If I gave Sarah Palin a quarter for the mechanical horsey, would she do me a favor and ride off into the sunset? Like, forever?

2 Obdicut  Tue, Jun 7, 2011 3:07:21pm

This is actually the first time I've heard her defense of her statement.

It's goddamn ridiculous.

Too bad Colbert didn't give LGF credit for the wiki-edit story.

They don't have those things called sunsets in Alaska, but maybe she could ride it to Russia.

Only til the quarter ran out, then she'd be back for more. If I thought giving her money would make her disappear for good, I'd empty out my bank account to make it happen that much faster. But no, it looks like she intends to milk this for all she can, whether that be until 2014 (if the Senate run rumors are true) or 2016 (when she finally decides to make a presidential run).

5 Four More Beers  Tue, Jun 7, 2011 3:13:19pm

I was listening to Rush today, and he said Sarah probably heard the "warning the British" at the museum from a tour guide. Seriously.

6 Four More Beers  Tue, Jun 7, 2011 3:16:49pm

Sarah Palin: World Record for extending fifteen minutes past what was thought humanly possible.

7 sod  Tue, Jun 7, 2011 3:17:39pm

That's the first time I've actually seen the those Palin clips, previously only read the transcripts, which really don't do them justice.

She is to the campaign trail what those really bad auditions are to So You Think You Can Dance. You watch, you cringe, and then you wonder what the hell made them do it to begin with.

Good god, what a dunce.

This is what pisses me off...not that she got it wrong, not that she is trying to cover her ass. The fact that anyone could have heard what she said and how she said it and not immediately realize that she was talking out of her ass is what makes me crazy about this story.

Agreed, though it doesn't piss me off because reasonable-thinking people (yes, there are some still out there; you may need a microscope) can see through the bullshit. And Hannity, et al have all covered for her. It's got to be tiring to defend this gaffe magnet.

This is too funny. Earlier I was exchanging pleasantries with Breitbart goon Adam Baldwin, and he kept writing things like this:

@Lizardoid Ur craven failure to link to Ur favorite 'epiphany' post is noted.

So I responded:

Who's this "Ur" you keep talking about?

And now there's a wingnut ranting at me:

@Lizardoid @adamsbaldwin is Charles so dumb he doesn't know that "ur" is an abbreviation of "you are"? Does HE know how to "Google"? #liar

I'm dyin' over here! Humorless wingnuts are the best.
