Gaddafi’s Voluptuous Ukrainian Nurse Bails Out

Tipping point for the Colonel?
World • Views: 46,596

It’s now clear that murderous tyrant Muammar Gaddafi is living on borrowed time. Even his voluptuous blonde Ukrainian nurse is abandoning the Colonel’s sinking ship.

Click to enlargeGalyna Kolotnytska, described in a diplomatic cable published by Wikileaks as a “voluptuous blond” who “travel[s] everywhere” with Col. Gadhafi, called her family in Kiev on Friday to say she intends to return to Ukraine, her daughter told daily Segodnya.

“Mom got in touch yesterday. She said she was now in Tripoli,” Tetyana Kolotnytska said. “She spoke in a calm voice, asked us not to worry and said she’d soon be home.”

And of course I had to googleimage her.

Strangely, Google mostly gives the images of this hot blonde:

It's not her, however. Ukrainian sites have her family photos:

According to the cable from September 2009, contacts in Tripoli told U.S. diplomats that Col. Gadhafi "relies heavily" on Ms. Kolotnytska, then 38, as "she alone 'knows his routine.'"

Uh oh, he's off his routine now.

Wait. That's probably a good thing, for the rest of Libya.

was just ready to post this...good background into Mo's head

"One possibility is to convince him to live the rest of the days in Venezuela," Hamid said. "But he's made it clear he wants to fight to the last drop of blood. I think we can picture Gadhafi doing just that."

re: #14 prairiefire

"When the concubines start leaving, that's not a good sign."

Yeah, but when/if the 40 Amazon guards start leaving, that will really not be a good sign!

"Gaddafi's choice of bodyguards has been the subject of much media attention. His 40-member bodyguard contingent, known as the Amazonian Guard, is entirely female. All women who qualify for duty supposedly must be virgins, and are hand-picked by Gaddafi himself. They are trained in the use of firearms and martial arts at a special academy before entering service."

Translation: "Narrator: When the leader sleeps, the soldier stays awake, and it's the women who do the fighting. Gaddafi trusts his security to ladies only. The head of the Libyan Jamahiriya has a total of 300-400 girls on his security detail. According to the official story, all of them are virgins. Selection is done by Gaddafi himself. This whim has an explanation for it: In ancient times, they believed that the best guards were either virgins or lesbians, the underlying belief being that they could sense threats, the so-called wind of death. The girls were even sterilized to make them more aggressive toward men. There can be different views on these stories, but it was the girls with Kalashnikovs who saved Gaddafis life several times. During the assassination, they shielded him from gunfire and grenades. One died, two others were wounded. The bodyguards are with Gaddafi day and night. Each of them can handle several strong men. According to some sources, most of the girls are Cuban."

re: #24 HappyWarrior

This is Wikipedia on them. I don't know more--sorry. Not much of a Libya expert.

His eldest son, Muhammad al-Gaddafi, was born to a wife now in disfavour, but runs the Libyan Olympic Committee.[150]

The next eldest son, by his second wife Safia, is Saif al-Islam Muammar Al-Gaddafi, who was born in 1972 and is an architect. He runs a charity (GIFCA) which has been involved in negotiating freedom for hostages taken by Islamic militants, especially in the Philippines. In 2006, after sharply criticizing his father's regime, Saif Al-Islam briefly left Libya, reportedly to take on a position in banking outside of the country. He returned to Libya soon after, launching an environment-friendly initiative to teach children how they can help clean up parts of Libya. He is involved in compensation negotiations with Italy and the United States.

The third eldest, Saadi Gaddafi, is married to the daughter of a military commander. Saadi runs the Libyan Football Federation and signed for various professional teams including Italian Serie A team U.C. Sampdoria, although without appearing in first team games.

Gaddafi's fourth son, Moatessem-Billal Gaddafi, was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Libyan Army. He now serves as Libya's National Security Advisor, in which capacity he oversees the nation's National Security Council. His name مُعْتَصِمٌ (بِٱللّٰهِ) /muʿtaṣimu-n (bi l–lāhi)/ can be latinized as Mutassim, Moatessem or Moatessem-Billah. Saif Al-Islam and Moatessem-Billah are both seen as possible successors to their father.[citation needed]

The fifth eldest, Hannibal Muammar Gaddafi, once worked for General National Maritime Transport Company, a company that specializes in Libyan oil exports. He is most notable for being involved in a series of violent incidents throughout Europe.

Gaddafi's two youngest sons are Saif Al Arab (his name means "the sword of the Arabs") and Khamis. Khamis is a police officer in Libya.

This is one of the sons. I think this is the most hilarious photo.

I think the sensationalistic nature of Gawker only perpetuates the stereotypes of transpeople. Not only that but Gawker is mixing transseuxal with crossdresser which are two different things. The hypocrisy factor is relevant but we also should keep in mind that this is Gawker which tends to stretch the truth.

We should add almost as a qualifier to your sentence. While the leadership of the Republican Party is very hostile towards LGBT, the individuals can have other outlooks. Unless Lee had a high enough position in the Republican Party, I don't think it's ok to automatically attach his Party faults to him, unless he had expressed himself this way.

That said, it may be a good explanation on why he quit so quickly. In contrast to Lee's departure, Newt Gingrich, Vitter and others have cheated their wives (and worse) and they were able to keep their positions.

I don't know. Are we supposed to make fun out of him if it's true that he wanted to date a transgendered woman? Perhaps for the inherent hypocricy but I think if its for the former we'd be playing into bigotry. Another thing is the article's title mentions "crossdresser" yet mentions a "pre-op transgender woman" -- which is not the same thing.

We're supposed to make fun of anyone in public life who uses his own real e-mail address and/or his own real photo for something he'd rather not be published.

Meanwhile I found this by Pammy:

Kahane was right, for every Jew a 22.

"David Duke says there should be a chicken in every pot and I agree". Someone who says that is scum, though I, of course, agree with chicken in every pot.

Of I prefer a .38 spl over a .22. Some prefer a 9mm or 10mm.

"Jew--.22" is good sloganeering, poor terminal ballistics.
