New GOP Missouri House Majority Leader: An ‘Unapologetic Birther’
The new Missouri House of Representatives majority leader, Timothy W. Jones, elected unanimously to the position by the new Republican caucus, is an unapologetic Birther.

That this is an issue is ridiculous. John McCain, who all these birthers voted for, was not even born in the U.S. Obama was born is the good old USA. This is such a stupid distraction from what actually matters.

Stupid distractions are what the modern GOP is all about.

The amount of calculated stupidity it takes to be a ‘birther’ is rather extreme.
The actual conspiracy, on the face of it, makes no sense.
Why on earth would Obama’s mother had chosen to fly to Africa to have a child, and then go through an elaborate forgery to try to pretend she’d had him in Hawaii?
Why wouldn’t she have just had him in Hawaii?
There is nothing, literally nothing about the birther issue that makes any sense at all.

Of course, it will provide a nice distraction that keeps anything from getting done, while keeping the Fox base incensed.
Remember, the endgame is killing climate and ensuring that nothing effects the corporate masters. Getting some wedge issue bones out to the “pious” sector of their base is secondary.
Something like this is noise that can be used to prevent organized resistance.

Rush: Winners Don’t Compromise
But when it comes to core principle, like we’re talking about here with politics, saving the country, moving forward, no compromise on that. There’s no half freedom. There’s no half tyranny. It’s like I said yesterday, where’s the compromise between food and poison? Where’s the compromise between good and evil? Now, some people revolt, “What do you mean, good and evil? Are you saying Democrats are evil?” The direction they’re taking the country is not good. Whether they’re evil individual people or not I don’t know, but liberalism’s evil. What about liberalism do you want? Because I’ll tell you, here’s the thing about them: Whatever they get is never enough. Never. It’s never enough. They are never placated, never satisfied.

Of course, if I don’t win, its obvious those evil bastards rigged the election and its my patriotic duty to obstruct them.

Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can’t and won’t compromise. I know, I’ve tried to deal with them.”

Can I now say that the American voting public is full of morons?
What can explain voting for people like this?
Do people really think that this is a good idea? That not raising the debt ceiling will be awesome and not make the loves of almost everyone miserable?
I can’t even use the fact that the President is brown as an explanation any more to explain the idiocy going on in this country now.

The Majority Leader no less. How embarrassing.
Our country may be entering into a period of unprecedented darkness.
Hard to tell of course. Perhaps in a few years, the fickle public may see the TP crows for the cranks that they are and vote them out in the future. Then again, maybe not. Perhaps this is but a small taste of the utter moronic behavior of Republicans to come.

The children of women who are american citizens are automatically fully-naturalized american citizens. Obama’s mother was an american citizen. Therefore, even if Obama was born in Kenya, he would be eligible for the presidency.
Even if the birthers were exactly right about every factual claim regarding Obama which they espouse, they still have no point whatsoever. Even if they are right, Obama is 100% eligible to be president.
It just blows my mind.

To be an actual “unapologetic Birther” doesn’t anyone think that there should be an actual statement where he says some kind of support for being a birther?
I am not saying he isn’t, but following the links provided always seems to dead end at:
A message left at Jones’ office was not immediately returned.
Or
refused to comment on Obama’s alleged usurping of the presidency.
I mean for a blog that gave the other Jones (Van) the benefit of the doubt, isn’t the headline a bit of a stretch?
Who’s word are we taking on this? Orly Taitz? Really?

Jones was listed as a plaintiff in a lawsuit filed by lawyer-dentist Taitz to obtain an original birth certificate, immigration records, passports and other vital records from Obama.

Why wouldn’t he still be a citizen through his mother?
Why did the family fake birth announcements in the Honolulu papers, decades before a sane person would have considered that baby Barack might want to go into politics?
Someone posted some time back a very funny animation that showed what you actually have to believe in order to buy the whole birther thing.

Down at the bottom of the certificate of live birth it says “This copy serves as prima facie evidence of the fact of birth in any court proceeding.” You don’t need a long form, you don’t need something signed by the doctor. The certificate is sufficient in any court. “Ms Taitz, you have thirty seconds to get out of my court before I find you in contempt.”
Over, done, stick a fork in it. Birthers have nothing, zero, zip, nada, bupkis to stand on. How many ways are there to say it?

I’ve yet to meet a birther who is “apologetic”. I guess that makes sense though. You have to have enough knowledge to know your position is senseless to understand that you’re in the wrong, and I’ve yet to meet a birther who has even the faintest idea what constitutes a valid birth certificate, let alone that one fitting the bill has been provided at every legitimate request.
