Exclusive! Glenn Beck’s Replacement Host Leaked

The best man for the job
Media • Views: 29,555

There’s a lot of speculation on the net today about who will be Glenn Beck’s replacement in Fox’s 5:00 prime time slot. Names that have been suggested include 9/11 Truther Andrew Napolitano, and Birther Donald Trump.

But our sources inside the machine have given us the scoop. Apparently, it wasn’t easy to find someone with as much credibility as Glenn Beck, but after considering all the options, Fox executives will soon announce the host of their new 5:00 show:

Yahoo Serious

Sad thing is, he’d still get better ratings than the MS/NBC stable!

I doubt this is about Fox Cleaning up its act. Beck has burned out his audience. There’s only so much hype and fear most people can take. Also all of his predictions that the end is near, the dollar is collapsing, hyperinflation, etc have all been wrong. Eventually the audience figures out they’re being lied to. They’re just dumping him before his ratings start to get embarrassing and they’re just going to replace him with another nutty liar.

But I’m thinking that he still has a big enough audience to bring viewers to the likes of O’Reilly, without O’Reilly losing any (other than me). After all, Larry King was the flagship of CNN for years and was a total flake when it came to his frequent psychic guests, but it gave him viewers.

Whether you can just keep telling that story or not … we’re not so sure.”

Tim Pawlenty on Dennis Miller’s radio show:
[Link: www.mediaite.com…]

“I think what happens now is that the intelligence folks come in and brief him in the morning and he’s looking for a pair of Depends and so I think he’s in over his head on a lot of levels and a lot of ways and that’s reflect in how he thrashes about and in some ways almost incoherently to these developing security situations.”

[Link: www.politico.com…]

Tim Pawlenty joked Tuesday that President Barack Obama needs to reach for the Depends before launching any drone strikes.

Pawlenty’s crack came during an appearance on Dennis Miller’s radio show, in which he slammed Obama for not being more “forward leaning and aggressive” on national security issues. The way Obama “thrashes about” shows that he’s “in over his head,” Pawlenty said.

Glenn Beck going off the air, Republican governor support falling like a rock, laughable presidential candidates, etc. The right wing is already past their apex, and so soon. Who could have predicted such a thing?

Heh. Who indeed…

I also think the end of the Tea Party is a factor as well. They had a small and brief showing in Wisconsin followed by a rally in dc a few weeks ago that only 200 people showed up for. I don’t really expect the wingnuts to start soul searching until after the election. If the wingnuts go for a government shutdown it could cost them big. Their latest budget didn’t help things either.

As “catholic” terror continues in NI, where is Peter King? Oh right, he thinks that it is okay.

Terrorists blew up a young constable, Ronan Kerr, on Saturday. And while the investigation continues and the police have to bury their colleague, there is little talk of it in American media and assholes like Kerr get away with supporting, philosophically if not financially, terrorism.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop Thanos.

I’m pretty sure the public is going to blame the Republicans for a budget shut down. Their proposed budget is horrible for the poor and the elderly. Their demands aren’t reasonable and it would be irresponsible for the Dems to accept them. The dems are far from perfect but the Republicans are charging over the cliff and it wouldn’t be wise for the rest of the country to follow them.

[Hawaii Department of Health Spokeswoman Janice] Okubo explained that the Health Department went paperless in 2001.

“At that time, all information for births from 1908 (on) was put into electronic files for consistent reporting,” she said.

Information about births is transferred electronically from hospitals to the department.

“The electronic record of the birth is what (the Health Department) now keeps on file in order to provide same-day certified copies at our help window for most requests,” Okubo said.

Asked for more information about the short-form versus long-form birth documents, Okubo said the Health Department “does not have a short-form or long-form certificate.”

“The birth certificate form has been modified over the years and decades to conform to national standards and models,” she said.

Okubo also emphasized the certification form “contains all the information needed by all federal government agencies for transactions requiring a birth certificate.”

She added that the U.S. Supreme Court has recognized the state’s current certification of live birth “as an official birth certificate meeting all federal and other requirements.”

The issue of what constitutes an official Hawaii birth certificate received national attention during last year’s presidential campaign. Those who doubted Barack Obama’s American citizenship called the copy of the Hawaii birth document posted on his campaign Web site a fake.

Asked about that document, Okubo said, “This is the same certified copy everyone receives when they request a birth certificate.”

Glenn Beck predicts imminent revolutionary violence from the Left this summer — just like he did in 2010. And in 2009.

Glenn Beck devoted his show yesterday to predicting another “summer of rage” from the oh-so-violence-prone American Left:

BECK: America, I want to warn you, this is the summer of revolution. Things are going to get worse, and I believe May is going to play a huge role, as will September. [draws breath] Oh, did I say something that I shouldn’t have, socialists and communists? Yes, we’re listening and we’re reading, sometimes right over your shoulder, and you don’t know it.

Funny thing — that’s just what he predicted would happen last summer too! From June 2010:

BECK: America, these guys joined with these guys — the politicians joined with the revolutionaries so they could gain power. Now it is time to break apart — because the summer of rage is about to begin.

And another funny thing: He predicted the same thing in 2009 too:

BECK: Now here is the One Thing that everybody seems to be missing: The extreme Left is actively calling for violence! As world economies go down the tank and unemployment continues to rise, disenfranchised people are set to explode

I’m willing to bet that in six months Beck’s replacement will be as crazy as he is.

I’m probably the only person under 80 who loves sardine sandwiches.

Nope, you are not. I was raised on them.

The “ritual” can’t be too long

Football starts at noon on Sundays!

My think is the ritual should be sort of long. people are so wound upp and rushing around, a relaxed and calm moment without worrying about time can be very spiritual, Very few people can appreciate a moment anymore. There’s no reason to not have a tv around for the game.

Sardines are named after the Island of Sardinia, where they speak Sardo.

You ever have a day where nothing significantly bad happens and nothing significantly good happens but you feel you really need a drink anyway?

I’ve thought for a long time that Catholics should update communion from a ritual meal to a light snack. Wine, bread, cheese, fruit, cold cuts, etc communally shared on a lazy Sunday. It would be more fulfilling on so many different levels.

And some distilled stuff too.

(Where there’s 4 Catholics, there’s a fifth.)

Not so much. My mom (70), my twin (50) and my best friend (49) all would kill for sardines on a bagel. Especially the ones packed in tomato sauce. Me? Blech.
