Sharron Angle: Accusing Me of Violent Rhetoric Could Cause Violence

Wingnuts • Views: 27,395

The emergence of Sarah Palin from her bunker has emboldened Nevada’s Sharron Angle to throw her hate (oops! I mean “hat”) into the ring.

Infamous for invoking “Second Amendment remedies” repeatedly in her campaign speeches, Angle now whines that her First Amendment rights are being “infringed upon” — because she’s being criticized.

“Expanding the context of the attack to blame and to infringe upon the people’s Constitutional liberties is both dangerous and ignorant,” she said.

And of course, the other mandatory Palinesque inversion: she also says that criticizing her violent rhetoric could cause violence.

“The irresponsible assignment of blame to me, Sarah Palin or the Tea Party movement by commentators and elected officials puts all who gather to redress grievances in danger.”

All this right wing pretzel logic is starting to give me a headache.

What is dangerous and ignorant is people with no critical thinking skills advocating to others without any critical thinking skills to take up arms.

So… violent rhetoric doesn’t cause violence, but if you accuse someone of using violent rhetoric, that might cause violence?

I feel like i’m taking crazy pills or something.

Someone should explain to Anglethat others have First Amendment rights too.
If you say something vile and ignorant, others have the right to criticize you and your words.

The other thing I find hilarious is that Angle and ESPECIALLY Palin have, repeatedly, used the whole “criticizing me is a violation of my first amendment rights” bullshit without so much as batting an eye. They know about as much about the first amendment as O’Donnell knows about the separation of church and state.

I have never seen so much twisted, convoluted bullshit in all my days…this must be some highwater mark…best scenario is that somewhere in this monumental pileup, the GOP elements that have been the major player, crash and burn…if this all blows by and returns to the status quo, I’m splitting for Jamaica…this whole thing is beyond belief and I’m such a pushover, I’d believe anything….it’s become an epic free for all

The Tea Party is so crazy, reactionary, paranoid, and stupid, that they have managed to self-immolate in the most fantastic possible way, all the way totally convinced that somebody else is doing it to them.

From a psychological perspective, this is absolutely fascinating.

Thank you Harry Reid for saving Nevada and the nation from this woman.

Really, Harry didn’t do so much.

The Republicans would have had that seat, I’m pretty sure, if they had fielded someone who was not Sharron Angle.

The Tea Party, as far as I can see, actively impeded what should otherwise have been a sweep of both houses.

Don’t forget that if their violent rhetoric incites only the mentally disturbed to action it is not their responsibility. And of course, anyone who would be inspired to violence by their rhetoric is, by their definition, mentally disturbed, so they are completely in the clear. So it only follows that criticism of their rhetoric would incite only the sane to violence so that violence is fully the responsibility of the critics.

“These individuals no doubt have a range of relationships to reality, and their ideologies may likewise vary from Tea Party orthodoxy to idiosyncratic conspiracy mania. (One person on the list appears to be a genuine ecoterrorist.) But it’s hard to deny that this seems like a remarkable amount of political violence in a little more than two-and-a-half years. (This impression is bolstered statistically by reports that the Secret Service has had to deal with a 400 percent increase in threats against the president, that U.S. Marshals are facing double the number of threats against judges and prosecutors, and that Capitol Police found that threats against congressmembers tripled in the first quarter of 2010.)”

Except that it’s all hearsay and it means nothing whatsoever.

If they have something to say that has any real meaning, they need to contact the lawyer and tell it in court. Otherwise, everyone should consider it made up for a simple “15 minutes of fame.”

I was an Ayn Rand quoting dbag in high school. Before I figured out what all that shit really meant. You wouldn’t have recognized my politics as the views of the same person by age 22. (I was young, I didn’t know how the political system actually worked. Please forgive me.)

Teenagers have incredibly stupid political ideas, to the extent that they have political ideas at all. This is part of being a teenager. I say this as someone who’s taught high school. When you’re a teen, you see very big-picture, very black and white. You have limited real-world experience. Stuff like Ayn Rand or half-baked communism seems really, really original and important.

Most people get smarter and more nuanced as they get older. Some don’t.

Correct. If one wants a gun in this country, one can get it. Legally or otherwise.

