re largely independent and primarily rely on a small pool of editors and writers. …

Here’s my list of the Top 10 political blogs.

• 1) DailyKos.com. Founded in 2002 by Markos Moulitsas Zuniga, DailyKos provides news and opinion from a liberal viewpoint. It has eight paid staffers and over time has also posted commentary from Obama, former President Jimmy Carter, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and dozens of other members of Congress and state governors.

• 2) HotAir.com. Founded in 2006 by blogger Michelle Malkin, the site is now led by conservative Ed Morrissey, who formerly blogged on his site, “Captain’s Quarters,” which was launched in 2003. Morrissey helped expose the Canadian government “Adscam” corruption scandal in 2005.

• 3) TalkingPointsMemo.com. Founded in 2000 by Joshua Micah Marshall, it covers a range of topics from a politically left perspective. In 2007, TPM won a prestigious Polk Award for its coverage of the U.S. attorney scandal.

• 4) MichelleMalkin.com. Founded in 2004 by Malkin, a conservative blogger, political commentator for Fox News and author. In 2009, she wrote the book: “Culture of Corruption: Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks, and Cronies.”

• 5) RedState.com. Founded in 2004, the conservative site is now run by Erick Erickson, who is also a political commentator for CNN.

• 6) CrooksandLiars.com. The liberal site was founded in 2004 by John Amato and gained recognition for its video blogging.

• 7) Powerlineblog.com. The conservative site was founded in 2002 by three lawyers, John Hinderaker, Scott Johnson and Paul Mirengoff, who say the media suffer from systemic liberal bias. The site got widespread recognition for covering the Killian documents story that forced out Dan Rather.

• 8) FireDogLake.com. The liberal blog site was founded in 2004 by Jane Hamsher, who is a film producer, author and political commentator. The site is noted for its coverage of the Valerie Plame scandal in 2007 and Plame’s connections to the CIA.

• 9) LittleGreenFootballs.com. It was founded in 2001 by Charles Johnson, who also played a key role in covering the Dan Rather story. The site was conservative until Johnson one year ago wrote that “The American right wing has gone off the rails, into the bushes, and off the cliff. I won’t be going over the cliff with them.”

• 10) Balloon-Juice.com. The site was founded in 2002 by John Cole, a former Republican whose site is now identified as liberal.

Lord have mercy on the people in England for the terrible food these people must eat. And Lord have mercy on the fate of this movie and God bless the mind of the man in the street.
