Pamela Geller: Muslims Firebombed Their Own Mosque in Queens

Hate speech
Wingnuts • Views: 25,388

In yet another disgusting post filled with typos, hate group leader Pamela Geller makes excuses for terrorism by saying that Muslims in Queens probably firebombed their own mosque.

Yes, really.

HMEDIA FOCUSES ON MOSQUE FIREBOMBED IN QUEENS, IGNORES MULTI-PRONGED FIREBOMBING AGAINST HINDUS, CHRISTIANS, HOMES!!!!! - Atlas Shrugs

“Hmedia?”

Color me skeptical. We find time and time again, in the rare instances when a mosque has graffit [sic] or some prank, the perp is Muslim. More times than not.

Here’s the a [sic] sketch of the perp, looks like a CAIR member.

It’s amazing and sickening how much Geller’s smears of Muslims resemble antisemitic libels of Jews.

Headline I saw said "Hindu Temple Firebombed" so once again this shameless self promoter is looking for any invented excuse to get herself more publicity.

Of course all firebombs are self-inflicted. Just like the churches firebombed in the South during the civil rights struggle were bombed by blacks--remember?

Here's a story about a mosque firebombing:

Whut? The news reports indicate that there were four locations attacked across Queens, with an additional location in Long Island also linked to the other attacks.

A fifth building — a Long Island home — has been hit by a Molotov cocktail, and cops are investigating if the attack is linked to four similar incidents in Queens, authorities said Monday.

The harrowing Queens arsons, including one at a mosque, took place within a mile of each other in Jamaica between 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Sunday.

At 9:40 p.m. Sunday, a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a Glafil St. home in Elmont. Nassau County police said there were no injuries or damage to the home.

Bejai Rai, 77, was having dinner with his wife and two sons when they heard glass smash and saw fire sparks.

Oh, and the person of interest involved was caught on a surveillance tape showing him actually throwing the fire bomb at a location.

The going theory is that a disgruntled patron to a convenience store caught trying to shoplift then carried out the attacks as revenge. His targets were based on his perceived religious affiliation/nationality of the convenience store clerks/owners:

A worker at the deli said the man showed up at the store about three nights ago, tried to shoplift and threatened employees when they caught him in the act and ejected him. Police said the suspect had tried to steal milk and a Starbucks Frappuccino and appeared to be of Guyanese descent.

The Post reports that they've got a guy in custody in relation to the string of bombings and increased security around places of worship:

A police security tower rose into the sky Monday, keeping watch over the globally prominent Islamic cultural center that was firebombed amid a handful of attacks being investigated as possibly linked bias crimes.

Police released a sketch of a suspect and a videotape from a surveillance camera at a private house that is used as a Hindu house of worship and was one of the targets. The video shows a car pulling up Sunday night. Someone suddenly appears, lifts his right arm high and hurls a lit object that strikes the house and explodes into flames.

Earlier Sunday evening, the entrance to the Imam Al-Khoei Foundation also was struck by two Molotov cocktails, the types of bombs usually made of glass bottles filled with flammable liquid and corked with rags.

"But we are not afraid," said the center's assistant imam, Maan Al-Sahlani.
Besides the private house and the Islamic center, the other targets in the suspected arson attacks Sunday night were a corner store and another house. No one was injured in any of the attacks.

They ignored the other attacks? Hardly. In fact, the reports are showing that they've linked together the attacks on the mosque with attacks on other locations, including one in Nassau County. The media isn't excluding the attacks on the other locations. They're noting that the mosque attacked happens to be a very prominent one, and that a Hindu temple was also attacked.

I call Geller's claims to be "streaming pile of flaming do".

Ah. So basically Charles saw where this was going and bailed out while she let it consume her instead. I admit to being a bit spotty on the whole history here, beyond the general stuff I've picked up here and there.

Oh yes, "Jews do the graffittis on synagogues" is a widespread neo-Nazi meme.

11 Ming  Tue, Jan 3, 2012 10:05:29am

For the first time in a long time, I actually followed the LGF link to Atlas Shrugs. I expected some crazy stuff, but I'm still astonished by the following (in the Atlas Shrugs post):

Robert Spencer, founder of Jihad Watch said the media spin shows the favoritism Muslim groups are given to the exclusion of other groups and that CAIR is simply trying to use this attack to portray Muslims as the exclusive victims in this case.

“Implying the attacks were directed solely at Muslims is obviously false and self-serving. It seems as if whoever did this is opposed to foreigners or religion in general and to say this is exclusively a Muslim hate crime is a politically motivated claim.”

(end quote from Atlas Shrugs)

The quote above is a real knee-slapper. After all, the entire topic is the vandalism of a MOSQUE. Duh, I wonder why anyone might view this as directed against Muslims, as opposed to (in Spencer's words) "religion in general".

I probably shouldn't follow any Atlas Shrugs links for the rest of the year...

Then in the update says it had nothing to do with the mosque at all, and was actually a revenge against a deli. It's either/or, if you ask me.

