Well, this bit seems kind of nonsensical:
Just a few months after lawmakers scolded auto executives for flying to Washington in private jets, Congress approved a tax break in the stimulus package to help businesses buy their own planes.
I think the "scolding" was due to the fact they were about to get a bailout and flying in private jets was probably more than a little tone deaf. If a business can afford to buy a private jet out of the profits that it makes, well, that's the way a market economy works, whether you agree with it or not. And I'm sure the guys on the private jet assembly line appreciate every plane order they get.
Point is, I'm not sure what the first half of that sentence I quoted has to do with the second half.

My daughter had quite a scare at work the other day. She works at a snowball stand, and she was working alone.
There's some guy, in his 50's, who comes every day to have a snoball, and he talks to her. Well, he started trying to get her to go out with him; she got rattled and shut down the snoball stand, then she heard someone turning the doorknob like they were trying to get in, and she really freaked out.
She hit the alarm, called the owner then called home, in total hysterics. The Roi was listening on the other phone while she tried to tell me what was going on and he tore out of here; he and the owner and the cops all showed up at the same time.
It turned out that the person trying to open the door was a regular delivery person, but my daughter didn't know it because she had shuttered the serving window and couldn't see out; and this happening right after the old guy tried to talk her into going out with him just rattled her completely. I hope I NEVER again in my lifetime have to hear that sort of panic in her voice.

Well kids, RWC's gonna BBQ me a nice bloody rare steak, saute me some fresh spinach and onions and he bought a real nice bottle of wine as well as a chocolate cake for desert so if I want to keep from gaining any more weight from this meal I'd better go swim some laps. *sigh* That's gotta be at least 30 laps to keep the pounds from stickin!*sigh* Type to you all later!