Making it harder only means those who follows the rules have to try harder to get one. Folks who break the rules, couldn’t give a damn about the laws on the books already so more won’t help.

I do not know how to solve this. AND I am not against sensible gun control (classes, waiting period etc) - but none of those things will stop someone from getting basically anything they want. Like the drug war, more rules seems to only make more criminals.

The above is just horrible. If I can’t criticize her points, Sharon Angle has violated my 1st amendment rights. Sigh. Well we get some pretty strange logic from the newly re-energized gun control groups too.

They are looking to re-instate the 10 round limit on magazines.

They admit that this might impact at most only 3% of gun crimes (despite it being a ban that applies to all gun owners), they then use John Lott’s roundly discredited study to support their point. Uh huh.

But that’s all ok because the mass shootings have a bigger impact on our minds. Huh?

Oh and we should listen to then as economists because that makes them expert in gain vs risk numbers.
[Link: www.cnn.com…]

I’d agree banning magazines that increase the factory spec of any gun makes sense. Of course, the very first shot is what hit and could have easily killed Congresswoman Giffords. No mention was made of an exception for law enforcement. Which I would insist on.

The logic is gone. All we have now is excellent care for the wounded, and histrionics from all the usual sources.

Like the politician that said one more gun would have helped, as in shooting the killer. In a frantic crowd? No, the tackling and seizing of the killer was the best possible action to take.

Well, my father did get rather upset last time he bought a new gun, when he found out there was a waiting period. I think he voted for the waiting period, but he didn’t think it meant him.

He also felt that since it was a HISTORIC gun, it should be exempt from the waiting period.

I’m surprised the clerk didn’t call the cops, but I guess if you sell guns, middle-aged men with creative ideas about why they should get to take the gun now are part of a day’s work.

Disruptive Arizona suspect axed from online group

His online chat sessions were available to members of the online gaming group, of which I am a member.

Over a five-month period, Loughner described mental breakdowns and expressed disdain for politicians and other government officials.

“Politicians on tv passing laws … I made fun of them Made them do dirty stuff,” he wrote under the screen name Erad in often incoherent and misspelled posts.

Loughner was apprehended immediately after Saturday’s shootings outside a Tucson shopping mall in which six people were killed and Democratic congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was critically wounded.

He had registered for the group under his real name. Other members of the group, who worked together as a team in the online game Earth Empires, were perplexed by his outbursts.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about 50% of the time,” wrote one member. “Is that rap? cause i’m not a fan of it.”

Loughner joined the online group, Sons of Liberty, in December 2009 and was kicked out in April 2010. He was expelled for joining a rival team in the game, and because group members found his frequently rambling statements disruptive.

CNN contributor Erick Erickson appeared on John King, USA last night for a discussion of inflammatory rhetoric — and, although Erickson criticized comments by various liberals, King never asked Erickson about his own track record of violent rhetoric.
…snip…
At no point in the entire appearance did host John King ask Erickson — or even mention — a single example of inflammatory language used by conservatives. What makes that all the more incredible is that Erick Erickson has famously called former Supreme Court justice David Souter a “goat f—king child molester” and spoken of pulling shotguns on government officials and beating state legislators to a “bloody pulp for being an idiot.”

If a person has been served with divorce papers, it’s illegal to buy or possess any gun in California. (see the fine print on the back of the service papers.)

They can drive a tank, man a rocket battery or pilot an attack helicopter, just no sidearms…

Mr Loughner attempted to buy ammunition at a branch of Wal-Mart, where he was turned down, but went to another branch where he was successful.

The final hours before his alleged attack were described as “busy, packed, even frenetic” by investigators.

The “peace officer”, who primarily enforces hunting regulations but has full powers of arrest, spoke briefly to Mr Loughner and took details of his driving licence, car registration and vehicle insurance.

He radioed colleagues and had the information checked against criminal records. When no outstanding warrants were found for Mr Loughner or his vehicle, he was given a verbal warning and released.

Just 160 minutes later, it is alleged, Mr Loughner arrived at the nearby Safeway supermarket and sprayed bullets at a crowd gathered for an event hosted by Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

“There is some mental anguish with the officer that he was not able to stop this,” said Jim Paxon, a spokesman for the Game and Fish Department.

