Manifesto, p. 1265
Creating a European database – the mapping of category A and B traitors
The individual mapping of cultural Marxist/multiculturalist category A and B traitors through Facebook cooperation should be a prioritised task.
Create national/pan-European Facebook groups (perhaps affiliated to a site not affiliated with Facebook (and hosted in Antigua or another tax/law-haven) with the intention of creating a database over all known cultural Marxist category A and B traitors. It is essential that you conceal this group by making the group as “innocent looking” as possible and the group(s) MUST NOT reveal its true intent, as this will violate the Facebook guidelines. One example is using a known legal and accepted template and perhaps even making it slightly more innocent looking – such as the AIM Facebook group:
AIM – Americans for the Impeachment of Marxists (in our case: Europeans for the Impeachment of Marxists)

WSJ: Bruce Bawer -[Link: online.wsj.com...]
It came as stunning news that Norway had been attacked by a blond, blue-eyed, anti-Islamic terrorist. It should not have been: Several of us who have written about the rise of Islam in Europe have warned that the failure of mainstream political leaders to responsibly address the attendant challenges would result in the emergence of extremists like Breivik.
What an asshole.
But I was stunned to discover on Saturday that Breivik was a reader of my own work, including my book "While Europe Slept: How Radical Islam Is Destroying the West from Within." In comments posted in 2009 on a Norwegian blog, document.no, Breivik expressed admiration for my writings, but criticized me for not being a cultural conservative (although he was pleased that I was not a Marxist, either).Later on Saturday came news of a 1,500-page manifesto, entitled "2083: A European Declaration of Independence," that Breivik had recently written and posted online. The first half, in which he indicts the European cultural elite for permitting Islam to take root in Europe, makes it clear that he is both highly intelligent and very well read in European history and the history of modern ideas.
Not sure it was Bawer's intent, but I almost read ideological approval there.
In the second half he describes himself as having revived the Knights Templar. He also outlines in extreme detail how he and his fellow anti-jihadists can acquire weapons, ammunition and body armor and thereupon proceed to use "terror as a method for waking up the masses" to the danger posed by Islam. This makes it clear he is completely insane. In his manifesto, which is written in such good English that one wonders whether he had the assistance of a native speaker, Breivik quotes approvingly and at length from my work, mentioning my name 22 times. It is chilling to think that blog entries that I composed in my home in west Oslo over the past couple of years were being read and copied out by this future mass-murderer in his home in west Oslo.
It is also chilling to see the way he moves from a legitimate concern about genuine problems to an unspeakably evil "solution." In bombing those government buildings and hunting down those campers, Breivik was not taking out people randomly. He considered the Labor Party, Norway's dominant party since World War II, responsible for policies that are leading to the Islamization of Europe—and thus guilty of treason.
...
During the hours when I thought that Oslo had been attacked by jihadists, I wept for the city that has been my home for many years. And I hoped Norwegian leaders would respond to this act of violence by taking a more responsible approach to the problems they face in connection with Islam. When it emerged that these acts of terror were the work of a native Norwegian who thought he was striking a blow against jihadism and its enablers, it was immediately clear to me that his violence will deal a heavy blow to an urgent cause.
And then he goes on to write about why Europe really should be terrified of Muslims. He closes by again whining about how Breivik is undermining his cause:
But this cause has been seriously damaged by Anders Behring Breivik. In Norway, to speak negatively about any aspect of the Muslim faith has always been a touchy matter, inviting charges of "Islamophobia" and racism. It will, I fear, be a great deal more difficult to broach these issues now that this murderous madman has become the poster boy for the criticism of Islam.
Bawer seemed to not be too happy with his anti-jihad movement cozying up to Belgium’s Vlaams Belang, as can be seen in this LGF 2009 reprint of a post of his:
[Link: littlegreenfootballs.com...]
But he makes no mention of any of that in his awful editorial.

More Bruce Bawer whining about the "tragedy" to his anti-jihad movement:
Pajama's Media: A Double Tragedy for Norway
Yesterday’s events, then, represent a double tragedy for Norway. Not only has it lost almost one hundred people, including dozens of young people, in a senseless rampage of violence. But I fear that legitimate criticism of Islam, which remains a very real threat to freedom in Norway and the West, has been profoundly discredited, in the eyes of many Norwegians, by association with this murderous lunatic.
Nice rhetoric there, constructing the political repercussions as one half of the "double tragedy," the other being a terrorist's massacre. /// I hardly know anything about Bruce Bawer, but based on glancing at this and some of his other Pajamas Media articles, yeah... he kind of a dick.

