Republican candidates peddle all flavors of crazy at Tea Party debate
Ron Paul’s “let ‘em die” health plan wasn’t the only appalling moment in last night’s debate. Not by a long shot.
Here we see the audience booing Ron Paul for saying “the whole Muslim world” was not responsible for 9/11. (Preceded by the usual “they hate our American exceptionalism” incantations from Rick Santorum.)
And Michele Bachmann came out as an anti-vaccination kook. (In addition to all her other weird beliefs.)
And all of the candidates were spewing lies like mendacious firehoses: Fact-checking the CNN/Tea Party Express GOP debate.
The Republican Party is deranged and disconnected from reality, and that’s very bad news for America.
