Seven Killed in Oslo Bomb Attack
At least 7 people are reported dead in a pair of massive explosions apparently targeting Norwegian government buildings in Oslo.
The tangled wreckage of a vehicle was seen near the Norwegian government building that was targeted in the blast, officials said. It was not clear if the car was a bomb vehicle or near the site of a blast. At least one explosion was the result of a massive vehicle bomb, U.S. government sources on the scene said.
Norwegian news reported at least two people were killed and several more were injured. A group called Helpers of the Global Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack in a posting on a jihadi online forum, but intelligence officials said they are examining several groups as possible suspects in the attack.
There has also been a shooting attack at a Labour Party youth camp outside Oslo; authorities believe it’s connected to the Oslo bombing.