WSJ: Bruce Bawer -[Link: online.wsj.com...]
What an asshole.
Not sure it was Bawer's intent, but I almost read ideological approval there.
And then he goes on to write about why Europe really should be terrified of Muslims. He closes by again whining about how Breivik is undermining his cause:
Bawer seemed to not be too happy with his anti-jihad movement cozying up to Belgium’s Vlaams Belang, as can be seen in this LGF 2009 reprint of a post of his:
[Link: littlegreenfootballs.com...]But he makes no mention of any of that in his awful editorial.
My dear Bruce, if you criticize the negative aspects of Islam, as well as political Islam, in a responsible way, without trying to demonize and overgeneralize, I'm sure only marginals will compare you to Breivik. But "counter-Jihad" movement is not about countering Jihad, it's about demonizing an average Muslim.

Wall Street Futures, U.S. Dollar Drop With No Deal In Place
Bummer
A deal will be made mid to end of week now that Boehner and McConnel have convinced Reid to sit in on the talks.
It won;t be the deal the President wants (raise the debt ceiling ,,, raise taxes on "the rich",, small cuts in the percentage of spending increases) and it won;t be the deal Boehner wants (no tax increses) but somewhere in the middle, as I stated a 10 days or so ago

Porblem is, there are several schools of thought of how to get this done in the republican party
There is only one school of thought with the dems, and that "plan" won't do anything to cut down on the deficit
(raise the ceiling ,,, raise taxes on the rich ,, no substantive cuts, especially in entitlement programs)
You could tax every "rich" person at a 90% rate and it wouldn't make a dent!

Good article at Jezebel-- looks like the Norway bomber/shooter had some trouble with the wimmens:
Norway Terrorist Deeply Upset by Sluts
Alleged attacker Anders Behring Breivik writes,
Approximately 50% of my female friends end up under the definition/category; promiscuous (female sluts) as they have engaged in sexual activity with more than 20 partners.
A majority of them have been infected with one or more sexually transmitted diseases – so called STDs such as herpes, chlamydia etc. A promiscuous lifestyle is glorified by the media through series such as Sex and the City and artists such as Madonna, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera and a multitude of other much nastier artists. The boundaries are gradually deteriorating as this development is allowed to continue."
Twenty partners? Perish the thought.
He laments the spread of STD's among his female relatives, including his sister (who has had sex with approximately 15 Chippendales strippers, according to the oddly specific manifesto) and mother. Freud would have a field day with this guy.
His slutty male friends also caused him a great deal of grief.
Although I have had a change of mentality a majority of my friends have not. My stepfather Tore, one of my best friends Marius and my more distant friends Kristoffer, Sturla and Ronny are all living manifestations of the complete breakdown of sexual moral. All five have had more than 300 sexual partners (two of them more than 700) and I know for a fact that three of them have one or more STDs (probably all of them). I have several other promiscuous (slut) friends and I could list at least 30 male and females in my social environment if I wanted to. I don't blame them personally and it has absolutely nothing to do with envy. I could easily have chosen the same path if I wanted to, due to my looks, status, resourcefulness and charm.
Breivik believes that part of the moral breakdown of recent years can be blamed on women gaining too much power.
Females have a significantly higher proportion of erotic capital than males due to biological differences (men have significantly more prevalent sexual urges than females and are thus easily manipulated). The female manipulation of males has been institutionalised during the last decades and is a partial cause of the feminisation of men in Europe. This highly underestimated factor has contributed to the creation and rise of the matriarchal systems which are now dominating Western European countries. European women, in light of the feminist revolution, are now considerably more influential than men due to the sum of all forms of capital.

If [Breivik] had gotten a little sex, and even someone to be a girlfriend of (his), they would never turn out massacres in the first place. Sex and the lack of it is central force to keep young men going. If young men miss the sexual activity, the mind starts to fill with these obsession of growing suffering of own awful existence to wider scale on surrounding society.