“But he did everything properly”, Mr Paxon said. “He saw no weapons and had no cause to search the car or detain Mr Loughner. He could just as easily have become the first victim.”

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed yesterday that officers had also responded to calls from the Loughner home but could not confirm when, why or on how many occasions.

Can’t imagine how that officer feels right now.

Gabrielle Giffords showing more signs of improvement, doctor says

Reporting from Tucson and Los Angeles — Rep. Gabrielle Giffords continued to show signs of recovery with “spontaneous movements” such as feeling her wounds and adjusting her hospital gown, Dr. Peter Rhee, head of trauma at University Medical Center in Tucson, said in an interview Wednesday.

“She’s getting better every day, and she’s making more and more spontaneous movements,” he said. “She was able to actually even feel her wounds herself. She can fix her gown. She’s making very specific kinds of movements, so we’re very happy at this point.”

Such movements are occurring, in part, because physicians have greatly decreased the amount of sedation Giffords is receiving.

I’ve never heard of this, and I got divorced in California. Of course our divorce was fairly amicable, we walked into the clerk’s office together and filed without lawyers. Are you sure you’re not thinking of the subjects of active restraining orders?

Vitriolic rhetoric about Muslims does not increase the likelihood of violence.

Vitriolic rhetoric towards libz and Dems does not increase the likelihood of violence.

Violent anti-government rhetoric does not increase the likelihood of violence.

It is only criticism of Palin and Angle that increases the likelihood of violence.

There is no constitutional right to be free of criticism for what you say. If there were, my rights would have been violated every other day on this forum. :-)

Irresponsible assignment of blame to the Tea Party, or to Sarah Palin, puts no one in danger of anything worse than losing an election or a reputation. The danger, such as it is, is mainly to the reputations of those attacked, or those attacking, depending on how well reasoned and based in fact the attack is.

Sharron Angle’s rhetoric had nothing to do with the shooting in Tucson, but it’s irresponsible anyhow.

Human reason is flawed and limited. It is perfectly possible for a sane person to make a glaring mistake at chess. He is more likely to make the mistake if silly maxims such as “advance the pawns nearest your King” are floating around, even if other, sager advice says otherwise.

In the same sense, a person may be sane, but of violent temper and disposed to drastic remedies for imagined ills. There is a spectrum here, and some guys are surely near the edge and could be tipped into action by talk of second amendment remedies. He (she) who incites in carefully weasel-worded language may escape legal responsibility without escaping moral responsibility.

The Tucson incident isn’t an instance of the danger such talk represents, but it’s a reminder that there are other paths to tragedy than outright insanity.

We could, and should, change the laws on insanity, not all the way back to how they were when hundreds of thousands were institutionalized, but some part of the way, to take public safety more seriously.

But we should also soberly back off from heated talk. She should, for starters.

Advocating for violently overturning democratic elections if your side doesn’t get their way should be grounds for being tossed to the curb by your political party — no second chances. Any party that fails to do so deserves any criticism and condemnation that comes their way, particularly after a national tragedy crystallizes in the electorates’ minds the horrible reality of what that extremist rhetoric looks like.

Absolutely amazing. I don’t know much at all about this sort of thing, but I have to assume that the intern who immediately put pressure on the wound is at least in part responsible for how well she’s doing.

That’s probably not going to be true, unfortunately.

A through and through head wound from front to back is not going to damage any major external arteries, and actually may not have bled very much. Had it hit a major internal artery like the anterior or middle cerebral, that would have been quite a gusher, but nothing short of a finger in the brain would have stopped that, and she probably would have bled out at the scene.

How well she’s doing is most likely nothing more than the sheer dumb luck of a bullet being high enough to not hit the basal ganglia or midbrain, and not fragmenting and thus destroying more brain than was in the direct path. Even once she hit the OR, there actually isn’t much more for the neurosurgeons to do than control any bleeding, do a craniotomy to allow room for swelling, remove fragments, and close the ventricles if they’ve been damaged. You can’t stitch brain back together, after all. Then it’s just a matter of watching, managing her vital functions, and waiting.

