3 Stanghazi  Tue, Jan 24, 2012 5:52:36pm

Well hell, this isn't exactly on topic, but in a general way I'm commenting on how the people diss Obama. Tonight will bring new examples.

TonyC & Satt, you around?

Did you read Tim Thomas' tea party statement on why he didn't attend the Bruins White House honor?

Team player, eh? I have lost so much respect.

I know -- they seem to have a slight problem with that notice. The embedded video seems to be working fine, though.

All the broadcast networks and cable news; MSNBC has the entire primetime lineup commenting (I assume Fox and CNN do as well, but I'm not going to check).

Easy - GOP will support demonization of China, but they're anti-regulation in rhetoric. Can't do both. And it would hurt companies like WalMart, Apple, and others that import tons of goods to the US.

He's not talking about stopping importation of legitimate products -- China is the world's largest producer of counterfeit and pirated products. That's what needs to be confronted. It's totally out of control, and it really is hurting American businesses.

Why isn't the president a magic genie who grants wishes

The SOTU is not the time to let on that he's not.

Nation building at home? Never been a better time to build?

Banks will have to refinance mortgages at historic low rates, using fees imposed on some of the same banks that were bailed out.

Quick, somebody get Obama a projector, a chalk board, and some textbooks so he can fully explain each of his ideas over the course of a 57 hour speech.

Sounds like a Simpsons episode where the kids are tring to explain to Homer that Sideshow Bob is going to kill their Aunt.

Cooperation in the public interest: Mitch McConnell:
What We Expect to Hear from the President Tonight

‘Well my message is this: this debate isn’t about what Congress may or may not do in the future, it’s about what this President has already done. The President’s policies are now firmly in place. It’s his economy now.

Boehner doesnt clap to nation building at home.

Really, we are fucked by these people.

Not only do Republicans withhold cooperation and bipartisanship, they withhold applause.

re: #331 Alexzander