When the Jonestown Massacre happened; it was the most horrible, yet interesting news story I'd ever heard of. I was sixteen and completely immersed myself in every sordid detail I could find on it. The whole thing fascinated me.
Didn't put me in counseling or anything, but it warped me (a little more).

re: #192 Fat Bastard Vegetarian
In his monumental study on German occupation policy in Belorussia, Christian Gerlach presents a most disturbing account of the mind-set of a seemingly committed lower-ranking perpetrator, based on letters from police secretary Walter Mattner from Vienna to his wife written on the occassion of the mass murder in Mogilev in early October 1941. On his direct involvement in the shooting, Mattner wrote:
When the first truckload [of victims] arrived my hand was slightly trembling when shooting, but one gets used to this. When the tenth load arrived I was already aiming more calmly and shot securely at the many women, children, and infants. Considering that I too have two infants at home, with whom these hordes would do the same, if not ten times worse. The death we gave to them was a nice, quick death compared with the hellish torture of thousands upon thousands in the dungeons of the GPU. Infants were flying in a wide circle through the air and we shot them down still in flight, before they fell into the pit and into the water. Let's get rid of this scum that tossed all of Europe into the war and is still agitating in America. ... I am actually already looking forward, and many say here that after our return home, then it will be the turn of our own Jews. Well, I'm not allowed to tell you enough.
Juergen Matthaeus in Browning, "The Origins of the Final Solution", p. 298. (In the endnote Matthaeus writes that in "1947 and 1964 Mattner's case was investigated by Viennese courts, but it did not end in a conviction...")

I started the early stage of the planning phase (financing the operation) around 2002 by developing a company from scratch: Anders Behring Breivik ENK later converted to E-Commerce Group AS. During the next years I had a total of 7 employees in five different countries: 1 person in the US, 2 in Russia, 1 in Romania, 1 in Indonesia and 2 in Norway. From year 2002 to 2006 I made approximately 4 million NOK. The business concept was the outsourcing of programming services to clients in the US and Europe by using labour in Indonesia, Russia and Romania. The products ranged from web sites to advanced software solutions.

He was a super zionist, I believe, in that he really supported Israel as a monocultural place for all the Jews to go to and not intermix with white people.
Well, you know, Streicher also pretended he was kinda "Zionist":
A. I always stood for the Zionist opinion. I will only
mention here Theodore Herzl, who was one of the most famous
leaders of the Jews, and he wrote in his diary that you will
find anti-Semitism everywhere. That is, you will find it in
all those countries where Jews were present; and wherever
Jews were settling to, anti-Semitism would rise there.Q. But what were you going to do?
A. Like him, I advocated a National State for the Jews. It
is interesting here that Herzl does not object to the racial
question. He recognized the Jews as a separate state. The
English Government was petitioned in the last war, and again
in this war, and Mr. Churchill knows all that, that a
certain part of Palestine was to be set apart, as an area
for the Jews. Who was that English statesman in the last war
-- it was not Lloyd-George -- oh, yes, I remember, it was
Balfour. He made a declaration wherein he promised at the
end of the war negotiations should be started, and the aim
of these negotiations should be that the Jews were to
receive an autonomous state in Palestine. Thus it was to be
assured that they would have a political home in the world.

Alameda sheriffs threaten to kill paraplegic man's dog in marijuana raid
[Link: www.examiner.com...]
Jason Rivera, a paraplegic who suffers severe chronic pain, was detained by sheriffs presenting a warrant at his recording studio. The warrant was based on the tip of an anonymous informant, said Rivera, recounting the statements of deputies on the scene. As sheriffs executed the warrant at the studio, one asked Rivera about searching his home. Rivera says the deputy threatened to kill his dog if he didn't cooperate. "We can do this the easy way and you can take us to your house to look around," Rivera recounts the deputy saying, "or we can detain you for six hours while we get a warrant and go to your house and shoot your dog."

Lee’s Summit to pay $15.5 million to wrongly accused man
[Link: www.kansascity.com...]
“I want to tell all of my children that the door is now open to come back through to see me again,” White said, fighting back tears. His victory cost him so much.
He is the former Lee’s Summit businessman who spent five years in prison for child sexual abuse before being exonerated when a later jury determined that the police detective who investigated the case had conspired with White’s wife to manipulate evidence to get him convicted.
The two had been carrying on an affair.
The 13-year ordeal — which saw four trials, an escape to Costa Rica, a missing diary and a late-night visit by Secret Santa — finally ended Friday with Lee’s Summit agreeing to pay White the settlement.
The ex-wife and the cop should both be in jail. They conspired together and got this guy locked up for years on a pretty heinous charge. They should have to do the same amount of time he was facing.