Given the signs, though, her probability of a near-full recovery sounds, as Dr Rhee said, about 100%, barring any complications such as rebleeds or sudden swelling and herniation. From the sounds of it, her higher functions seem preserved, indicating probably a right-sided wound, and she may well end up with little more than some left-sided deficits and sensory loss.

190 Ming  Wed, Jan 12, 2011 1:17:29pm

It is high time for responsible, adult Republicans to speak up and lead the nation towards a toning down of the political rhetoric. The problem is not limited to Republicans, of course; I don’t remember many liberals rushing to condemn the hate speech of Jeremiah Wright, or Louis Farrakhan. But at this point in time, the majority of the hateful speech does seem to come from the right wing, and it would be wonderful if some Republicans might actually join with the rest of us in saying that rhetoric like “second-amendment remedies” is out of bounds. One thing that would really help is if the cable news networks stop putting people with opposing views in the same studio, give them microphones, and have them have insane, hostile dialogs. Sure, it’s a cheap was to produce TV, but I hardly ever watch the news networks anymore, because it’s so repulsive. No, I don’t want to hear some alternative point of view from Dana Lasch or Erik Erikson or Naomi Wolf. I’m not a psychiatrist, and I’d like some news and journalism, please, not unfriendly arguments.

There’s no way to know whether it did or didn’t, because you can’t re-run the experiement in a world without such rhetoric. Clearly the shooter was exposed to it, because he parroted various talking points. But we can never know if that’s what set him off. It is not possible to acquit or apportion blame. What we DO know is that it makes such things more likely. This we know from looking at the world today, and our history.

Don’t hold your breath. The RW would have to persuade the public that Loughner was sane, for starters, sane enough to cooperate in a plot. But that’s not true, not close to true, and not even a little credible. To top it off, suppose somehow they brought it off, and did convince the public. What then? OK, here’s Kay’s posting about Joe Lieberman again, in all its “glory”. Sorry, folks.

Joe Lieberman The Nazi to go after American Muslims because killing Iraqi children on behalf of Israel is not enough pleasure for him

Have I mentioned lately how much I hate today’s Hitler. Yes, that’s right….I hate Joe Lieberman who would kill every American alive on earth to protect his pasty white Israel. He hates all of us. Oh, I know you’re telling yourself right now, “But Kay! I’m a conservative and I love everything Joe says and does! He obviously loves me and my party and is very loyal to the cause!”, but what you’re missing is he is using you knuckleheads to catapult his hateful agenda against the United States on behalf of Israel. See? He would applaud loudly if you died on behalf of Israel and there’s no telling how he would react if he conspired to kill President Obama either! Oh wait. I know how Joe would react if President Obama was gunned down by Israelis. He would blame Iran, applaud loudly at the idea of Americans dying in Iran for Israel, and then he would hold a press conference telling us “how sad he is to hear of the President’s passing”, you know, as if the President died of a heart attack rather than at the end of a Israeli sniper’s bullet.

See? Hitler hated the Jews and now the Jewish Joe hates all Muslims. I bet Joe is a birther too and believes President Obama is a secret Muslim!

Joe has decided to hold Senate hearings in reaction to the Ford Hood massacre, because the man who fired the gun there and who killed 13 has a funny last name and is Muslim. See? Joe doesn’t care what the FBI or the Army has to say about this! Nope. Joe wants to become the Judge and Jury against ALL MUSLIMS ON BEHALF OF ISRAEL. Of course, when he and Susan Collins of Maine under George Bush were the heads of Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, these two did nothing to hold George Bush and his Mafia Thugs accountable for their actions! Nope. The hearings they did hold were laughable. The two of them would ask the witnesses, “Did you do anything wrong?” and when they heard, “Nope!”, they would bang the gavel down on the table and then say, “Okay! Lunchtime!”. Spit.

GO TO HELL JOE LIEBERMAN! You’re a traitor to all of humanity! Your empty shell of a heart is in Israel………SO MOVE THERE PLEASE AND DON’T COME BACK. The fact you’re trying to drum up anti-Muslim sentiment in this country to satisfy your lust is absolutely disgusting!

