Another Hotel Turns Away Pamela Geller’s Bigot Brigade

The shrieking harpy has a bad week

Anti-Muslim demagogue Pamela Geller rants and raves and spews bigoted hate speech and twisted conspiracy theories 24 hours a day, so she really shouldn’t be surprised when reputable businesses don’t want anything to do with her: Another hotel turns away Pamela Geller and anti-Shariah group.

A week after a Hyatt Place hotel forced the Sugar Land Tea Party to move their controversial event featuring Pamela Geller, the same thing seems to be happening in Nashville.

The Tennessean reports that Hutton Hotel canceled a contract for an event where Geller, her partner Robert Spencer and other anti-Shariah activists were scheduled to speak. The hotel is owned by Amerimar Enterprises, which operates Houston’s Hotel Derek.

“If this group had let us know what kind of program they were planning and who was involved, we wouldn’t have booked it,” Steve Eckley, senior vice president of hotels for Amerimar, told the newspaper.

But of course, Geller and her crony Robert Spencer know what’s really happening here: creeping shariah.

Organizers of the event, called Sharia Free USA, say the hotel has caved to sharia law in cancelling their event.

“We will find a new venue,” said Spencer, also of Stop the Islamization of America, “but the Hutton Hotel’s capitulation to Islamic supremacist threats and intimidation is a disgrace, and a disquieting reminder of just how much the freedom of speech is threatened in America today.”

Kudos to the Hyatt and Hutton hotels, who did the right thing and chose not to be associated with the Geller-Spencer brand of poisonous incitement and hate speech.

UPDATE at 10/26/11 1:16:42 pm

Pamela Geller is absolutely frothing with rage at her website; there are no less than nine posts on her front page right now about these cancellations.