Not good enough. They put this guy behind bars for 5 years on a charge where the other inmates would have gone out of their way to kill him given the opportunity.
The fed pen my B-i-L was in recently had a native american stabbed multiple times, by the other indians, within 24 hours of getting there. He was a convicted child molester. Well, in "fairness" he's not exactly doing a "silent treatment" (i.e. going underground,, not posting at all anywhere, even on his own blog)

I never had a grudge against fiscal conservatism as such. Heck, in Russia I voted for the Union of the Right Forces (Soyuz Pravykh Sil), a (now defunct) socially liberal, fiscally right-wing party. While currently I disagree with lots of fiscal conservatism, it's on a political level. It's social conservatism that gets me.
Social/cultural conservatism destroys.

I don't use a lot of oil in cooking, period. It's mostly butter in my household. One of the few times I do use oil is when the Mrs. Fish is in the mood for something different and I pan-fry hamburgers in olive oil. Those can be good sometimes.

Needless to say, he will be jailed for 8 weeks to begin with. 4 of these will be under complete isolation. He's likely to remain in custody for about a year, since investigation will take a lot of time.
His motive/goal was to inflict a hard blow to the Labour party, which he feels has betrayed the country, by "importing large amount of muslims" and allowing "muslim colonization of Norway" and some stuff about "cultural marxism". By targeting the youth organization, he wanted to stop recruitment to the Labour party (good luck with that..) He also claimed that there were two more terrorist cells within his organization.

There are many people like me – Danes, Swedes, Norwegians, and other Europeans – who had this person as a friend on Facebook. I wonder how they feel now.
Everyone who is critical of aspects of our immigration policies must wake up and realise what their endless talk about dangers and hatred can lead to. Even though no one wanted to fuel this terrible act in Norway, that's what they actually did. And there are more people out there who are looking for reasons to justify their actions by being able to refer to what "others" have written, above all on the net.
There are two things we learned on Friday afternoon. One: extremists are found in all groups, and all are at least as dangerous. Two: hatred breeds hate. Never help to spread it unless you are ready to take the consequences. Did anyone – even you people who hate me for everything else, and belong to the far right – did anyone, even you, really want something this terrible to happen? Surely everyone can see this could never work to anyone's advantage.
Good post.

This is a better letter of resignation...sure, the Whole Foods one is fun, but this one rips a new asshole into a sitting governor:
So, I am leaving, not for health reasons, and not to spend more time with my family, and not to pursue other interests, which are all the commonly used themes for such resignations, but because this administration is more interested in pacifying special interest groups than in responsibly managing Maine's marine resources for the benefit of the entire state. I cannot be part of that. The legacy of my fishermen father, grandfather and great grandfather will not allow it.

Greets and saluts from the NYC metro area, where even the gay puppets can get married (but remember that the Internet is for ... porn, not for hacking together a manifesto calling for a violent counter jihad that murders innocent teens to spark a war to protect a "christian" identity of Europe.
None of what he did happened in a vacuum. He had influences, and trying to claim that this was done because he was inadequate to get the attentions of women ignores what he actually wrote - and what he's actually saying.
He believed it to the point of murdering nearly 100 people.
He intended to murder many more - including assassinating a former PM.
This isn't just about inadequacies around women. This is about buying into a worldview that sees the "other" as the enemy - and the current scapegoat is Muslims - all Muslims. In another day and age, it would be the Jews. Or those who aren't blonde and blue eyed.
It's all the same kind of recycled hatred, and we ignore this hate at our own peril.

Haven't been to a Dennys in years, but a few decades ago they had something on their menu called a Pizza Omelet. An omelet with all manner of meats and veggies in it covered with tomato sauce and parm/ mozz cheese
A friend of mine loved them. Problem was, one night he was in there eating one at zero-dark-thirty after a night of heavy drinking. He was so wiped out he literally used the omelet as a pillow, dozing off on top of it, only to wake up with two Denver Mass policemen stat=ring down at him

I just wanted to stop by and say thank you to Charles and the posters at LGF. I'm a Norwegian, living in Norway, and people around me are naturally shocked by what's happened.
A lot of people just can't understand where this is coming from, and can't grasp the ideology, or line or thinking, expressed by Breivik.
I've been using LGF as a resource for the past couple of days, both for my own sake and for being able to elighten others in a small way, and it's been invaluable.
There are two people in my circle of friends/family still not accounted for at Utøya. 17 and 19 years old...