Uh, not to defend Spencer, but his whole point is that not only the Mosque has been attacked.

Yeah, but his "point" is derived, as far as I can tell, from taking umbrage at a few bylines and then conflating into overarching favoritism. I've seen a mix of bylines on this story--some do lead with the mosque, but then mention the other attacks in the subheader or the introductory paragraph.

I won't even credit him with derangement. He took a basic journalistic decision about presentation and transformed it into a conspiracy because his livelihood is based on looking like a brave truth-teller standing against sinister forces manipulating the hoi polloi.

Could be a Muslim doing it to themselves... A similar thing happened in the Seattle area to a Muslim owned business... turns out the guy wasn't doing so well so he and one of his buddies spray painted some anti Muslim things on the biz and then torched it... tried to blame it on "Islamophooooooooobia" from whitey... they were caught thank God!

Santorum’s Racist Welfare Rant: ‘I Don’t Want To Make Black People’s Lives Better’ With Taxpayer Money

At a campaign stop in Sioux City, Iowa on Sunday, Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum singled out blacks as being recipients of assistance through federal benefit programs, telling a mostly-white audience he doesn’t want to “make black people’s lives better by giving them somebody else’s money.” [...]

It is unclear why Santorum pinpointed blacks specifically as recipients of federal aid. The original questioner asked “how do we get off this crazy train? We’ve got so much foreign influence in this country now,” adding “where do we go from here?”

Then again, given Debbie Schlussel's successful identification of the 'Muslim facial topography' of the suspect in the Rusty Schneider shooting--who turned out to be a Jew--these folks aren't very good at Muslim recognition. Typical states rights bigot: the state has the right to quash whoever is in my way, or makes me nervous!

The state is smaller, and thus easier to fit into the uterus.

He doesn't even look especially black to me. More like a generic "person of color"...could be Bengali, Filipino, Chinese Jamaican, you name it...

Maybe. My first thought was black, but I'm not especially good at figuring out what people will look like from those sketches.

Anything they can't get Federal support for becomes a States Rights issue. Anything they can't push at the State level is proof we need the Federal government to step in.

You'd probably do well to avoid following the links all together, really.

I think you're right. If I follow more of those links, I'd be using the FFS acronym a lot.

Yeah, Police department sketches aren't exactly the best, especially when people remember things differently. I'm a big time people watcher and love trying to guess ethnicity from facial features, but sometimes you just can't tell.

A conservative bigot is a conservative bigot is a conservative bigot, whether he uttered the words "black people" in some recent speech, or not.

I see.

Senator Grassley if Iowa says the situation there is "very fluid". Would that not favor Santorum?

out of all the ethnic combos and colors of Jamaican folks, the people with a Chinese heritage are strikingly beautiful

I just saw this on Wikipedia.

The Nigerian Islamist militant group Boko Haram issues a warning to Christians in northern Nigeria to leave the region within three days.

Can we PLEASE go Ottoman on these assholes yet. Pretty Please?

Uh, not to defend Spencer, but his whole point is that not only the Mosque has been attacked.

You're correct. I think the mental chaos in the Atlas Shrugs post rubbed off on me. Time for a lunch break.

No. May result in genocide, proceed with caution.

That I don't get. It looks like a young black man with short hair and no beard. They come in all religions, and are not especially represented at CAIR as far as I know.

Then again, given Debbie Schlussel's successful identification of the 'Muslim facial topography' of the suspect in the Rusty Schneider shooting--who turned out to be a Jew--these folks aren't very good at Muslim recognition. I think it's because once they spot one under the bed, they squeeze their eyes shutt tightly.

hehe Muslim recognition. Doesn't Facebook have an app for that??

I'm thinking Ottoman-Saudi War. We have dealt with these assholes before. I see no other way of dealing with these terrors other than the brute viciousness the Ottoman did so. We just have to not fall into the Nationalist Trap the Ottoman's fell into. That is the cause of the Armenian Genocide. The Turkish Hyper-nationalism.

It’s amazing and sickening how much Geller’s smears of Muslims resemble antisemitic libels of Jews.

Pretty much.

Her entire Butterball jihad is a twisted mirror of the Kosher tax myth, and now this? She's a really, really sad person to not see that she's become everything she claims to hate.

Fat lot of good that eventually did them.

"We"?

Well anyway, good luck with that. You'll need it.

It would have worked if the US and Britain hadn't made deals with the Sauds for oil in the 20's and 30's allowing them to get a leg up on the other groups surrounding them in the Post-Ottoman vacuum.

It still took them until the 70's to recover from the Ottomans. Which is roughly when the problems started.

Charles Johnson,

You wrote,
"It’s amazing and sickening how much Geller’s smears of Muslims resemble antisemitic libels of Jews."

Its far more ironic than it is amazing given the fact that Geller is Jew. Imagine how she would be have if any one, including a non Muslim came up to her and used made statements about Jews similar to the ones she constantly makes about Muslims. Seriously just imagine.