The human body is at once fragile and incredibly resilient. I suspect the effects of a gushot wound to the brain comes down to luck in the path taken by the bullet. My wife’s neurosurgeon explained to us that the brain has lots of secondary support for some functions. That is, if you lose a part of the brain that controls X, some other part will take over for it. On the other hand, he said there areas/functions which have no backup. I want to say he called that “elegant structure” but I can’t recall exactly.

re: #191 tnguitarist

How do you know this?

That’s a statement of opinion, of course. But really, think about it. This guy left a long electronic paper trail. From the looks of it, he was incensed that his earlier insane question to Giffords did not receive a respectful answer.

Giffords was as nice as could be about it, sending him a letter thanking him for his interest. Much good it did her. When somebody fixates on you, it can be all but impossible to get the incident to fade into the past. And I speak from experience.

This “paper trail” doesn’t include any quotes or paraphrases of Angle’s talking points. Angle was running against Reid, not Giffords. I’m not aware that she ever mentioned Giffords by name and I assume that if she had, that would have been brought up.

By Ockham’s razor, I therefore more or less know that Angle had nothing to do with it.

I can appreciate it’s a money issue, but I’m also seriously frustrated that we aren’t doing enough to keep dangerous weapons out of the hands of crazy people.

He showed his driver’s license and was given a gun. I guess there’s no waiting period in AZ. Might be a good idea to do a complete background check. That may have shown something.

You know what you have to do to become a lawyer? It’s not just passing the bar. They do a complete background check on you, which is extremely thorough. Outside of the actual test, in Florida, there are 100 questions you have to answer about yourself, including producing documentation such as marriage certificates or divorce decrees. I’d like to see this applied to gun ownership.

In fact, Matt Hale, a white supremacist, who passed the bar was never admitted. He ended up in jail anyway for something else if I recall! But no bar would admit him because of his ties to the KKK.

Why is it Joe Lieberman the Jew can have two home countries but President Obama cannot?

What an interesting development this is. The other day First Lady Michelle Obama was talking to the LGBT community about AIDS testing and talked about how she and Barack on a trip to Kenya took a public AIDS test in his ‘home country’, and now the right wingers are going crazy because they believe the First Lady is admitting that Kenya is President Obama’s home country and that he was not born in America.

Here’s First Lady Michelle Obama….

Now, tell me…why is it okay for Joe Lieberman to have two home countries: America and Israel? Huh? And why is it our American born (in Hawaii) President who had an American mother (born in Kansas) and a Kenyan father (he was also named Barack Hussein Obama) not feel like he has two home countries because that is here heritage and where his bloodline flows?

I’m not going to argue any sort of direct connection, but Sharon Angle did push into the national political dialog the concept using firearms as a fall-back for failing to win elections. Her “second amendment remedies” had wide coverage in both national and local media (as she was running in a tightly contested senatorial election against the majority leader of the opposition party).

Would Loughner still have gone through with his plans if Rep. Giffords hadn’t just narrowly won her reelection campaign against her vitriolic tea party rival? Who knows, but somehow I doubt it.

Well, I have, mostly from African American friends who know me well enough to be sure I won’t mind. But in general, no, it’s not usually a nice way to describe the melanin-challenged.

It is quite possible to criticize specific policies and trends in Israel in a way that doesn’t sound stark raving looney. Kay, please consider narrowing the focus of your ire to policies you don’t agree with.

It’s totally legit to say “I think that the way policy X is being implemented is counterproductive and unwise” or even that “I think political figure Y in Israel is a jerk.”

Having said that, phrases like “killing Iraqi children on behalf of Israel” don’t make any kind of specific case. They just make you look crazy.

Hmmm.

How on earth do you think Israel benefited? Saddam was a more secular state, not a big sponsor of terrorism. The worst he’d ever done was lob a few scuds at Israel during the first Iraq war. Israel has worse enemies all around her. Iraq is now turning into a more religious state, making friends with countries that hate and loath Israel whereas before Iraq was relatively isolated in the Middle East.

Why do you feel that the US acts at the behest of Israel? How are Jews able to control the US?

