Half-Governor Palin Quits Half-Finished Bus Tour

Not a joke
Wingnuts • Views: 32,286

Sarah Palin’s amazingly gaffe-tastic bus tour of the East Coast is apparently going the same way as her governorship: Palin Bus Tour Takes Extended Pit Stop.

Though Palin and her staff never announced a timeline for the remaining legs of her trip, aides had drafted preliminary itineraries that would have taken her through the Midwest and Southeast at some point this month. But those travel blueprints are now in limbo, RCP has learned, as Palin and her family have reverted to the friendly confines of summertime Alaska, where the skies are currently alight for over 19 hours a day and the Bristol Bay salmon fishing season is nearing its peak.

As Palin enjoys her sojourn to the 49th state, she has not reconnected with key early-state figures like Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and she may have jeopardized whatever political momentum she gained from her recent reemergence in the 2012 discussion. Her political action committee’s website still greets visitors with a stale banner, announcing the nationwide bus tour beginning “[t]his Sunday, May 29th.”

More than a few of Palin’s core supporters have grown impatient and confused about her strategy, venting their frustration on Internet fan sites.

We were just discussing Parkour.

If you quit halfway through a move on Parkour, you are in big trouble.

I wonder what they'll do with her tour bus...

Maybe we could turn it into some sort of Liberal Hell House?!?

And with that Sarah's position as a serious contender for the Republican nomination ends.

The only undeclared I'll keep watching is Perry, and he's basically got two weeks. I'd say one, but we're close enough to the 4th of July he might try to use that as a springboard. If he's not in by then, however, he's not really running.

The only declareds I think have a chance are Romney, Bachmann, and Cain. The latter two's possibilities rely on the size and determination of the anti-Romney (Tea Party Plus) contingent within the party.

Heckuva race when the key criteria is "who do you dislike the least," not "who do you support."

I said it before several times (in posts here), she has no serious intention to run and will not, it is too much hard work. This has been nothing but a publicity stunt meant to keep her name in the news, exactly the same as Trump did.

Palin has done nothing but take advantage of her supporters and laugh all the way to the bank with their donations.

I didn't, snowmobiles are expensive to maintain (plus all the specialized clothing and gear) and skiiing is also kinda spendy if you have to travel to Girdwood to get to the real slopes. Most real "Alaskans" (cheap) spend the seven months of winter sealed up in their homes becoming gradually more depressed. However the bowling alleys manage to do a landsale business during winter, the leagues are gigantic...

"The Paris metropolitan district (Île-de-France) is the region that accounts for the largest number of at-risk. Indeed, nearly 56% of all newborns in this area in 2007 had at least one parent originated from a region defined as "at-risk" and were screened for SCD. The second largest number of at-risk is in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur at nearly 42% and the lowest number is in Brittany at 4.40%.[32]"

Probably Palin found out that if indeed bus was funded by SarahPAC, that it could well be construed as income by the IRS for her tax return. Which brings me to maybe the Best 5 Ways to Tick Off Sarah Palin--
1. When you see her coming, run like Hell to get as far away from her as possible. Principle of Non-engagement (Also, safest way to deal with a sociopath, or so I've read).
2. Ignore her. Variation of number 1. (Also, does not provide a narcissistic person with either negative or positive supply, or so I've read).
3. Let her hang herself with her own rope.
4. Ask her questions in unscripted situations. Variation of number 3.
5. Get her in the pocketbook. (See my initial comment).

From the wiki:

Sickle-cell disease, usually presenting in childhood, occurs more commonly in people (or their descendants) from parts of tropical and sub-tropical regions where malaria is or was common. One-third of all indigenous inhabitants of Sub-Saharan Africa carry the gene,[2] because in areas where malaria is common, there is a fitness benefit in carrying only a single sickle-cell gene (sickle cell trait). Those with only one of the two alleles of the sickle-cell disease, while not more resistant, are more tolerant of infection and thus show less severe symptoms when infected.[3]

I think this is mostly about who is giving birth in France right now. France is officially color-blind (it doesn't track race or ethnicity), but it still uses national origin for things like SSD screening. So 57% of newborns in the paris metro areas have at least one parent who is from an area that the french define as having a large number carriers. Basically anywhere where there a lot of black people.

Now, now. Sarah just had jury duty. That explains it all.

Late Wednesday, she posted on her Facebook page that she had been called for jury duty and suggested that was one reason why the second leg of her bus tour hadn’t occurred.

Oh yeah, and she's just gone fishin':

In the meantime, Palin is in Alaska enjoying what she has described on her reality TV show, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” as her family’s favorite time of year. This is when the Palins typically travel north for an annual salmon fishing trip to Bristol Bay.

[Link: www.washingtonpost.com...]

70 wheat-dogghazi  Thu, Jun 23, 2011 8:24:28am

I heard that Sarah claims she has jury duty. From her Facebook page:

"The coming weeks are tight because civic duty calls (like most everyone else, even former governors get called up for jury duty) and I look forward to doing my part just like every other Alaskan.”

She'll probably weasel out of jury duty, too. Just wait.
