The look on Martin Bashir’s face is priceless

In Andrew Breitbart’s extremely hostile and combative interview with Martin Bashir, the most newsworthy moment is when Breitbart reveals that he actually believes in the world’s stupidest right wing conspiracy theory — that President Obama’s first book was secretly written by former Weather Underground leader Bill Ayers.

And amazingly, Breitbart even repeats the world’s dumbest “proof” of the conspiracy theory, that Ayers himself admitted he wrote the book.

It’s hard to quantify this level of fail. Ayers, as is blazingly obvious in the video to which Breitbart refers, was making a sarcastic joke — about this very conspiracy theory. He was making fun of people like Breitbart, but they don’t even recognize it. Instead, they idiotically parrot the claim that Ayers “admitted” writing the book. Absolutely stunning.

Before this, I thought Andrew Breitbart was a fairly smart guy; a totally unscrupulous con artist, but not stupid. It turns out he really is as dense as Jim Hoft.

Defamation lawsuits are notoriously difficult to win, but if this is how Breitbart intends to defend himself against Shirley Sherrod, she just might do it.

 Frank says:

The manner in which Americans "consume" music has a lot to do with leaving it on their coffee tables, or using it as wallpaper for their lifestyles, like the score of a movie -- it's consumed that way without any regard for how and why it was made. -- From "The Real Frank Zappa Book" (ch. 11)
