Palin Bailin’ on Sudan Trip with Graham
Sarah Palin is bailin’ again, canceling a trip to Sudan with Muslim-hating preacher Franklin Graham at the last minute.
(CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin canceled a July trip to Sudan due to “scheduling problems,” a source with knowledge of the trip confirmed to CNN Thursday.
Palin was scheduled to travel to the southern part of the war-savaged country with Franklin Graham, son of evangelical leader Billy Graham, to attend the July 9 independence ceremony, information she first told a London newspaper earlier this month.
“She is not going to Sudan due to scheduling problems,” said the source, who would not speak on the record because Palin’s travel itinerary is considered private.
Palin also explained today (on her Facebook page) why her Magical History Bus Tour is on hiatus: she has jury duty.
Palin took to her Facebook page to spread the truth: she has jury duty.
In a post titled,”*Sigh* Reports of Tour Demise Are Greatly Exaggerated,”she appeared to reassure readers that there’s plenty of time for more travel, saying, “the summer is long.”“The coming weeks are tight because civic duty calls (like most everyone else, even former governors get called up for jury duty),” Palin revealed.
But she’s “looking forward to hitting the open road again” and declared, “The next leg of the tour continues when the time comes.”