I didn't know much about the Jonestown Massacre until PBS did a special on it a few years ago. They had the recordings on their website-- it was horrible yet eerily fascinating.
I pass the old site of the People's Temple at least weekly. It's a post office, now.
San Francisco has tried desperately to erase any trace of that bunch. Sad to watch people try and pretend it never happened, because so many lost family in it.

re: #424 Norvegicus
Hi Lizards
I just wanted to stop by and say thank you to Charles and the posters at LGF. I'm a Norwegian, living in Norway, and people around me are naturally shocked by what's happened.
A lot of people just can't understand where this is coming from, and can't grasp the ideology, or line or thinking, expressed by Breivik.
I've been using LGF as a resource for the past couple of days, both for my own sake and for being able to elighten others in a small way, and it's been invaluable.
There are two people in my circle of friends/family still not accounted for at Utøya. 17 and 19 years old...
This is a drive-by post, sorry about that, but I'm off to have dinner with familiy members, after which we'll attend a vigil.
Take care everyone.
Stay safe, Norvegicus.

Charles should quote this until it sinks in:
The document by Breivik is no monograph or political-literary outpouring by a madman, who had clearly been planning a devastating attack for years. Instead it is a type of collage. The document "2083" comprises long sections of articles and essays found by Breivik in various "patriotic," "national" and "conservative" publications and blogs. This makes Fjordman the actual author of several hundred pages in the convoluted bundle -- in total some 38 chapters or subsections stem from his work. These sections fit in seamlessly with this "opus," which calls on Europeans to engage in a bloody anti-jihad movement that goes as far as martyrdom.
494 | lawhawk Mon, Jul 25, 2011 9:39:57am |
re: #493 Sergey Romanov
Breivik was essentially an editor who put together this mangled mess of xenophobia and anti-Muslim sentiment, relying on the works of others, including Fjordman, Spencer, Geller, et al. and in some instances reworded other writings to suit his needs - as in the case of the Unabomer.
His was not the work of an original thinker - but someone who utilized the works of others and combined them into a work proposing monstrous terror and violence to further his goals.
495 | Lidane Mon, Jul 25, 2011 9:40:08am |
I'm not familiar with British law, but this seems interesting:
[Link: www.hollywoodreporter.com...]
In British postmortem cases where a sudden death is deemed not suspicious and the Coroner believes that no inquest is necessary, he or she can order a Section 19 Post Mortem under the terms of the 1988 Coroner's Act in Britain.
A Section 20 postmortem, as Winehouse had, however, implies that the Coroner believes "there is reasonable cause to suspect that a person has died a violent or unnatural death or in any other way which would require an inquest," according to guidelines. It suggests that the authorities are mounting a more lengthy and serious investigation into the circumstances around Winehouse's death, although the Coroner also reported that at the scene had been investigated by police and "determined non-suspicious."
Is this just due to a full toxicology screen taking weeks? Hopefully someone here can explain it.

Yep. He must be a Darwinist. He only mentions "Darwin(ism)" six (6) times in his crazed manifesto and mentions the word Christian one-thousand one hundred and forty-three (1,143) times. And says things like this:
Things change. They can change for the worse, but they can also change for the better. If we do get another world war, which appears increasingly likely, this could finish off what remains of European civilisation for good. But it could also, theoretically, have the opposite effect, where the shock waves could create a different kind of Europe from the decadent, nihilistic Europe we see now. A Christian revitalisation, for instance.
and
I am first and foremost a man of logic. However, I am a supporter of a monocultural Christian Europe.
6/1,143 x 100 = 0.524% of Christian vs. Darwin
I am going to assume that a "monocultural Christian Europe" not only doesn't include Islam but Judaism, atheism, and everything in between.

Describes LGF as a "far right blog". Der Spiegel needs an update.
Damn, I missed this. I take "competent" back. Not only LGF is not far right, it didn't start this rumor either.

