Fox News Commenters Spew Overt Racism at Wyclef Jean and Haitians

Vile beyond belief

If I hadn’t seen this happen over and over and over at right wing websites, I might be shocked by the proud, open racism expressed by Fox News commenters in this article about Wyclef Jean’s Haitian charity fund.

WARNING: these quoted comments contain numerous racial slurs, so I’ve hidden them to start with. To see them, click the link below.

Often people will ask, “Why does the Nlggger do this?” or “Why did the Nlggger do that?” It is pretty much akin to asking why dogs bark, why cats climb trees, or why birds fly. They just do — their primitive brains are hard-wired in a manner that is incompatible with Human logic.

God only knows what really goes on inside the chimp’s brain-pan, but we can identify certain behaviors that seem to be consistent among the species:

1) “LOOK-A-ME!” This is the basic 24-hour a day / 7 days a week behavior that the Nlggger employs to get attention….

This is just the beginning. There are more than 1,300 comments in this thread, and many of them contain overtly racist slurs.

As I’ve noted before, Fox News commenters are indistinguishable from the commenters at neo-Nazi hate site Stormfront.

Take a closer look -- you'll see that all the racist words are creatively misspelled so they don't trigger any filters or get found by searches.

Fox News viewers less informed than those who don’t watch news at all

A poll released by Fairleigh Dickinson University on Monday found that people who get their news from Fox News know significantly less about news both in the U.S. and the world than people who watch no news at all.

In a survey of 612 New Jersey natives, Fox News fans flunked questions about Egypt and Syria when compared with people who don't watch the news. Fox viewers were 18-points less likely to know that Egyptians toppled their government and 6 points less likely to be aware that Syrians have not yet overthrown theirs.

"Because of the controls for partisanship, we know these results are not just driven by Republicans or other groups being more likely to watch Fox News," Dan Cassino, a Fairleigh Dickinson professor who served as an analyst for the poll, said in the report. "Rather, the results show us that there is something about watching Fox News that leads people to do worse on these questions that those who don't watch any news at all."

UN reports Syrian military raping and killing children 'to prevent them from growing up to be a demonstrator'

the commission said that it interviewed 223 victims and witnesses, including defectors from Syria’s security forces, since September. It said that men and boys were sexually tortured at military detention facilities, and a 2-year-old girl was shot to death just to prevent her from growing up to be a demonstrator.

Fox as a corporation targets its products very well, and Fox News is targeted to make money from a certain crowd, and that crowd is indeed their audience as hoped for. That's how targeted marketing works.

Bachmann's immigration plan would cost the US $2.6 trillion

Asked by radio host Laura Ingraham on Monday about an earlier statement she made differentiating between immigrants who had recently entered the country illegally from those with longstanding ties to the United States, Bachmann said she was never referring to legalization.

“What I’m talking about is the order of deportation, the sequence of deportation,” Bachmann replied. “It is almost impossible to move 11 million illegal immigrants overnight. You do it in steps.” Bachmann said deporting those convicted of crimes would be the first step.

Despite the sheer impracticality (and sinister connotations) of somehow identifying, rounding up, and transporting each and every undocumented immigrant to their country of origin, experts say that such a radical move would be utterly calamitous for the U.S. economy. A Center for American Progress analysis estimated that the cost of deporting the undocumented population would total $285 billion over five years.

It costs $23,148 for each person to be apprehended, detained, legally processed, and transported out of the country. A deportation-only policy would amount to $922 in new taxes for “every man, woman, and child in this country” — an exorbitant price tag for the satisfaction of appearing tough on immigrants.

Furthermore, mass deportation would reduce the country’s GDP by 1.46 percent, which would amount to $2.6 trillion in cumulative losses over 10 years.

It's funny, I remember the days, many years ago, when a lot of inappropriately unhinged comments appeared on this very website. And LGF's critics loved to point it out, comparing the much tamer comments on "respectable" media sites.

Now the tables are turned - Charles cleaned up his comments section many years ago, long before his turn away from the right-wing, and Fox News appears to have welcomed those former comments with open arms.

In fact, the Fox News comments are significantly worse than anything that appeared on LGF in the old days.

Wyclef Jean

whenever i hear his name, i wonder if he's named after the wycliffe who translated the bible into english when it was still considered very controversial to do so. his translation had a huge influence on the king james bible. he was also an opponent of church power whose followers are referenced in The Name Of The Rose

John Wycliffe (c. 1328 – December 31, 1384) was an English Scholastic philosopher, theologian, lay preacher, translator, reformer and university teacher who was known as an early dissident in the Roman Catholic Church during the 14th century. His followers were known as Lollards, a somewhat rebellious movement, which preached anticlerical and biblically-centred reforms. The Lollard movement, was a precursor to the Protestant Reformation (for this reason, Wycliffe is sometimes called "The Morning Star of the Reformation"). He was one of the earliest opponents of papal authority influencing secular power

The endurance of a child that's been brought up on bread and sugary tea because he's the only one in the family who can find work is great overestimated, IMHO.

That reminds me of the early scenes in the original Conan the Barbarian movie when he started as a little kid turning that huge pump or grindy thing and grew up to be a packin' Ahnold. That reminded me that I saw the new Conan movie over the weekend and that is was a total sludge blower. Beyond the 30 second thrill I got from the awesomely gorgeous body of the new guy, the movie had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I didn't even hang around to see the end.

A video clip gone viral does not depict the full story or the facts leading up to an actual incident. Multiple dispersal requests were given in the days and hours before the tent removal operation. Not caught on most videos were scenes of protesters hitting, pushing, grabbing officers’ batons, fighting back with backpacks and skateboards.

There is always prison labor, we just need to make sure that the privately run prison industry is running at capacity.

The private prisons could set up auction blocks and send their prisoners to work for the highest bidders to replace the deported immigrant work force. That would be something we haven't seen in awhile!/