You know, even after all the crazy and objectively antisemitic stuff you wrote I can kinda hypothesize that your problem is not so much in hatred of all Jews as in your inability to differentiate legitimate rhetoric from bigoted one. Because the way you wrote your postings is the way losers on Stormfront write theirs. I’ve been accused of being part of a grand Zionist-Jewish cabal; that “we” Jews control everything from the media to foreign policy. It’s fun to take a jab at the bigot standing in front of me with the simple question, “So where’s my ZOG check?” or statement “Yeah, next year we’re going to try to infiltrate the water and electric companies.”

370 Lord Baron Viscount Duke Earl Count Planckton  Wed, Jan 12, 2011 2:00:03pm

Well, lookie what I’ve found.

Americans are not stupid. We know a cover-up when we see it. Since the Oklahoma City bombing and 9/11/01, there have been many unanswered questions about these two atrocities and it appears the only answer the FBI and our government will give us is a couple of crumbs and call it good. Well, it’s not good enough. After 9/11/01, the American people demanded to know what actually hit the Pentagon on that fateful morning, because not only was the damage to the building suspect on what created it, but many people said they saw an all white government plane flying around before the Pentagon was hit. To quell the questions Americans were having, Donald Rumsfeld decided to release the “one and only tape” from the grounds of the Pentagon to show Americans that a commercial airliner did indeed hit the building that morning. Here’s the crumb he gave us to watch:

blah blah

The problem is….our government was involved in both of these attacks in one way or another. Dick Cheney on the morning of 9/11/01 created a Shadow Government and said that they (the Bush Regime) had to go to the ‘dark side’. Well, I believe this very violent Shadow Government has been in force for years behind the scenes. In fact, I believe that al-Qaida is the base (al-Qaida means “The Base”) of the Bush Family & Friends, Inc. and is their personal death squad to use to get whatever they want. It’s very interesting that the Bush Regime did away with the Able Danger investigation/program. Why? To this day, we don’t know a damn new thing about al-Qaida either. Again, why? Is it because the players of both are on the payrolls of very important known individuals? Hey, could be. Until proven otherwise, I will continue to believe we’ve been duped for years now.

No. Plenty of lizards opposed/continue to oppose/have come to oppose the war in Iraq. We have a wide range of opinion on the subject here. We even argue, openly and with consideration, about it sometimes.

And yet, we’re all mad at lil’ ol’ you.

Israel has committed war crimes on international waters. They say they were defending themselves. Really? Defending yourself? Sorry Israel but you were the PIRATES boarding another vessel via a helicopter by lowering in one of your soldiers who was armed to the hilt against defenseless people and who started firing when some of the HUMANITARIAN WORKERS FROM TURKEY pushed you! Pushed. You. Yes, that’s right. An unarmed person pushed one of your own and you decided to mow down those on the deck and on the HUMANITARIAN SHIP with gunfire in retaliation!

BE DAMNED ISRAEL! YOUR OWN PARANOIA WILL DESTROY YOU! Let me be the first to say: NOT ONE AMERICAN SOLDIER TO BE PUT ON THE GROUND IN ISRAEL TO DEFEND ISRAEL AFTER THEY’VE COMMITTED THIS WAR CRIME ON INTERNATIONAL WATERS! You’re on your own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait for the highly edited video tape of this incident put out by the propagandists in Israel! What Israel is forgetting is the ORIGINAL tape is already out there and it shows the Israelis as the aggressors and perpetrators of murder on the high seas! Spit.

I just reread my post I did that you’re all talking about and it was an angry post. Wow! I remember how I felt. In our country at that time (which still exists to this moment) there was anti-Muslim rhetoric going on. The Fort Hood shooter was a Muslim (I condemned what he did) and an American, but my response was in reaction to what Collins & Lieberman were about to do and I felt like their hearing was going to fuel more hatred towards one group of people. Do I believe the Holocaust happened? Yes. Do I think it’s bad when Lieberman goes after one group of people (along with Collins who also makes me angry!)? Yes. Do I think it’s hypocritical and another way for him to impress the right wing of this country which I think looks forward to these public attacks on the Muslims? Yes.

Pretty sure we ‘killed Iraqis’ because Iraq was violating UN Security Council Resolutions 687, 688, and 689 on a daily basis for over 12 years. The “big lie” was just a way to get popular support for carrying out the consequences of those violations because the average Joe (with a 30 second attention span and who barely remembers what happened 6 months ago) couldn’t really give a shit less about UN resolutions from over a decade ago.

