In other words, the entire Republican Party

President Obama kicked the right wing hornet’s nest again today, with a long overdue jab at ‘climate change deniers’.

“There are climate change deniers in Congress and when the economy gets tough, sometimes environmental issues drop from people’s radar screens,” Obama continued, speaking at the home of Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff.

“But I don’t think there’s any doubt that unless we are able to move forward in a serious way on clean energy, that we’re putting our children and our grandchildren at risk,” Obama added.

Now he’s done it; expect the right wing to start screaming that Obama is comparing them to “Holocaust deniers.” This is the phony outrage talking point that’s inevitably regurgitated when someone criticizes their anti-science lunacy by using the word “denial.”

 Frank says:

I was writing all kinds of positive and negative canons and weird inverted this and retrograde that and getting as spaced-out mathematically as I could and I was going "Wait a minute (laughs), who cares about that stuff?" I had always liked rhythm and blues so here I was stuck between the slide rule and the gut bucket somewhere and I decided that I would opt for a third road someplace in between. -- From an 1972 interview to Martin Perlich.
