Corsi: Still Trying to Work the Birther Angle

A good scam never dies
Wingnuts • Views: 43,699

Would you believe that Weird Nut Daily writer Jerome Corsi is still trying to work the Birther angle? Today he got into a battle of wits with Donald Trump over an idiotic point that isn’t even worth describing: Trump: Birther Jerome Corsi Got it Wrong.

It looks like these cretins are still relying on the ridiculous misunderstanding of scanned PDF files that I debunked in this post: PDF Documents, OCR, and Conspiracy Theories.

In the right wing’s memetic echo chamber, a good scam never dies; it mummifies into an article of faith.

For some reason this particular line resonates with me in regards to a line from Discworld…

`Around the Godde there forms a Shelle of prayers and Ceremonies and Buildings and Priestes and Authority, until at Last the Godde Dies. Ande this maye notte be noticed.’

Well, Serbia did catch Ratko Mladic today.

Birtherism isn’t going anywhere, it just lost its megaphone for awhile. None of the GOP candidates will openly pimp it, but don’t be surprised to see plenty of “Where’s The Birth Certificate?” t-shirts and banners at GOP rallies from here to Election Day.

Quick OT.

Pawlenty finally answered the question.

He’d sign the Ryan budget.

Yeah, he declares that the day after it gets shot down in the Senate. Whoop de shit.

I slightly disagree. You’ll see it in subterranean form, yes, but the t-shirts are likely gone, if only because Obama did indeed release the birth certificate. After that, open birtherism has become a lot more crazy-seeming. So while birtherism may remain on the blogosphere, it’s gone from Fox News and public rallies.

Twilight Zone time:

Barrett Brown is Anonymous

From a tiny Uptown apartment he’s organizing a worldwide collective of hackers that brought down HBGary and helped overthrow the government of Tunisia.

Mr Brown is a real life Forrest Gump, at the center of everything- as he makes clear in the article.

I kind of have the impression that we’re gonna have more of that rather than less over the next few years. They’re feeling cornered.

Right before they shot down Obama’s budget. And the budget that is ultimately passed id going to look more like Ryan’s and less like Obama’s.

You think its’ going to end medicare and replace it with a voucher system?

Dark, consider we’re talking about people who dress in mock 18th-century clothing, hang tea bags from their hats, and carry around signs depicting Obama as Hitler/Lenin/Stalin/etc. Continuing to believe in birtherism, in spite of the “long form” being released, is not that much of a stretch.

Brown was part of what he calls “an elite team of pranksters” that did whatever they could to make people miserable on Second Life. They developed a weapon that propagated giant Marios until certain areas of the online universe crashed. They would go into a concert and produce a loud screaming that no one could stop. They went into nightclubs for furries, people who get off by wearing animal costumes, and hassled them.

A seamless segue into his present activities.

I find that very doubtful. The Ryan Plan’s poll numbers were absolutely toxic, even before it was voted upon in the House. Anything that combines any form of entitlement privatization (‘cuse me, “reform”) and tax cuts is DOA in the Senate.

re: #19 Obdicut

You think its’ going to end medicare and replace it with a voucher system?

No, but it will cut the deficit, while Obama’s plan would have increased it.

re: #26 Dark_Falcon

No, but it will cut the deficit, while Obama’s plan would have increased it.

Ryan’s plan would have also increased the deficit.

And the main, staggeringly significant component of Ryan’s budget was ending medicare replacing it with vouchers.

That isn’t going to happen. So you’re wrong.

re: #32 Dark_Falcon

The deficit.

You and I are not going to agree on this any time soon so let me just say, we’re still in the middle of a recession, so in my eyes worrying about the deficit now is like worrying about how someone who has just been shot has hepatitis B. IE: “Yes its a good thing that he’s loosing all that blood because it was infected!”

I believe in primer push (when the economy is shaky the government should spend like their is no tommorow with emphasis put on infrastructure and other things that help everyone) you believe in Trickle Down (you do believe in that don’t you Dark if you don’t then I’m sorry for the mistake) and I don’t think either of us is likely to convert the other on that score any time soon.

now the others in the primary will have to ante up and agree that they will support the ryan plan. i don’t understand how the majority of elected republicans don’t realize that this is a losing strategy.

As someone who was involved in the development of “Carousel” (Acrobat 1 and 2), I find this highly amusing.
As a side note: When we put out the first New York Times insert ad for Adobe Reader, there was an office floor map. My daughter (9 at the time) was the name used for the CEO’s office.

I realize I’m a little late to this thread, but it’s worth pointing out that the book is still doing quite well, #59 on Amazon.com and 535 on Kindle at the moment. I was just at Book Expo America, and a blow-up of the cover was on prominent display at the publisher’s booth. They seem to be hyping it as if nothing happened.
