Pamela Geller Lays Some Hate on Mayor Bloomberg

Wingnuts • Views: 21,693

Speaking of lunatics, today Pamela “Shrieking Harpy” Geller is calling for New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to be “brought up on charges” for sekritly supporting the construction of the Cordoba House community center (which she charmingly calls “the Ground Zero mosque attack”):

PAMELA GELLER, BIG GOVERNMENT: BLOOMBERG WORKED BEHIND THE SCENES TO GET GROUND ZERO MOSQUE APPROVED.

I tell you, Bloomberg should be brought up on charges for aiding and abetting the swindlers and grifters behind the Ground Zero mosque attack. Go read my piece over at Big Government. [Or not. – ed.]

Geller doesn’t say what crimes Bloomberg should be charged with, though. Felony Not Hating Muslims? Conspiracy to Commit Sanity?

Here’s the article about Michael Bloomberg’s shocking sekrit support for Cordoba House that has Geller worked up into a lather: Bloomberg’s aides provided political support for Ground Zero mosque, released emails show.

Bloomberg’s community and immigrant affairs commissioners gave Imam Rauf and his wife advice, exchanged emails with them, and drafted a letter to the community board. According to the article:

City Hall says it is the job of the community and immigrant affairs commissioners to assist community groups, including drafting letters for them. Officials noted Bloomberg has always been in favor of building the mosque near Ground Zero.

Lock this man up and throw away the key!

So, she’s upset that these commissioners did their jobs? What were they supposed to do, engage in some illegal discrimination?

I tell ya, these Gubmint employees - either they’re not doing their jobs and everybody’s mad at ‘em, or they ARE doing their jobs and everybody’s mad at ‘em.
When are they gonna get a clue?

And why would a mayor want an abandoned building turned into a community center, anyway?

Yes, I think Pam wanted them to do exactly that. Except it wouldn’t have been illegal in her mind, because in Pam’s mind, basically nothing you do to Muslims counts as bad.

This is the very essence of propaganda. The goal is to elicit a specific response from the audience. How you get there is immaterial.

It’s this office’s particular job and responsibility to coordinate with local groups on a wide range of matters.

If you’re going to argue against the agency’s involvement in this instance, you’d better be calling for a complete separation of church and state and eliminating all coordinating activities.

I’m not implying that propaganda is inherently good or bad. It can be used either way.

However, when one takes to sophistry to shoehorn their audience into a desired response, the end result is often an audience that has lost the ability to discern the strength or weakness of an argument on its own merits. You end up with people who “pick a side”, rather than an informed electorate.

If this seems like a familiar trend, consider that it is perhaps because we are more saturated in (extremely skillful) propaganda than we have ever been in our nation’s history. A convinced electorate stands in stark distinction to an informed electorate.

For over sixty years, the Israeli (and Jews) have been targeted by the Palestinians (and much of the Arab world) with some of the most vicious state sponsored hate and racism. That vile hate is taught in schools, broadcast in media and often preached from the pulpit.

If that weren’t bad enough, Israelis (and Jews) have been targeted for terror, butchered, slaughtered, blown up and otherwise abused. This has been going for over 60 years.

Of course, that hate precedes the State of Israel, but we’ll keep it simple.

Might I suggest that before you condemn the israelis, a bit of time in their shoes might be in order. In my opinion, they have been remarkably restrained.

Propaganda can have good effects, but the participation of journalists in propaganda isn’t consistent or compatible with an informed populace that makes rational decisions.

European Neo-Nazis visit Israel….
Support for Israel’s Settlements From Europe’s Right (with video)

During his trip to Israel, Mr. Wilders also met with Israel’s most prominent settler, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, as Radio Netherlands reported.

The day after Mr. Wilders spoke in Tel Aviv, a delegation of anti-immigrant politicians from Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Britain and Sweden toured West Bank settlements. Arutz Sheva, a settler news organization, observed: “Sixty-five years after the defeat of the Third Reich, a senior delegation of European right-wing politicians toured Samaria Monday in support of the Jews who live there, whom they see as a bridgehead in the struggle against a common foe — Islamic jihadism and expansionism.”

A very serious mistake on the part of the Israeli government to allow this visit.

The settler spokesman David Ha’Ivri, who helped host the European delegation, told Arutz Sheva: “If these European leaders — with their ties to anti-Semitic groups and their past — come around and declare that Israel has a right to exist securely in all of the areas under our control, and that Europe has a moral responsibility because of the crimes of their past, then I believe that we should accept their friendship.” Calling their statements of support for the settlements, “the strongest possible tool in the war against anti-Semitism,” Mr. Ha’ivri added:

No skinhead cares what [Anti-Defamation League Chairman] Abe Foxman has to say, but if Filip Dewinter and Heinz-Christian Strache make these statements they will have real impact. For that reason I am considering appearing with them in their countries for pro-Israel rallies. I think that it is worth the risk of being defamed by Haaretz and the like if we can cause a shift in the European nationalist movements, moving them away from their traditional Jew-hatred and bringing them closer to appreciation of Zionism. Like it or not, there are many israelis who are starting to wake up to that.

The SNL skit was making fun of the democrats who were happy to push Obama under the bus. And in order to do so would say anything to distance themselves from the anchor he was becoming.

Now SNL’s audience is not the pro Israel group, so they would not do the fatma skit. But I think it is very similar.

