Pamela Geller’s New Book’s Top 10 Tags

Advance reviews are harsh
Wingnuts • Views: 39,562

Since a bunch of crazy right wing bloggers have been trying to attack me by saying I “organized a campaign to silence Pamela Geller” when I pointed out the Amazon page for her new hateful screed, “Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance,” and noted that Amazon customers can add their own “tags” to the page, I thought I’d check back and see how my evil plan was doing.

Lo and behold, the top ten tags for hate group leader Pamela Geller’s new work of bigotry:

hate speech (334)
islamophobia (274)
bigotry (270)
inspiration for the norway killer (256)
hateful divisive political rhetoric (250)
religious hatred (223)
racist (203)
anders breivik fan (164)
hate (159)
bigot (155)

I’m not trying to “silence” Geller; the opposite, in fact. I want her to spew her hatred as much and as loudly as possible, so that as many people as possible will see what a deranged bigot she is.

And I didn’t “organize” anything, beyond pointing out the Amazon page. But if the wingnut blogs want to make me their villain, I’ll gladly accept the blame and wear it as a badge of honor.

Mwa hahahaha.

Drunken Pam's blood alcohol content has just hit .35:

DOW CRASHES 600 POINTS, OBAMA MENTAL ILLNESS WORSENS: "THE U.S. WILL ALWAYS BE A TRIPLE-A COUNTRY DESPITE WHAT RATING AGENCIES SAY"

It sounds like Obama has had a complete psychological break from reality. His hatred of America consumes him.

Dow Closes Down More Than 600 Points ABCNews.com:

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell over 600 points Monday after a one-two punch: the first-ever Standard & Poor's downgrade of U.S. debt, then the downgrading of govenment-backed mortgage debt. The Dow's one-day drop of more than 600 points was its biggest point loss in a single day since December, 1 2008.

In Prelimnary closing figures the Dow Jones Industrial Average sank 632 points at 10813, ending at the day's low, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The Standard & Poor's 500 stock index tumbled 78 points, or 6.5%, to 1123, with financial and energy stocks falling hardest.

President Obama spoke this afternoon, saying the United States knew well before the S&P downgrade that it had a debt problem. "The U.S. will always be a triple-A country despite what rating agencies say," he said.

Did he really say that?? And did ABC report it with a straight face?

When you buy Pamela's book on Amazon it should recommend Breivik's manifesto 2083.

I sincerely hope she wasn't able to edit the book post-Breivik event, as it will undoubtedly be extremely revealing.

Oh man I dont know if I can rehash it again.

Lets just say its a combination of some legitimate social/historical grievances, some over-reaction, and some nihilistic/consumeristic opportunism.
It is also to some extent the future.

I'm currently watching a young lady sing with a full symphonic orchestra on Detroit Public. She looks 13 but sings with a voice of an older woman. It's moments like this that give me hope for humanity. This and talking my little brother back home from Afghanistan.

Fuck Pamela Geller.

The Met shot a black, Christian father of three who supposedly shot a gun at them. Except, maybe not. The family wanted answers, the Met didn't meet with them, someone got pissed, and now London looks like this.

So in response to you request, I give you the map of Londinium in hell:

[Link: maps.google.co.uk...]

Not all of these areas are minority areas at all. There are a lot of white yabos travelling by tube and smash-and-grabbing all over town. I mean, Chelsea? Oxford Street?

16 jaunte  Mon, Aug 8, 2011 5:34:30pm

Maybe we can encourage the same crazy right-wing bloggers to chip in on a second printing of Geller's tome before the first is out, just to make sure no silencing takes place.

The nice christian father of three (or four?) was apparently involved in the black market guns/drug trade.

The met called in an armed response unit (read: cops with sub machine guns) to arrest him on a warrant. Unlike in the US where they just kick down your door at three A.M., shoot your dog and then trash your house because you might be dangerous, the Met waited until he was alone and in a cab before they arrested him. Which still went badly, but it's the right Idea.

Actually there are special units within the UK Police Forces that carry firearms. The criminal elements have always had some kind of access to black market arms trade.

Gun control laws have never stopped criminals from having access to weapons. At the most (NFA of 1934) they can control who has access to come kinds of weapons. But weapons are everywhere.

I was in college at the time. Our professor heard the verdict was getting announced that afternoon and cancelled our afternoon class.

It was one thing to experience riots in "my" city. As a child I saw that first person during the Watts riots, riding with my folks to get my grandparents away from 3rd avenue and Slauson.

So we had riots. OK. Then I heard the police had pulled back to "essential facilities". My city had abandoned its neighborhoods in favor of protecting police stations and city hall. That was scary. Then LAFD pulled out. As we realized we were really on our own we knew the long shot scenario was real. We were on our own, just as if a "big one" earthquake had rocked us all. Then we organized. Called it "Fire Watch". Good neighbors are everything at times like that.

Probably. But I take the word of the police in cases like this where the perp was found with a gun and drugs on him. Lots of this sort of gang shit in Chicago, and I have very hostile attitude towards the thugs who deal drugs and murder. Yesterday one of their stray shots killed a six-year old waiting to go to church with her grandmother in Chicago. So I'm not going to cry any tears because some drug-gang scumbag got shot by police.

I was being a little sarcastic with my gun control law remark. I lived in England for 4 years and my Mom is English so I'm somewhat familiar with the country, however, I lived in the sticks, not in a metro area so I'm sure the difference is night and day. I did have my car broken into twice while I was there.

That's ok. Being a lefty gun owner, I run into that, non-sarcastically, all to often and just kicked into standard response Mk.1 ;)

My take on it is that it's always been considered the only real response to that sort of thing. Wait until the outbreaks to really flex the collective muscle of the authority.

Why didn't anyone ever think of finding ways to prevent the violence by giving them less reason to break out? Whatever happened to better social services and education?

But Times Square was rendered safe. And that made it much better for the law-abiding people on whose labors and tourist dollars New York City depends. Further, it being cleaned up means that it now employs more people, with some of those 'Disney' jobs providing a path up from poverty for those willing to work. That is progress.

Chicago has a bit of a reputation for police brutality, so they numbers might be higher. I was using it because DF was from there.

From the standpoint of justified vs unjustified, I don't have the breakdown for every police shooting this year. No handy summaries turned up on Google.Chicago has paid out 200 million in brutality and wrongful arrest suits between 2000 and 2007 though. That's a little under 3,000 dollars per year per officer, which strikes me as high.
