Mike Huckabee and the Republican Clown Car

Not a debate, but then it never is
Politics • Views: 20,033

Yes, Fox News is your go-to channel for the latest installment in the ongoing series of torture devices known as “debates.” Well, this one isn’t exactly a debate, more like a series of right wing nuts interviewing other right wing nuts.

Including AG Ken Cuccinelli, a true wingnut kook who’s currently focused on harassing climate scientists.

Any live stream?

3 Charles Johnson  Sat, Dec 3, 2011 5:10:31pm

Here we go again. Right off the bat, Gingrich says his acceptance of the reality of climate change was “one of the dumbest things I’ve ever done.”

4 Decatur Deb  Sat, Dec 3, 2011 5:10:34pm

No signal here—will enjoy vicariously. Be sure to describe the color of Huck’s eyes.

On behalf of the sane citizens of the state of Virginia, I’d like to apologize for inflicting Ken Cuccinelli upon the nation at large.

Only if combined with repeal of child labor laws and elimination of labor unions.

A child with two hands clutching a hungry stomach is a child with two hands that can push a broom. They’d earn a few bucks on the side, learn valuable scrubbing techniques, and become accustomed to the debilitating joint and back pain which will soon become their constant companions in a life of fruitless toil in the service industry.

I have talked to several armed forces superiors and they have stated that the child supersoldiers of Africa can easily handle automatic weapons, and also that their still-developing brains have not fully learned to fear death. Why not bring some of that gumption to our neck of the woods? Heck, we might even be able to shut down the obesity ward of the children’s hospital.

Otherwise, the statement makes zero sense. Zero.

200 Ming  Sat, Dec 3, 2011 9:21:25pm

The Republicans are so blinded by their deep personal hatred of Barack Obama, they barely realize that their top contenders are (1) a former IRS attorney who went after taxpayers (Bachmann), (2) a guy who talks about family values but surprised wife #1 with divorce papers when she was terminally ill, then years later surprised wife #2 with divorce papers when she was terminally ill (Gingrich), (3) the Governor who presided over legalizing same-sex marriage and universal healthcare in Massachusetts (Romney), and (4) a Governor who insisted on in-state tuition breaks for illegal residents, and tried to mandate (!) the HPV vaccine for teenagers in Texas. It seems strange that these are the candidates favored by the Tea Baggers, but then again the Tea Baggers are pretty far gone.

Meanwhile, the only sane candidate, Jon Huntsman, doesn’t seem to be getting any traction, because he worked for The Evil One (Obama) as Ambassador to China.

Is it just me? I can’t stand Malbec. I’ve tried a couple of different brands, but it basically tastes to me like somebody blended a Merlot, and blended it badly.