I’ve never heard of Latma, and I don’t care about satire. I can say that Geller and Glick certainly exaggerate the numbers of true honor killings in the West when they say “Hundreds”. The same holds true of the bogus death count at The Religion of Peace site. (I used to quote figures from that site myself, until the day I noticed in my research on the subcontinent that every criminal incident with guns or bombs was also reported as terror, and that the number always went up and never down, even after follow up reports clearly ascribed the attack to Naxalites, Maoists, Gangs, Terai separatists, Hindu nationalists, Malay pirates, etc. etc. etc.)

You know, I’m really sorry that so many people made fun of Sarah Palin, because now we’re gonna have to hear about how Miss Arrogant Whinypants was victimized from now until the end of time, whenever anyone criticizes anything said about any Democrat, ever. OK. Not a problem.

However, over 7,000 men and boys were slaughtered at Srbrenica, in my lifetime, and I ain’t forty yet. I consider any apologist for that to be beneath my contempt, and Caroline Glick is edging into that field. That bothers the shit out of me.

I could care less about Sarah Palin. And as for whinypants, I submit there are one or two Dems that fit that category.

As for Srbreinca, in the end, Glick is irrelevant.

Speaking of this, I’ve been very impressed with Srebrenica investigations. There’ve been attempts to revise the numbers downwards by fascist-sympathizers, but the DNA analysis really blows all the denier claims out of the water, they’ve already established about 7000 identities or more.

There’s an art to living near a large mall at Christmas time, you have to consider the timing of all travel, and you have to take the right routes. If you do then all goes well. There are several streets near us that have been bumper to bumper 10 mph all day long, but I’ve managed to get around it all pretty deftly in my travels.

Me, too. Especially the way the Stalkers glorify the monsters who murdered those people. To those from other blogs who read these words let me add that:

Yes, some of those Muslims who were murdered were insurgents who had throw away their weapons to try to blend in and escape. Does that justify mass murder? No. The Serbs could have carefully examined the men for rifle bruises and powder residue (which can sometimes be detected with low-yech means) and interned them all until it could be determined who was an insurgent and who was not. But mass murder was clearly over the line and utterly unjustifiable. Thus to describe the Serb leaders who authorized and carried out the Srbrenica Massacre as war criminals is entirely correct.

re: #213 Obdicut

Back in San Francisco, I’d volunteer at a Christian charity place on Christmas, to give the Christians a break. Out here in NYC, it seems that you have to call months ahead to do that. I haven’t found anywhere that needs help on Christmas day, but I did find something to do after the New Year.

That’s great! Heh, yeah, everything is crowded in NYC, even doing charity work. Not that that’s a bad thing!

Nice article on Muslims taking up the torch from Jews in that regard, this year.

Thanks. It was good to see and be able to pass along several positive things today.

re: #212 SanFranciscoZionist

Is that really him?

I am genuinely confused, if so. I became aware of BB when he popped up as a hassler of RS McCain. When he left, I thought it was because he was a passionate defender of Wikileaks.

The stalker blog can’t LIKE Wikileaks, can they? How far can this enemy of my enemy business go?

Yes, it’s him. The posts have the same tone as him. Some the stalkers are also being hassled by a poster who calls himself ‘Metatron’ and hates on Crazy Pam as well as Charles. Some of them think that this new poster is really Gordon (AKA Nodrog).

For all the genie tales, one could learn a lot, especially as it had stories like the story of Tawaddud, which was written especially to instill the details of religious knowledge in common folk.

Nope. Do you recommend?

Nice scopes those guys have, plus plenty of fighting spirit. I think some Taliban just got a “present from Santa” that was so exciting they didn’t survive. All to the good and a merry Christmas to all those fighting for our freedom.

guy in the foreground must be shooting way up hill…if so, it’s a bad location for a base….otherwise, it’s better to pull up on your target than down, with your weapon in the line of sight

The hill tops don’t have enough room for the bases, so the bases are down in the valleys.

Sorry I got distracted for a bit there.

Definitely, if you like fables. They’re sort of like Aesop’s fables, but more…I don’t know what word I’m looking for…maybe more grown up. A lot of them are about the danger of power (as in that of kings) as well as the danger of getting too close to kings.

Another good book is The Conference of the Birds. It’s an allegory of the Sufi spiritual journey—very famous in Iran & Central Asia. I read the prose version, but can’t locate it at the moment. Oh wait—there’s an online version here, but I don’t know if it’s the same one.

Thanks, will definitely take a look. I like stuff like this - Buddhist Jatakas, Jewish Haggadic stories etc.

Once you start reading them, you begin to see a fairly consistent theme running through them, both the spiritual books and the tales/fables. That’s why I think many of us (religious people) don’t really “get” the nature of what we refer to as God. But that’s another discussion. ;o)

You might also like Idries Shah. His teaching stories are really good. He makes you see how faulty your logic often is (often due to making unfounded assumptions). It’s a highly unpleasant, if necessary, revelation. Heh.

If this seems like a familiar trend, consider that it is perhaps because we are more saturated in (extremely skillful) propaganda than we have ever been in our nation’s history. A convinced electorate stands in stark distinction to an informed electorate.

To the point of being spooky. People like Pam and Beck will be the cause of mass violence if we should ever get to that point.

351 CSKapper  Sat, Dec 25, 2010 10:48:35pm

re: #350 Floral Giraffe

That wasn’t criticism, it was a question. That chick is crazy, possibly certifiable. Repeating her rants over here just seems to give her another forum for her madness. I didn’t critique or criticize Charles for posting her madness, I just asked a simple question. Sometimes simple questions have a way of opening up a new way of seeing the world. It’s obviously Charles’ blog and I have a lot of respect for him and I’d never intentionally disrespect him.

Whether you agree or not…I hope my point makes better sense to you now. I hope the holidays treat you and yours well.
