Gonna check out now. Got some work to do. Will likely miss most of the game.

Here's a summary.
Tight butts, spandex, bumping and grinding (and I haven't even addressed the cheerleaders yet).
100 million people watching for the first commercial break to see how brilliant the ad execs at Budweiser are.
And they're playing inside...on astroturf...like a bunch of pussies.

And for lovely memories from last year (although I just discovered it)

THE FORCE, from VW

They are actually studying this ad (heard it on NPR) for how people smile during a commercial and keep coming back to watch it.

8 darthstar  Sun, Feb 5, 2012 2:37:15pm

Here's the game run-down as I see it...
stuffed clams, bacon wrapped vienna sausages, deviled eggs three ways (traditional, spicy, and "bacon-n-deviled"), Mac-n-cheese, grilled sausages with sauerkraut, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, salsa, other dips, brisket, good wine, beer and bourbon...and that's just a start.

It should be a good party.

Someone needs to study how many of those smiling people buy a Volkswagon because of it. But I suspect no one in the advertising biz wants to see those results.

Well that was the most depressing successful shadowrun ever.

Some days, being runners means you get to save the world, rescue the girl, and destroy an evil AI>

Some days, being a runner means you're powerless to stop a good (well all right) guy from going to prison, his husband from dieing of syphilAIDS, and Aztechnology from getting to build its bypass....

Clearly the moral of this story is that the only way for a run to have a happy ending is if we screw Aztechnology extra hard next time around!

Call me cynical, but I see zero evidence of this whatsoever. It strikes me that people say she's interesting/original/terrific solely because that's exactly how she's marketed; that's what the advertising copy says.

When I first became aware that something called "Lady Gaga" existed, I honestly assumed it was something like a SNL skit gone viral (ala More Cowbell). I continued assuming this for quite a while before I realized it was intended to be taken seriously.

Antiwar protesters at White House say NO to US or Israeli attack on Iran"

Although police were in the process of destroying a good part of Occupy DC's village as I dropped by to shoot some quick photos and video, I also realized that many more villages will be smashed by Israeli and
possibly US troops if this war is not smashed. What is happening to
Occupy DC will happen to towns and villages all over the Middle East,
plus live ammunition, plus aerial bombing, if this war is not preempted
now from inside the US. Refusing to allow Israel to attack somebody is easy if you are the United States: you just threaten to end all military and economic aid. Therefore, President Obama has the ability to back up his words demanding that Israel stand down their war threats with real muscle.

A vigilante is just a man lost in the scramble for his own gratification. He can be destroyed, or locked up. But if you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, and if they can't stop you, then you become something else entirely. A legend, Mr. Wayne.

The group has two main vehicles, the ROFL Copter which is a Helicopter with anti-material minigun mounted on it, and the Party Van.

The Party Van is what you get if you take a tour bus, weld a few feet of armor to it, and mount an anti-material minigun on the roof.

Our Final Run in Denver involved us driving the Party Van through the streets of Denver while our ARO flashed "F*** Yeah, we are the police!" as we drove towards a Military Base and the dragon within who we were doing a favor for.
