GOP Puts Crazy Uncle Ron Paul in Charge of US Monetary Policy

Politics • Views: 22,217

As expected, the Republican Party has placed Ron Paul, a pseudo-libertarian far right kook with an openly stated desire to destroy the Federal Reserve and return the US economy to the gold standard, in charge of overseeing the Federal Reserve.

I can see no possible negative repercussions from this.

At risk of “wish-casting” reality may smack this guy into our reality from wherever he lives and thinks. Sure has many more before, including his son.

From the article…

“Paul, who has introduced legislation to abolish the Fed, became nationally known during his 2008 presidential campaign. His campaign to audit the Fed picked up steam as the central bank deployed trillions in emergency loans in the midst of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. Paul’s bill gained the support of 320 of 435 members of the House and a portion of the measure ended up in the Dodd-Frank financial regulatory overhaul enacted this year.”

So… Paul has bipartisan support in the House?

Who holds the spot now?

14 Lidane  Thu, Dec 9, 2010 10:44:09am

I can’t wait to see the fights among the establishment GOP when Ron Paul starts openly unleashing the crazy and starts “investigating” the Fed, hearings and all.

This will be entertaining. Horrifying, yet entertaining.

Thank God Paul will be involved in setting federal financial policy.

Now maybe we can get to the bottom of those North Korean attacks:

Well, this isn’t the first time they’ve done something like this. Bush sent an anti-UN fucktard to be our ambassador to the UN.

Man, you can’t write comedy like this.

I shall be divesting myself of any US Treasuries now.

What are they nuts? You know, I’m trying really, really, hard to give the GOP the benefit of the doubt. I must be a sucker for punishment.

That would be a brilliant idea, actually. They’re so far gone, the swing back must be … severe.

Oh I’m done

at this point, I’m sorta like the guy on the couch watching the WORLD’S MOST HORRIBLE POLICE CHASES, but instead of police chases, it’s the GOP cauzing havoc

It’s actually quite relaxing!Just shrug and accept that a large portion of the country are not very bright, and it all becomes easier :D