He's "pro-Catholic" in the sense of blathering about the Knights Templar. Beyond that, he seems like a garden variety white supremacist asshole, and they tend to hate Catholicism.

re: #517 Lidane
Well, here is the quote that I posted a while a go:
I myself am a Protestant and baptized / confirmed to me by my own free will when I was 15
But today's Protestant church is a joke. Priests in jeans who march for Palestine and churches that look like the minimalist shopping centers. I am a supporter of an indirect collective conversion of the Protestant church back to the Catholic. In the meantime, I vote for the most conservative candidates in church elections.
The only thing that can save the Protestant church is to go back to basics.
Pretty clear.

re: #308 Fat Bastard Vegetarian
I started my "super-right" pull-back a few years ago, right after the President was elected. Not because my ideologies have so much changed, but because the people I agreed with (in principal) became stark raving lunatics.
I remember shouting at the screen at O'Reilly, "WORDS MEAN THINGS!"
Turned off that shit, and stopped watching it.
I am still a small government, low-taxes, fairly liberal socially, hard-ass right wing fiscal guy. Same as I ever was.
But Fjordman? (whoever the fuck you are); Same goes for you. Words mean things.
I went into self-imposed Sci-Fi fiction exile. Came out with a much opened mind.

That would be odd, since the Catholic church deposed his precious Knights Templars/PCCTS, for reasons that would make Anders REALLY angry...with the Templars.
Not that these con men have much interest in historical accuracy when living out their video game fantasies.

I see that the right wing blogosphere is desperately trying to float the "lone crazy person" meme today. How drearily predictable.
He acted alone. But like Timothy McVeigh, he had inspiration. One can only hope this bloodbath causes a recoil from extremism as Oklahoma City did in America (temporary though it was). I'm afraid its only a matter of time before we have another major attack from a domestic, right-wing terrorist in the US, as far right extremism is being mainstreamed at a level far greater than that which inspired McVeigh.

So according to World Nut Daily (and others like them -- apparently it's growing), if I sit down and have a conversation over dinner with a date and mention the word "Chrisitian" 1,143 times and "Darwin" 6 times she's going to go away thinking I'm a Darwinist?
If you do that, she's going to stick a fork in your eye.

re: #494 lawhawk
Breivik was essentially an editor who put together this mangled mess of xenophobia and anti-Muslim sentiment, relying on the works of others, including Fjordman, Spencer, Geller, et al. and in some instances reworded other writings to suit his needs - as in the case of the Unabomer.
His was not the work of an original thinker - but someone who utilized the works of others and combined them into a work proposing monstrous terror and violence to further his goals.
Agree. I started going through the mess looking for "his own words" as opposed to large swaths of cut-n-paste materials.
The only such I'm willing to state without hesitation are the first three subsections (About the compendium; Distribution of the book; and A Message from the author - approx 12 pages); the Interview with a Justiciar Knight etc - about 64 pages); and his log of about 58 pages. Everything else I've checked is at best using another source as template if not as a whole - and much more frequently the last.
With that said, if you're really trying to understand his mind and thinking, read the interview. I've been tempted to select JUST that, and post it for reference. I ran a word cloud on it, and it's quite similar to the one that shows for the entirety. (The difference is that JEWS becomes prominent. The reason is that he takes a large section to dismiss that aspect of his otherwise fellow traveling National Socialists aka neo-nazis.)
One last comment. Everything in section one and most things in section two can be found at jihadwatch as original post, copy, or linked reference. That is the cornerstone of the philosophical fount to which Brievik ascribed.

re: #532 Sergey Romanov
Not sure how it relates. He is not anti-Catholic.
It's very simple. He's only "pro-Catholic" to the extent that he wants a new Knights Templar to go out and kill Muslims and immigrants and he wants to erase the Protestant/Catholic divide to do it.
The problem with this theory is that the Catholic church is making the most inroads for converts in Africa and throughout the Third World-- where all the immigrants and Muslims he hates come from.

I don't think his pro-C-sm has relation to Knights Templar, rather than the ritual (as he writes). Also, the question was whether "it includes Catholics", yes it does.

Oh. Then I think it's based in a mistaken belief that Catholic churches are much more conservative.
I think he'd change his mind if he knew that most priests in the next decades will be African, Hispanic, and Asian. That's already caused a bit of a stir.
