Here’s a thread to keep up on breaking news from South Carolina, where it looks like a former Speaker of the House who was forced to resign in disgrace is going to be the choice of the Republican Party…

And there we have it — Mitt Romney has conceded the South Carolina primary to Newt Gingrich. Apparently, 73% of the votes for Gingrich came from evangelicals, who are oddly unconcerned about Newt’s sleazy, very “liberal” personal life. But at least he’s not a Satanic Mormon.
