Has anyone else noticed that the Fox News “community site,” Fox Nation, has turned into a den of racism indistinguishable from the worst neo-Nazi hate sites?

Today they posted an article from the Washington Times on the ATF “Fast and Furious” scandal (which I strongly suspect will turn out to be another fake or overblown right wing outrage), and the Fox News audience reacted like this:

Interesting...the chimp fires near their feet but there isn't any dirt kicked up by the shots...I'm guessing this is staged, in which case I'd say it acts better than Rambo(Sylvester Stallone). I think I read that somewhere. He couldn't understand what anyone would see in Edward and thinks Meyer is crazy. He was quoted somewhere that the first book reads like a bad fantasy that wasn't meant to be published and that she's in love with the fictional character of Edward.

This morning I was awoken by my alarm clock powered by electricity generated by the public power monopoly regulated by the US Department of Energy. I then took a shower in the clean water provided by the municipal water supply. After that, I turned the TV to one of the FCC regulated channels to see what the National Weather Service of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration determined what the weather was going to be like using satellites designed, built, and launched by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. I watched this while eating my breakfast of US Department of Agriculture inspected food and taking drugs which have been determined as safe by the Food and Drug Administration.

At the appropriate time as regulated by the US Congress and kept accurate by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the US Naval Observatory, I get into my National Highway Traffic Safety Administration approved automobile and set out to work on the roads built by local, state, and federal Departments of Transportation, possibly stopping to purchase additional fuel of a quality level determined by the Environmental Protection agency, using legal tender issued by the Federal Reserve Bank. On the way out the door I deposit any mail I have to be sent out via the US Postal Service and drop the kids off at the public school.

After work, I drive my NHTSA car back home on the DOT roads, to a house which has not burned down in my absence because of the state and local building codes and Fire Marshal inspection, and which has not been plundered of all its valuables thanks to the local police department.

I then log onto the internet which was developed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Administration and post on freerepublic.com and Fox News forums about how SOCIALISM in medicine is BAD because the Government can't do anything right.

The first several launches were A Big Deal, and launch coverage pre-empted TV shows. I wrote to NASA and demanded (like any self-respecting 7 year old who had Star Wars Derangement Syndrome) that they send me all possible information about the space shuttle. I don't remember exactly what I asked for, but I probably asked for everything up to and including serial numbers of the individual parts, along with complete dossiers of everyone who had anything to do with the program.

Some time later, I received a huuuuuuuuuge pack of stuff from NASA, which I still have (somewhere). It had eleventy-seven 8x10 photos of everything from the shuttle itself to the launch pad, the crew photos, all kinds of stuff. Publications out the wazoo, some NASA logo decals, and other random stuff. It probably consisted of every press kit they had available at the time. I took it to school and lorded it over the other kids who weren't cool enough to get NASA stuff in the mail.

My cap is off to those guys. I would have gotten halfway through those stories and dug my eyes outta my head with a spoon.

Slacktivist is still going, currently on "Tribulation Force".

I comment over there sometimes. It's hilarious.

Also, the books are being flayed by a devout Evangelical (who refers to "Left Behind" as 'pulp heresy'), so he knows what he's looking at as he lights it up. Very funny and informative.

I think I read that somewhere. He couldn't understand what anyone would see in Edward and thinks Meyer is crazy. He was quoted somewhere that the first book reads like a bad fantasy that wasn't meant to be published and that she's in love with the fictional character of Edward.
