Official CainTruth.com Website Attacks Herman Cain’s Accusers

Cain’s unbelievable new website

Herman Cain has launched a website called “CainTruth.com,” along with a series of Google advertisements promoting it (they’ve appeared here at LGF, because Google Adsense serves ads based on keywords in the page’s text).

CainTruth.com is apparently dedicated to attacking and smearing the women accusing him of sexual harassment, and the lead article today is: Investigator: Herman Cain innocent of sexual advances.

Whoa — an “investigator” has cleared Cain of the charges? That sounds like big news!

Except that, of course, it’s not. The article linked at CainTruth.com is about a crack private investigator named “TJ Ward” who determined that Cain was innocent with the use of a magic software program that can tell when people are lying … through the TV set!

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) - Private investigator TJ Ward said presidential hopeful Herman Cain was not lying at a news conference on Tuesday in Phoenix.

Cain denied making any sexual actions towards Sharon Bialek and vowed to take a polygraph test if necessary to prove his innocence.

Cain has not taken a polygraph but Ward said he does have software that does something better. Ward said the $15,000 software can detect lies in people’s voices.

CBS Atlanta’s Mike Paluska played Cain’s speech for Ward into the software and watched as it analyzed Cain’s every word.

If he is hiding something this thing would have spiked way down here,” said Ward.  “He is being truthful, totally truthful.  He is a man with integrity and he talked directly about not knowing any incident he is accused of.”

Who says right wingers are anti-science? He analyzed Cain with software! Expensive scientific software that detects lies! What more proof do you need?

Not only that — this incredible lie detecting $15,000 program also determined that Sharon Bialek was definitely lying!

During the section of Bialek’s news conference where she says, “He suddenly reached over put his hand on my leg under my skirt and reached for my genitals he also grabbed my head brought it towards his crotch.”

During the analysis of that section the software said “high risk statement.” Ward said that means she is not telling the truth about what happened.

“I don’t think she is fabricating her meetings,” said Ward. But, she is fabricating what transpired.”

This is Cain’s idea of a defense, amazingly enough. Of course, he doesn’t have to try very hard, because the right wing base that put him on top of the polls simply doesn’t care whether he’s a scumbag and serial harasser of women; in fact, some of them (see: Rush Limbaugh) seem to admire him all the more for it.

UPDATE at 11/10/11 11:52:37 am

From a commenter at the CBS Atlanta website linked above: apparently “TJ Ward” is actually Jerry Ward, based in Alpharetta, GA, and he’s a donor to the Herman Cain campaign.

Ward’s website lists an Alpharetta address; a search for “Ward” in Georgia at Opensecrets.org shows a Jerry Ward in Alpharetta who donated $250 to the Herman Cain campaign.
