As it was, it was more an expression of Romney's frustration at not making more headway with this important voting bloc, even with all the pandering and flip-flopping on abortion and the other embarrassing concessions he's made to them.

I'll bet he ends up doing what McCain did -- getting the nomination because he's next in the GOP good ol' boy line of succession, and picking a VP who makes the religious right happy.

I keep wondering how weak or how strong a person must be to listen to this crap about himself and not say, "oh yeah, well fuck you too." He's in a group of people with a 4% share, people who are never going to vote for him or accept him but he still kisses those rings.

It's damn creepy.

Anyone who didn't have an insane desire to be POTUS over and above anything else in life would explode.

re: #105 Charles

I thought Romney's statement was pretty weak, actually. If he had actually called out some of the people by name -- they do have names -- I might respect him more.

And if that happens, I still won't vote for him, because to give Romney and his probable RR-approved VP any real power is to validate the RWNJ crazies (to whom he is pandering to) and give them power.

Fuck that...

Good Afternoon Lizards..Oklahoma beat the crap out of Texas today 55-17..
We had fun at the Moose Lodge...I need a nap..

serving for these people is not a desire to do good, it's an obsession to win power...no sane person would put themselves through this bullshit unless the crave is uncontrollable...I can't believe a decent guy like Romney would stoop so low and get used like this...it's disgusting in more ways than one, and like CJ just said, wtf doesn't he call out these freaks?....where is his personal integrity and what's he got to lose?....he wants it too much imo

re: #110 albusteve

Steve you would not believe what happened at the lodge during the game.. It's packed and everybody had been drinking since breakfast.. And OU had an incomplete pass and everybody was screaming it was good!
Then behold I spoke up during the commercial.. No good! Ball touched the ground!
The fury of 50 OU fans turned on me.. It was funny.. I said you Guys need to learn the rules or get new glasses! That spun them up! About then the TV said the pass was incomplete..
It was cool.. But at the end of the Bar was a big Biker girl that was really pissed.. She starts yelling at me and pointing at me.. I can't help it.. I've trashed talked sports my whole life...But then I realized..She is deadly serious and about 15 seconds away from starting a fight with me...
I had to bring it down fast for her and be pleasant real fast..Bought her a beer...People are serious about football here...Plus...She was pretty rough looking.. I think she could have taken me...Sometimes people take me wrong.. I say stuff and like having a good time.. But I can rub you the wrong way sometimes....
I could see in her eyes my fun trash talking ways were not working in sports here.. Which is OK..But pretty much everybody around this place carry guns and drinks a lot..

re: #45 Charles

Cain 23%

Romney 4%

Huntsman 0%

Adds a whole new dimension to that idiotic LDS bullshit theology of the Curse of Cain.

Go, Herman! Make those white Southern Baptist confederates vote for The Black, since they have something to prove about it.