Also, the restraining order prohibition is not intrinsically related to either California, divorce in California, or divorce in general. Subjects of domestic abuse restraining orders are prohibited from possessing or purchasing firearms as a matter of federal law, 1994’s Violence Against Women Act. Me and my ex opted for a Summary Dissolution of Marriage, cheap and easy. No lawyers, there was no formal hearing before a judge, we walked in together, filed with the clerk, split the fee, waited the requisite amount of time and then petitioned for a final judgment of divorce, all with zero restrictions attached to our freedoms.

More of Kay’s irrational bias against Israel:

I’m telling you right now….I DESPISE, DETEST, AND HATE THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT. I don’t dislike Jews, but I do dislike the Jews that support the Israeli government when it mows down and kills innocent civilians trying to get much needed aid to the Palestinians!

The Palestinian Civilians: USE STONES AND BOTTLES TO WARD OFF ISRAELI AGGRESSION.

The Israelis: USE BOMBS, CHEMICALS, AND GUNS TO WARD OFF UNARMED CIVILIANS.

See the difference? I do. Go ahead and lambaste you all me want for having this opinion, because I can tell you right now, no matter what you say I WILL NOT CHANGE MY MIND. Until Israel starts showing one ounce of compassion I will change my mind. Until then, WE SHOULD STOP GIVING THEM BILLIONS A YEAR WHEN THEY HAVE NUCLEAR BOMBS IN THEIR ARSENAL TO DEFEND THEMSELVES WITH.

NOT ONE AMERICAN SOLDIER SHOULD BE USED OR TO DIE DEFENDING ISRAEL AFTER THIS ATROCIOUS ACT TODAY! I will not support our country defending these spoiled rotten non-compassionate teabagging assholes. Israel is on it’s own!

So Israel should use Nuclear weapons against Hamas? Really? Nuke Gaza!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!

Regarding compassion, Kay has her head far up her ass:

it’s like old racist southerners saying, “he’s very articular for a black man.” oh, but they meant it as a compliment, so it MUST be okay. oh, kay doesn’t hate jews, but she really DOES think someone should nuke israel, and jews all have a secret loyalty to israel that renders them incapable of american patriotism/rational discourse. but that’s OKAY - because kay doesn’t hate jews.

Kay makes the blanket assumption that the Israeli government goes out of its way to murder civilians. Really? I do care about their plight and I applaud the Israeli government for sending them tons upon tons of aid since their own elected government, aka HAMAS doesn’t seem to care.

One way to help build the bridge to peace would be for a)Hamas to recognize Israel’s right to exist, and b)cease rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.

Don’t fall into the trap of assuming I, or anyone else is anti-Palestinian. We know they are human, we know they suffer, and we know that peace is in everyone’s best interest.

civilian casualties are always a tragedy. always. no exceptions. infidel is correct - don’t assume that we’re callous warmongering barbarians.

unfortunately, hamas does less for their own people than israel does. certainly, hamas will provide candy and funding for the families of martyrs, but they’ll also shut down summer camps if those camps don’t adhere to the hamas paradigm. and nevermind the fact that hamas will bulldoze its own citizens’ homes if they believe they are collaborators [and that’s the SWEETEST outcome for a suspected collaborator, by the way].

also - check up on your law. international maritime law vindicates israel’s actions: san remo manual on international law.

YOU care about the israelis who agree with your biased perspective. you’ve openly stated that you don’t give a damn about jews [or israelis, i would surmise] who disagree with you.

But, Helen Thomas is right-on for suggesting that Israelis should not live in their own country?

*laughs*

Kay is right up there with the Israel bashers here in the Bay Area. Full on, chock-full of propaganda. Bias galore.

457 Bubblehead II  Wed, Jan 12, 2011 2:25:47pm

O’Boy, Kay is really a wacked out piece of work.

//Wonder why ol Dick hasn’t had her taken out as well, since she knows so much about is illegal activities.

So, who did Dick Cheney have killed at his command? Here’s a few that I’ve come up with…

The Anthrax Attacks: it was Dick Cheney who gave the order to our military to send out weapons grade anthrax to the liberals in the country after 9/11/01 to make it look like we were attacked because of how liberals are

Bruce Ivins: he’s the microbiologist who worked at Fort Detrick and was accused by the Bush Regime as being the guy who sent out the anthrax, but before he could testify (most likely was going to blow the lid off the investigation by telling the truth…that the order came from Dick Cheney!), he “committed suicide”. No one with a rational mind believes this man killed himself, especially since the neighbors to him said the FBI was in this man’s house for a year or so. Some even said the FBI (or those government looking people I should add) most likely witnessed his “suicide”. Uh ha.

Benazir Bhutto: when she was running for the presidency of Pakistan, she went on television and was recorded listing out the guys who killed Osama bin Laden. A few weeks later, she’s gunned down by a guy who I think looked awfully CIA-ish if you ask me. The one thing Dick Cheney would not want out is the truth about Osama bin Laden, because he was the Boogeyman that kept his ‘waronterra’ alive and if Americans knew that bin Laden had been dead for years, well, that would be an embarassment. She had to go for speaking the truth.

Michael Connell: he was instrumental in helping the Bush Regime steal the 2004 presidential election and right before he was about to testify, his plane crashed killing him. No way would Cheney want Americans to know that George Bush’s 2nd term was bogus and a calculated stolen election!

Paul Wellstone: he was the highly outspoken liberal critic of the Iraq war and before he was able to cast his vote against the illegal invasion of this sovereign country that had nothing to do with 9/11 and everything to do with oil, his plane crashed killing himself, his wife, and his daughter. Cheney doesn’t like anyone speaking truth to power!

From Kay’s blog:

Here’s what Thomas said to a blogger in an interview about the Jews…

Thomas: They should go home!

Nessenoff: Where’s their home?

Thomas: Poland. Germany.

Nessenoff: So you’re saying the Jews should go back to Poland and Germany?

Thomas: And America and everywhere else.

I’m glad Helen Thomas apologized for her comment, because I can see how the feeble minded could be offended by it, but what about the freedom of speech? Is it still alive? Is it possible only the right wingers of America can say whatever they want and not lose their job over it? Seems so. Sad. I wonder how satan feels about this knowing his brownshirts on the ground continue to squash all ‘g-d given liberties’? He’s most likely very happy about it, that is….if you believe in such nonsense!

Got that, if you were offenced by Thomas’ blatant anti-semitism, you’re feeble minded.

FUCK YOU KAY.

I apologize for posting it, because it contains a call to violence. But that’s what Kay wrote. I will understand if this is deleted.

Joe Lieberman would have been fine with the Jews freed after WWII not being fed until Europe was rebuilt

Poor Joe Lieberman. He’s a very confused Jew….or is he? Recently he said out loud that he would not want health care reform until after the recession was over and it got me thinking about where this man’s mind is. Then it occurred to me! Ole Joe would have told the freed Jews during WWII, “Hey! You people will get no food, no health care, no clothing….nuszing!…until the war is completely over and until Europe is rebuilt to her prior glory, okay!!! Now scram!!! No food for you!!!! Get away from me! *beating Jew who wants some food* Stop your begging please!!!”.

[…]

I hate this man with every ounce of my being. If there truly was such a thing as a Death Panel were a group of people sit behind a really tall table and who decide on who lives and who dies, I would hope they would look down at this small tiny miserable man and say, “Stick a fork in him! He’s done!”. Please? Can we have a Joe Lieberman Death Panel and one for the ConservaNazis too? Pretty please? They need to all go. They shouldn’t be allowed to live if all they stand for is killing, torturing, prison camps around the world, and are anti-health-care-reform-for-Americans. The End.

Lots of liberals held the same view as I did when Joe Lieberman was voting the way he was during the Bush Years. My posts were a lot more angrier than theirs. :D

Speaking as a liberal who doesn’t particularly like Joe Lieberman, NO, we didn’t hold your views then and we don’t know. Liberals were angry at Lieberman, but most of us didn’t cross the line into conspiracy theories about Israel or barely coded anti-semitism. Don’t try to hide your views behind the rest of us.
